While Queta’s sprained right ankle did not result in him missing any games, Hauser sat out Sunday’s loss to the Knicks due to lower back spasms. Both are on track to play Wednesday night, with the latter’s return likely pushing Baylor Scheierman to the bench. On Sunday, Scheierman recorded his first career double-double, which included a career-high 13 rebounds.

Thompson could get the night off despite not dealing with an injury. He has played roughly 20 minutes per game off the bench over the Mavericks’ last three games and should see a similar role if he’s available. Khris Middleton is expected to make his debut for Dallas, so he would soak up Thompson’s minutes.

Absent from the injury report, Middleton is on track to make his Mavericks debut on Tuesday. With Dallas being best served to strengthen its draft lottery odds, the veteran forward may not log heavy minutes anytime soon. As was the case in Washington, Middleton does not qualify as a must-roster player in most fantasy leagues.

Starting for the injured Sam Hauser (back), Scheierman had arguably the best game of his two-year NBA career. The second-year guard recorded his second double-double, finishing with career-highs in rebounds and assists. His fantasy ceiling depends on whether he starts or comes off the bench, but Scheierman will be worth streaming when allowed to approach 30 minutes, as he did against the Knicks.

White shot the ball well on Sunday, which has not been the norm for him this season. The Celtics guard is shooting 39 percent from the field, but his fantasy value remains excellent due to his production across multiple categories. White did not record any defensive stats on Sunday, but that has not been the norm for him. He’ll look to go into the All-Star break on a high note when the Celtics face the Bulls on Wednesday.

Brown did what he could to get the Celtics back into Sunday’s game, including scoring or assisting on all 15 of the team’s third-quarter points. Unfortunately for him, the other Celtics struggled to join the party, and the result was a 111-89 defeat. Brown has been outstanding all season long, and it’s not like he had a bad game on Sunday. He and the Celtics play three games in Week 17, but only one will be played before the All-Star break.

Lower back spasms will keep Hauser out of Sunday’s matchup with the Knicks. Christie led three Mavericks starters in double figures, and he’s scored at least ten points in five consecutive games. The issue for him recently, even with the double-digit points streak, has been that Christie has made just 38.4 percent of his shots from the field over the past two weeks. Given the limited assists and defensive stats, Christie has limited upside in category leagues.

For the few who had Bagley rostered, his Mavericks debut went about as well as one could hope. Despite coming off the bench, he played 24 minutes, six more than starter Daniel Gafford (nine points, four rebounds and two assists), who was in foul trouble for most of the night. Even if the minutes were reversed, Bagley offers solid fantasy upside in Dallas. Deep-league managers should consider picking him up, with Dallas playing four games in Week 17.

Making his first appearance since being traded to Dallas, Jones played 17 minutes on Saturday. While the assist production was excellent, he’s in a challenging spot as far as fantasy relevance is concerned. The basketball will be in Cooper Flagg’s (14/4/4 with two three-pointers) hands a lot as he continues to develop as a pro. So even if Jones were to move into the starting lineup at some point, he would not be worth the risk unless there’s a dire need for assists.

Thompson turned back the clock during the second quarter of Saturday’s game, scoring 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the field. The Spurs did a better job of defending Thompson during the second half, but the final stat line was solid. Unfortunately for the few who hold out hope that Klay can achieve fantasy relevance, he wasn’t moved at the trade deadline. Getting to a team with postseason ambitions may have given him a better shot at providing value later in the season.

Vučević came off the bench in his Celtics debut, and the veteran center put up a double-double. Vooch logged 28 minutes, with Luka Garza (two points, three rebounds) being the holdover whose opportunities took the biggest hit. Pritchard has scored at least 24 points in each of the last three games. The move to the bench appears to have enhanced the guard’s value, an unsurprising development since he won Sixth Man of the Year last season. Since scoring 24 points in a January 24 loss to the Lakers, Christie scored 13 points or less in four consecutive games. Marshall has not been a player that fantasy managers look to for three-point production, as he entered Thursday with ten games of at least two triples. That changed on Thursday, as the Mavericks’ wing hit four, matching his career-high. Add in the points, rebounds and assists, and this was a good night to have Marshall rostered. After shooting 4-of-13 from the field in Tuesday’s win over the Mavericks, White was better as the Celtics used a huge third quarter to win in Houston without Jaylen Brown. The Celtics’ guard finished with his first 20-point game in nearly a month, as the 28 points were the most for him since a January 10 loss to the Spurs.
