How Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd chooses to handle his point guard rotation has been unpredictable for most of this season. However, he may have found his answer in Nembhard. After dishing out ten assists in Monday’s win over the Nuggets, the rookie established a new season-high with 13 on Wednesday, and he only committed one turnover. In four starts, Nembhard has 30 assists and five turnovers. While Brandon Williams (7/2/2 in 14 minutes) and D’Angelo Russell (10/3/2 with two three-pointers in 15 minutes) played rotation minutes off the bench, Nembhard logged 34 as the starter. He’s worth rolling the dice on, especially with the Mavericks having two more games on their Week 7 schedule.

While his overall field-goal percentage wasn’t great, Thompson knocked down another five three-pointers on Wednesday. Since shooting 1-of-7 from deep in the Mavericks’ November 21 win over the Pelicans, the veteran guard/forward has made at least three three-pointers in six straight games. Thompson’s overall fantasy value remains low, but his recent run from three (3.9 three-pointers per game over the past two weeks) gives him some value in deep category leagues.

Davis didn’t have the best night shooting the basketball, and his injured right ring finger may be an issue. That said, he still shot 50 percent from three and was highly impactful as a rebounder and shot-blocker. And with Daniel Gafford (ankle) exiting Wednesday’s game during the second half, the Mavericks may need Davis to spend more time at the center position than he may prefer. Just as concerning as Davis’ finger is the schedule, as the Mavericks end Week 7 with a back-to-back. He did not play both games of Dallas’ most recent back-to-back (November 28-29).

Flagg extended his streak of games with at least 20 points to three with another solid performance on Wednesday. Over the past two weeks, the rookie forward has provided top-50 value in eight-cat formats. Flagg started slowly, but he’s picked up the production by the game, most recently earning Western Conference Rookie of the Month honors. Given Dallas’ many injuries, Flagg will be asked to do a lot, even if his days as a point guard seem to be over.

A 20-point scorer in two consecutive games for the third time this season, Thompson recorded his fourth double-double on Wednesday. Also, this was his first game with at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists since November 5 against the Grizzlies. While he still hasn’t reached the heights that many fantasy managers hoped he would before the season began, Thompson has been a top-50 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks.

In addition to scoring at least 24 points in each of his last three games, Durant dished out a season-high eight assists on Wednesday. Given his skill set, it’s unsurprising that the future Hall of Fame forward has fit in seamlessly with his new teammates. Durant may not be providing first-round fantasy value, but he’s been far from a slouch in his new home. Houston closes its Week 7 with a back-to-back against the Suns (Friday) and Mavericks (Sunday).

The Kings struggled to find an answer for Şengün, who recorded his 11th double-double of the season on Wednesday. For the season, the Rockets center is providing top-25 value in eight-cat formats, which aligns with his Yahoo! ADP (19). As long as Şengün stays healthy, those who have him rostered should be well-positioned to compete in their leagues throughout the season.

Gafford continues to attempt to play through a lingering right ankle injury. Unfortunately, he had to leave Wednesday’s game during the third quarter and has since been ruled out for the rest of the night. With Dallas’ Week 7 slate concluding with a Friday/Saturday back-to-back, the few who have Gafford rostered should anticipate him missing at least one of those games. With Dereck Lively also out, that means more Anthony Davis at the center position as long as he’s able to play back-to-backs, which may not be the case.

Gafford is available after a two-game absence, giving the Mavericks a welcome infusion of depth in the frontcourt. He may start alongside Anthony Davis, which would shift AD to the four. If so, Naji Marshall could be the odd man out after filling in for P.J. Washington the last two games. However, Gafford’s playing time will be limited, so he’s more likely to come off the bench.

Washington will miss a third straight game after spraining his right ankle ahead of Saturday’s win over the Clippers. Naji Marshall has been the replacement in the starting lineup, which has raised his fantasy ceiling. At a minimum, he should already be rostered in 14-team leagues. If not, pick him up.

Adams was given the night off on Monday, sitting out the second game of a back-to-back in Utah. However, his absence did not result in significant minutes for fellow reserve Clint Capela, who played nine minutes. If Adams misses another game, there’s no need to consider adding Capela.

Gafford has missed the Mavericks’ last two games, leading to Anthony Davis serving as the starting center in Monday’s win over the Nuggets. Dwight Powell served as Davis’ backup in Denver, and that would likely remain the case if Gafford can’t play against Miami. Powell is not worth the risk in fantasy leagues.

Washington has missed Dallas’ last two games with a sprained right ankle, opening up a place in the starting lineup for Naji Marshall. Marshall has offered solid late-round value this season, due in part to the many injuries that have affected the Mavericks’ rotation. He’s worth holding onto for the time being, even if Washington plays.

Thompson finished with at least 20 points for the third time in the last five games, with his production inside the arc being key on Monday. Despite the loss, his scoring was significantly higher than the five points he posted the night prior against the Jazz. Yet, Thompson didn’t have nearly the same level of success as a facilitator this time around. Nonetheless, the third-year guard had a solid performance overall and should be able to secure another against the Kings on Wednesday.

Sengün was fantastic in Monday’s loss, reaching the 30-point mark for the third time this season while providing much more production as a rebounder and facilitator than the previous night against the Jazz. And as if his near-triple-double wasn’t enough, the fifth-year center had his most dominant defensive performance of the season from a fantasy basketball standpoint, tallying seven stocks for the game. Sengün is likely to make a massive impact on the offensive end each time he takes the floor. If his defensive production can remain consistent, his floor and ceiling will rise even further in fantasy leagues.

Durant was one of two Rockets to pass the 30-point mark on Monday in Salt Lake City. He tallied as many free throws as he did made field goals in this game, with high volume allowing his inefficient shooting to make enough scoring production to lead Houston in points. The two-time Finals MVP also tied a season-high in rebounds to fall just shy of a double-double. His five turnovers were one of his limited weaknesses on the night. He’ll have a chance to put together another strong performance against the Kings on Wednesday.

The 2025 first-overall selection picked up where he left off following his career-best scoring performance against the Clippers. While he didn’t reach the 30-point mark, Flagg picked his spots and made more than half of his attempts en route to securing his seventh 20-point game of the season. The rookie forward seems to be progressing nicely a quarter of the way through the season. Fantasy managers should expect Flagg to continue playing well as he gets more game experience under his belt.

In the third start of his rookie season, Nembhard once again provided the Mavericks with impact on the offensive end. Efficient shooting led the former Gonzaga Bulldog past the 20-point mark and to a new career-high, as he was one of three Mavericks to score at least 24 points on Monday. Additionally, the rookie guard was as impressive as a playmaker — he dished out double-digit assists, leading to the first double-double of his young NBA career. Nembhard is averaging 17.7 points over his three starts and will likely remain in the opening unit for a Mavericks team that has needed quality point guard play.

Davis reached the 30-point mark for the first time all season on Monday, needing 32 minutes of game action to do so. The scoring outburst against the Nuggets was a drastic improvement from Friday’s 12-point outing against the Lakers, which marked his first game back from a calf injury. Prior to the injury, AD had logged 20-point double-doubles in each of the first four games of the season. He was his usual productive self on the glass, as well, which led to his fifth double-double of the season. As his minutes start to pick back up, there’s no reason to believe Davis won’t continue to put up big numbers.

Williams is available after initially being questionable for Monday’s game. His ability to play likely means D’Angelo Russell will be out of the rotation. The veteran point guard picked up DNP-CDs in the Mavericks’ last two games, so there’s no reason to keep him rostered in fantasy leagues.

Adams only logged 17 minutes in this game, but that was enough time for him to record his third double-double of the season. He was able to dominate down low, but also at the free throw line, which is typically a weakness for him. Adams is shooting a career-best 73.3 percent from the line after shooting 46.2 percent last year and 36.4 percent the year before. He’ll only be worth consistently streaming when Alperen Şengün is unavailable, but this was a strong performance for him.

Şengün didn’t supply his typical dose of rebounds and dimes, but he was unstoppable as a scorer. He only played 28 minutes in the blowout win, so he could’ve had a better outing if the game was closer. Sheppard moved into the starting lineup with Kevin Durant (personal) unavailable for two games, but with KD back, Sheppard remained a starter, with Josh Okogie returning to the bench. Sheppard played 31 minutes in the blowout win, and while he didn’t do much scoring, he was able to make a big impact on this game. Assuming Sheppard remains a starter, he should be a reliable option in fantasy hoops for the remainder of the season, with potential to be one of the best late-round picks this year.

Following a two-game absence, KD was able to get back on track after struggling in his last two appearances. He shot 11-of-33 across his last two games, but in this one, he shot above 70 percent for the third time this season. Durant will continue to be an elite fantasy basketball option, even if his numbers are slightly down from his typical output. Ryan Nembhard (8/1/3 with two three-pointers) once again served as the starting point guard, but Williams played more minutes. He logged 26 to Nembhard’s 21, with the seven assists being the most in a game for Williams since November 12 against the Pelicans. The perimeter shot remains a work in progress, but Williams is worth keeping an eye on, given how unpredictable the Mavericks’ point guard rotation has been.

Marshall was supposed to begin Saturday’s game on the bench. But an ankle injury to P.J. Washington during pregame warmups forced Marshall to start, and he was productive in his 37 minutes. Due to injuries, he has been a more valuable player to fantasy managers than anyone anticipated before the season began. However, Marshall’s value hinges on the availability of Mavericks higher in the offensive pecking order. Dallas opens a four-game Week 7 in Denver on Monday, so keep Marshall in mind if Washington can’t play.

Cooper Flagg wasn’t the only Maverick to record a season-high point total on Saturday. Thompson went off in the second half, shooting 6-of-8 from beyond the arc, and finished with a season-high 23 points. He’s mainly a points and three-pointers option for fantasy managers, and Thompson has started to come good on those expectations after a slow start. Of course, his role proved more prominent than expected, thanks to injuries to Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. Thompson will look to build on this performance when the Mavs open a four-game Week 7 in Denver on Monday.

Flagg was rolling on Saturday, scoring 21 points in the first half. The Clippers couldn’t come up with an answer for the rookie, who finished with his first 30-point game. Flagg was efficient offensively, shooting 13-of-19 from inside the arc, becoming the youngest player in league history to score at least 35 points in a game. A sixth-round player in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks, his season-long value has cracked the top-100. It will be fun to watch Flagg’s progression, as he has already made strides over the season’s first month. The Mavericks play four games in Week 7, starting with the Nuggets on Monday.
