Cunningham has dished out at least nine assists in five straight games, and the 14 he recorded on Tuesday were four shy of his season-high. However, there was a negative for those competing in nine-cat formats: turnovers. Cunningham committed a season-high nine against the Kings, and that has been a category that fantasy managers have needed to punt in previous seasons. There’s a one-round difference between Cade’s eight-cat and nine-cat values, with the Pistons point guard being a first-round player in the former.

For just the fourth time this season and first since December 3, Harris has scored at least 20 points in a game. Tuesday’s final tally was two shy of the veteran forward’s season-high. Given Detroit’s depth, Harris’s fantasy ceiling and floor have taken a hit this season. Over the last two weeks, he’s ranked outside the top-150 in eight-cat formats, which is where his season-long value lies as well. Deep-league managers shouldn’t drop Harris immediately, but taking a swing on a player with higher upside wouldn’t be a bad idea.

For the third time this season, Duren has recorded a double-double in four consecutive games. The physicality he and the other Pistons’ interior players brought proved too much for the Kings to handle on Tuesday, as Detroit extended its lead atop the Eastern Conference to three games in the loss column. Duren has been close to a top-50 player in eight- and nine-cat formats this season, and it would be unsurprising if he cracked that threshold at some point and remained there.

It used to be unheard of for AD to play back-to-backs, but this was the third time this season that he did. He played 35 and 36 minutes and had at least 30 points in both. His scoring has been slightly down this season, but more performances like this will help regulate that mark. With P.J. Washington (foot) sidelined, Hardy started for the first time this season. The former second-round pick has been a strong scoring option at times throughout his career and was able to provide a few buckets in this one, but he didn’t end up doing much else in his 28 minutes. If Washington remains out against the Warriors on Christmas Day, and Hardy starts again, he won’t be worth streaming.

Flagg got off to a scorching hot start to this game; he scored 14 points without missing in the first quarter and entered halftime with 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting. He set a new career high for triples in this game; prior to this, Flagg had really struggled to shoot from deep. Over his previous 10 games, Flagg had hit a total of four triples. He came close to recording his first triple-double, and it seems that everything is starting to click for him. Flagg’s final line was good with one notable exception: free-throw shooting. The rookie missed half of his 10 attempts, a surprising performance given that he was an 82.8 percent shooter from the foul line entering the game. Unfortunately, after shooting 7-of-12 from the field in the first half, the veteran wing missed all five of his attempts in the second half. After scoring two points in a December 5 loss to the Thunder, Davis has tallied at least 24 in four of his last five appearances. Monday’s performance was the best of the bunch, with the Mavericks forward/center recording a season-high point total and extending his double-double streak to four games. With Daniel Gafford (three points, five rebounds and two steals in 14 minutes) still limited, all of Davis’ minutes were played at the five on Monday. Over the past two weeks, the veteran forward’s fantasy value has slipped, a byproduct of limited defensive production and Harris shooting 40.9 percent from the field. At times, the fourth quarter of Monday’s game felt like a duel between Cunningham and Boston’s Derrick White, with both knocking down critical shots in crunch time. Tobias Harris’ return from injury sent Stewart back to Detroit’s second unit, but that didn’t stop the sixth-year center from putting up good fantasy numbers. Off the bench, he logged 21 minutes and shot efficiently en route to finishing as the Pistons’ scoring leader.
