With Jarrett Allen (knee) unavailable, Ellis moved into the Cavaliers’ starting lineup on Monday. The production was adequate, as he logged 32 minutes and recorded a complete stat line. On a night when Evan Mobley and Donovan Mitchell scored 34 points each, Harden had one of his most productive nights as a Cavalier in the assist category. He has reached double figures in that category five times since being traded to Cleveland, including each of the team’s last two games. In wins over the Heat and Jazz, The Beard accumulated 28 assists and two turnovers. Cleveland plays three more games in Week 23, starting with the Lakers on Tuesday.

Coming off one of his worst performances of the season, Mitchell may have been thrilled to see the lottery-bound Jazz on the schedule. While the Cavaliers managed to beat the Heat on March 27, Spida shot 1-of-10 from the field, finishing with six points. He did not run into much resistance on Monday, shooting over 50 percent from the field. Mitchell was also responsible for five assists and three three-pointers in an excellent start to his Week 23.

With Jarrett Allen (knee) getting the night off, Mobley was dominant in the opener of Cleveland’s three-game road trip. In addition to shooting over 70 percent from the field, he provided excellent value in rebounds and blocked shots. Mobley’s season-long fantasy value has not been what most fantasy managers expected before the season began. However, he’s still capable of big nights, especially when Allen is not available. Banchero wasn’t the only Magic player to perform poorly in the 139-87 loss, but it’s nearly impossible to win a game when your star struggles this badly. He missed all five of his three-point attempts and shot 33.3 percent from inside the arc. Banchero, who played 30 minutes, finished with more turnovers (five) than made field goals (three) in a brutal finish for Paolo and the fantasy managers rostering him. After playing 36 minutes on Thursday in his return from an illness that sidelined him for two games, Suggs played 26 minutes on Sunday. The nature of the game was the reason, as Orlando was on the wrong end of a 139-87 defeat. In addition to allowing the Raptors to shoot 57.4 percent from the field, Orlando made just 37.8 percent of its attempts in the 139-87 defeat. Bane was the most productive of the Magic’s five starters, but that rings hollow when you lose by 52 points. Bane has provided second-round value in eight-cat formats since the All-Star break, and he’s certainly capable of sustaining that during the championship week of Yahoo! default leagues. Strus put on a show shooting the basketball, as he was 8-of-11 from beyond the arc. And the 22 points he scored in the first half were a career-high. Add in the eight rebounds and 29 points, and this was an excellent night for those who have Strus on their fantasy rosters. Cleveland’s “others” handled a large chunk of the scoring on Friday, with Harden doing a masterful job of running the show. He recorded 14 assists and committed just one turnover, more than compensating for a 4-of-11 night from the field. When Mobley and Jarrett Allen are on the floor, there have been questions in the past about how their respective upsides are impacted. Both were excellent on Friday, recording double-doubles in the blowout of the Heat. Having some help up front paid dividends for Mobley, who was limited to eight points and five rebounds in Wednesday’s loss to the Heat. Suggs’ playing time was not restricted on Thursday, and he showed no ill effects from the two games he missed due to an illness. While Wagner did not do much during Thursday’s shootaround in preparation for Orlando’s matchup with Sacramento, he did respond well to a recent contact session, according to Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley. It has been over a month since the forward was shut down due to a need for additional time and rehabilitation to recover from a high ankle sprain suffered in December.
