Davis was initially questionable with a calf injury after missing Monday’s loss to the Jazz. The 32-year-old power forward ended up playing 37 minutes in the overtime win over the Pistons. Davis continues to be in and out of the lineup with injuries, but he was able to showcase his skills against one of the contending teams that might be interested in trading for him against the Pistons Thursday. Dallas will be back in action on Saturday against the 76ers.

Coming off a 42-point performance in the loss to the Jazz Monday, Flagg was excellent in the win over the Pistons on Thursday. The 18-year-old power forward joined an exclusive club with Kobe Bryant and LeBron James as the only 18-year-olds in NBA history with 500 points. Flagg stopped and hit a jump shot with 3.4 seconds left in regulation to give the Mavericks the lead, though they still needed overtime to secure the victory. Dallas is off on Friday ahead of a game with the 76ers on Saturday.

Porter had at least 28 points for the fifth time in his last six games. The 27-year-old small forward didn’t have one of his better shooting games, though, as he was 10-of-24 from the field. Porter is no stranger to getting there on volume, especially since joining the Nets this year. He’ll have a chance to get back on the right track against the Raptors on Sunday.

The rookie bounced back from a zero-point outing against the Nets recently by logging his third double-double of December. Nembhard led the Mavericks in assists and was one of four on the team to score at least 10 points. He did commit four turnovers, but was otherwise very productive on offense in the high-scoring contest. Nembhard has had a nice rookie season to this point and should continue to improve going forward.

Washington filled the scoring and rebounding void that Anthony Davis (calf) left behind on Monday in his absence. The veteran forward produced mostly inside the arc en route to his first 20-point game of December, with his double-digit rebounds leading to double-double No. 3 on the season. His scoring total was second on the team behind Cooper Flagg’s 42 points, with the two combining for over half of the Mavericks’ points in the loss. Washington has had a good year, but his production has reached another level recently when Davis hasn’t been in uniform. If Davis is out again on Thursday against Detroit, expect Washington to put up good numbers.

Flagg made history on Monday in Salt Lake City, becoming the first 18-year-old player to score 40 points in an NBA game. He got there with efficient shooting and lots of production from the charity stripe, but just as impressively, he was able to impact the game as a rebounder, passer, and defender. The career-high scoring total wasn’t enough to give the Mavericks a third straight win. However, Flagg continues to make strides as his rookie season progresses. He’ll have a chance to be productive again on Thursday against the Pistons.

Clowney, who drained 4-of-8 from downtown, was at the epicenter of Brooklyn’s unrelenting three-point barrage as they went 19-of-43 to shoot a staggering 44.2 percent as a team from long range. Their entire starting lineup reached double figures and they raced out to a commanding 17-point halftime lead and extended that advantage to nearly 30 points by the outset of the fourth quarter. Amazingly, Clowney missed all five of his shots from inside the arc. The 21-year-old has been hot-and-cold this season from a fantasy standpoint, but he’s in the midst of a strong stretch over the past two weeks. Wolf came rocketing back to earth in this one, going 0-for-7 from downtown, after exploding for 17 points over 27 minutes earlier this week against the Mavericks. Mann won’t bring much to the table as a scorer, but the Nets starting a rookie point guard (Egor Dëmin) opens the door for him to occasionally have a night like he did on Friday. The seven assists matched Mann’s season-high, and fantasy managers also received solid value in steals and percentages. However, he is still ranked well outside the top-200 in eight-cat formats, so there’s no need to take the plunge following Friday’s performance. The Nets center finished with a complete stat line, which included a 4-of-4 effort at the foul line. Wolf has scored at least 17 points in three of his last six games. But is he at the point where he can be trusted in a higher percentage of redraft leagues? Maybe so. Despite the inconsistent scoring, Wolf has been a 10th-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. While he certainly isn’t a must-add, deep-league managers can’t be blamed for considering Wolf well ahead of the “silly season” rush. Porter dropped another gaudy point total on Friday, extending his streak of 30-point games to four. This is the player many envisioned him being after the Nets acquired him from the Nuggets. After scoring just six points in his first game back on the bench on December 6, Christie got back on track Friday night. He’s reached double figures in three of his last four outings, with the 15 points being the most in a game for Christie since November 24. While Naji Marshall (17/1/4/1 with one three-pointer) appears to be locked into the starting lineup, Christie is still capable of providing value. Managers in deep leagues who held onto him were rewarded for their faith (or forgetting to drop Max) on Friday.

While other Mavericks were more impactful as scorers, Washington recorded a complete stat line in Friday’s victory. And with Dereck Lively II (foot) done for the season, he stands to receive even more opportunities to provide solid fantasy value. Providing close to top-50 value over the past two weeks, Washington is now a top-100 player for the season. After a subpar first half in which he tallied four points, three rebounds and three assists, Davis flipped the switch. The Mavericks forward/center accounted for 20 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots in the second half, and the final stat line may lead some to believe that Davis was steady throughout. With Dereck Lively II done for the season and Daniel Gafford limited by an ankle injury, Davis will have to serve as the Mavericks’ anchor in the middle. Porter came out of the gate on fire, dropping 22 points in the first half on 9-of-14 shooting, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc, to power the Nets to a commanding 62-44 advantage. The 27-year-old scoring machine has delievered first-round value for fantasy purposes as one of the most impactful all-around performers over the past week, averaging 34.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 0.7 blocks over three games during that span. Claxton was a dominant presence in the paint in this one as he shot 55 percent from the floor while pulling down 11 rebounds and also dishing out double-digit assists. He also chipped in three blocks just for good measure. The 26-year-old big man has been exceptional of late, delivering third-round fantasy value over the past week, averaging 13.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 0.8 steals and two blocks over his last four games.

Sharpe provided a spark off the bench as Brooklyn raced out to a big lead early and was able to cruise to a relatively easy win. He knocked down all four of his shots from the floor to finish the first half with nine points off the bench. He finished with a solid all-around line as he also added a couple rebounds and assists in addition to a steal and a block. Over his last five games, Wolf has averaged 12.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.2 three-pointers per game. It goes without saying that these are solid numbers for a rookie coming off the bench behind two young bigs in Nic Claxton and Noah Clowney. However, the lackluster defensive production makes Wolf difficult to trust this early in the season. While the recent run has been encouraging, he has not reached the point where he should be considered in most redraft leagues. That’s likely to change later this season, especially with the Nets dropping to 1-10 at home on Thursday.

With Terance Mann limited to 18 minutes after a two-game absence and the hard fall he took during the second half of Thursday’s game, there was more room for Williams to contribute despite coming off the bench. The former lottery pick finished with his second 20-point game of the season and first since October 24. However, while Thursday was good, Williams’ season-long fantasy value remains subpar. The only reason to consider adding him ahead of Sunday’s game against the Pelicans would be if Mann and Michael Porter Jr. can’t play.
