Christie left Saturday’s loss to the Lakers early with an ankle injury, but after three days to recover, he’ll be available. Christie has been surging as of late, and fantasy managers should expect him to handle his normal workload.

Flagg was not expected to play in Sunday’s matchup with Milwaukee, but that was the second leg of a back-to-back set. That game was postponed, so he’s had three days off to get healthy. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on Flagg’s status, and if he’s unable to go, Naji Marshall could see a bump in usage. Marshall has standalone value that is not dependent on Flagg’s availability.

Due to Monday’s game being a blowout, Kalkbrenner (26 minutes) played more than starter Moussa Diabaté (12 points and five rebounds in 20 minutes). The rookie finished one rebound shy of a double-double, and the overall production was excellent. Kalkbrenner’s fantasy ceiling is lower than it was earlier this season since he’s coming off the bench, but the 7-foot-1 center is still playing consistent rotation minutes.

Like the other Hornets starters, Knueppel’s playing time decreased because Monday’s game was a blowout. The rookie logged 20 minutes, negatively affecting his production. However, fantasy managers still received solid value in the rebound, assist and steal categories. Knueppel, who has been one of the best rookies in the NBA this season, returns to action on Wednesday when the Hornets visit Memphis.

Recently, the Hornets have taken measures to manage Ball’s workload, so the training staff must have loved Monday’s outcome. Charlotte won by a large margin, beating the 76ers 130-93, which led to Ball playing only 20 minutes. Fantasy managers who have him rostered would have hoped for a more competitive game given the impact on Ball’s playing time, but keeping him healthy throughout the season is Charlotte’s priority.

Monday’s game was one of the best of the season for Miller, and not just because he notched his third 30-point game. The third-year wing only needed to attempt 12 shots from the field to get the job done, shooting 6-of-9 from beyond the arc. And with the Hornets leading by as much as 50, Miller did not play at all during the fourth quarter. He’s been on a roll recently, having scored at least 20 points in seven consecutive games.

While Sexton’s availability does affect the Hornets’ bench rotation, it will not have a significant impact on fantasy basketball. Tre Mann may pick up a few more minutes off the bench, but there’s no need to roster him in redraft leagues.

After logging 23 minutes off the bench in Saturday’s loss to the Lakers, Williams is dealing with a sore right knee. His absence would likely lead to more playing time for Ryan Nembhard, who played only four minutes against the Lakers. D’Angelo Russell may also see some action after picking up a DNP-CD.

Thompson only played 14 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Lakers, the least he’s played in a game since New Year’s Day. The doubtful tag suggests the veteran guard won’t be available on Sunday, potentially leading to rookie Miles Kelly playing rotation minutes. There’s no need to stream him in redraft leagues.

Christie exited Saturday’s loss to the Lakers early in the third quarter after spraining his left ankle, but he was not in the locker room long before returning. If he’s unable to play, the Mavericks would likely give Jaden Hardy rotation minutes after he picked up a DNP-CD on Saturday.

Flagg played 34 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Lakers, and this is the first back-to-back for the Mavericks since the rookie missed two games with a sprained left ankle. Add in Dallas having to travel to Milwaukee, and it makes sense that he would be unlikely to play on Sunday. No Flagg would further enhance Naji Marshall’s fantasy value; he’s worth adding regardless of what happens with the rookie’s availability.

Williams doesn’t offer much in the way of defensive production, which limits his fantasy ceiling just as much as coming off the bench does. However, being on a standard deal gives him a clear edge over Ryan Nembhard, who only played four minutes Saturday night and is still on a two-way contract. Fully trusting Williams in fantasy leagues right now is challenging, but that may change after the All-Star break.

While Flagg couldn’t get much done scoring-wise, he still offered solid value in the rebound, assist and steal categories. The biggest issue for the rookie in category leagues recently has been the foul line, with Flagg making 61.9 percent of his attempts over the past two weeks. With Dallas visiting a Milwaukee squad that won’t have the injured Giannis Antetokounmpo on Sunday, it would be unsurprising if Flagg finished Week 14 with a flourish.

Rostered in 39 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Marshall has been a fantasy stud recently. Providing third-round value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, the Mavericks’ wing recorded his first double-double of the season in Saturday’s defeat. With Dallas visiting Milwaukee on Sunday in its final game of Week 14, don’t hesitate to pick up Marshall if he’s sitting on the waiver wire.

Christie left Saturday’s game during the third quarter but was able to return after a short period in the locker room. The Mavericks’ guard finished with his fourth consecutive 20-point game, and he should be rostered in a higher percentage of Yahoo! leagues. A sixth-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, Christie is rostered in 26 percent of Yahoo! leagues. With the Mavericks facing the Bucks on Sunday, now’s a good time to pick him up.

Cissé’s absence coincides with Daniel Gafford’s return from a sprained ankle. As a result, Gafford can absorb those minutes, at a minimum. Dwight Powell will remain in the rotation, but he hasn’t offered much fantasy value, whether he starts or comes off the bench.

Diabaté again started ahead of Ryan Kalkbrenner against the Wizards on Saturday. The 24-year-old center also played the majority of the center minutes with 32 minutes played to Kalkbrenner’s 16 and it’s no mystery as to why given their respective production Saturday. The pair of centers continue to handle the center minutes, though it’s anyone’s guess who will lead the team in minutes on a given night. Kalkbrenner’s fantasy value would have better standing if Diabaté’s role was diminished in any way.

Miller was just three assists shy of recording a triple-double against the Wizards on Saturday. The 23-year-old small forward is averaging 23.7 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, 4.0 assists per game and 3.2 three-pointers per game over his last six games. Kalkbrenner came off the bench in the Hornets’ win over the Magic on Thursday, but the 24-year-old rookie center played 27 minutes compared to starter Moussa Diabate’s 16 minutes. The Hornets’ Twitter account initially had Kalkbrenner in Saturday’s starting lineup, before correctly showing Diabate as the starter. Both centers will likely still play Saturday, but if Charlotte continues to give Kalkbrenner more minutes he could move into the starting lineup eventually.

Kalkbrenner was originally listed as probable with a wrist injury, so it’s no surprise he’s available for Saturday’s game. The 24-year-old rookie center had 10 points and nine rebounds in 27 minutes off the bench in the Hornets’ win over the Magic on Thursday. After missing Thursday’s game against the Magic with a knee injury, Williams appears ready to go for Saturday’s matchup with the Wizards. Despite logging 27 minutes in a win over the Magic on Thursday, the rookie center isn’t a lock to take the floor on Saturday against Washington. Active after missing the previous three games, Washington was used in a reserve role on Thursday. The forward played 22 minutes, eight shy of the limit set by the team. Washington didn’t have a prolific scoring night, but he filled up the stat sheet, which was excellent for those who have him rostered in category leagues. Before Thursday’s game, Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said that Flagg could be limited to 20-25 minutes. Key word: could. The rookie played 30 minutes and showed no signs of being hampered by the sprained left ankle he suffered last week. For the first time this season, Christie has scored at least 20 points in three consecutive games. And he’s flipped a switch since the holidays, with five of his six 20-point games occurring after Christmas. With Anthony Davis (hand) out for the foreseeable future, there will continue to be room for Christie to have a greater impact offensively. A double-digit scorer in each of his last ten games, Marshall has scored 22 or more in four of his previous six. Miller got hot late in the third quarter and scored 11 points over the final six minutes of the frame. He didn’t do any more scoring in the fourth quarter, but he didn’t need to due to the lopsided score. This was his fifth straight game scoring at least 20 points, which is his longest stretch of the season. He has shot the ball more efficiently in recent weeks, which has helped his value. Sexton has been a consistent source of offense off the bench for the Hornets this season, but that hasn’t led to much production for fantasy managers. However, he was incredibly efficient in this game, which led to his highest field goal percentage in a game this year. Sexton hasn’t been worth rostering in standard leagues this season, and that won’t change just because of one solid performance. Unless he’s starting consistently, he should be left on the waiver wire in standard leagues.

Ball got off to a hot start for Charlotte, scoring eight of their first 11 points and assisting on the other three. He didn’t stay that hot, but he was back in the starting lineup after coming off the bench on Wednesday. He logged 28 minutes after playing 22 minutes on Wednesday.
