Monk returned to the Kings’ rotation on Friday after missing two games with a sore right ankle, playing 23 minutes in a loss to the Celtics. Since Sacramento was still without Russell Westbrook, there was room in the rotation for Keon Ellis, who logged 20 minutes. If Monk and Westbrook can’t play on Sunday, Ellis’ fantasy ceiling will be raised.

Sabonis did not play in Friday’s loss to the Celtics, as it was Sacramento’s second game in as many nights. Managers who can afford to hold onto the rookie should do so, as his playing time will likely increase after the All-Star break, if not sooner.

While the Cavaliers entered the season as one of the strongest teams in the Eastern Conference, Cleveland is a bit of a different animal with Evan Mobley and Darius Garland sidelined. The load for scoring largely falls on Mitchell’s shoulders even when the Cavs are at 100 percent, which makes it all the more curious that he didn’t lead the team in points or field goal attempts Friday. The 29-year-old shooting guard led the team in turnovers by far with eight as the team lost to the Suns by 13. He’s provided third-round value over the last two weeks. The Cavaliers will look to bounce back Sunday against the Trail Blazers.

LaVine came off the bench in his return from a two-game absence on Thursday, and he returned to the starting lineup 24 hours later. He scored 17 points in both games, though he was more efficient in this one, even if the result on the scoreboard was the same. LaVine’s name will be floated around in trade rumors as the deadline approaches, but until then, he’ll remain a decent scoring option, even if he hasn’t been able to score as much as he typically does in recent weeks.

Raynaud got the starting nod with Domantas Sabonis sidelined for the second leg of Sacramento’s back-to-back, and he took full advantage of the increased opportunity. He was able to match his career-high for rebounds and record a double-double for the first time since December. Sabonis should return to take on the Wizards on Sunday, which will push Raynaud back to the bench. However, it was good to see Raynaud be productive, especially after how rough most of his starts were in December.

Schröder started on Thursday and had arguably his best game of the season with Russell Westbrook (foot) sidelined. He started again in this one, and, to put it mildly, the results were not as good. Schröder set a season high for scoring on Thursday, but follow it up by scoring four points for the second time in his last three games. Basically, Schröder has either been really good or really bad in recent weeks; no middle ground for average production. He should start against the Wizards on Sunday if Westbrook remains out.

Porter was initially listed as questionable with a knee injury, but has since been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Suns. With Darius Garland (toe) also out, Porter’s absence impacts the Cavaliers’ depth, though it doesn’t impact fantasy basketball. LaVine returns to the starting unit after coming off the bench on Thursday, which will push Nique Clifford back to the bench. Schröder entered the starting lineup with Russell Westbrook (foot) sidelined, and it led to one of his best performances of the season. LaVine returned from a two-game absence with back soreness, but he came off the bench in his first game back. Back in the Cavaliers’ rotation after a two-game absence, Hunter’s 19 points were the most he’s scored in a game since December 22. The issue from a fantasy standpoint is that he offers little defensive value, lowering his ceiling considerably. He’s worth watching, but Wednesday’s performance doesn’t change much regarding Hunter’s value in standard leagues.

With Evan Mobley (calf) unavailable, Allen had a little more room to operate in the frontcourt.
