Harden was magnificent as he took apart the Hornets offensively. The 36-year-old point guard made history with his 55-point effort, setting the Clippers’ franchise record. It was also Harden’s 25th 50-point game of his career, tying him with Kobe Bryant and trialing only Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan. Harden’s 28.4 points per game this year is his best since 2020, when he won the scoring title. Kawhi Leonard is due back from injury on Sunday, but don’t expect Harden to slow down.

Bogdanović has been on the injury report already this week with a hip injury. The 33-year-old shooting guard seems to be impacted by the injury over his last two games, playing just 21 and 26 minutes while failing to reach 10 points in either context. Normally, Bogdanović would be an interesting streamer with the Clippers shorthanded, but his level of play has suffered over the last two games likely because of his hip injury.

Paul is in his 21st season in the NBA. The 40-year-old point guard, who is back in his home state of North Carolina to take on the Hornets, posted on social media that he’s “grateful for this last one.” Paul seems to be implying this will be his last game against the Hornets in North Carolina. The 12-time All-Star and 11-time All-NBA point guard was the fourth overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Hornets. After Paul officially retires, the only question will be when, not if, he’s elected to the basketball hall of fame.

This wound up being a thrilling showdown between the next generation of up-and-coming stars for a pair of cellar-dwelling Western Conference squads with Flagg serving as the Mavericks’ primary offensive catalyst throughout the night. The 18-year-old prodigy showed zero signs of rust following a one-game absence due to illness earlier this week, knocking down 12 of 15 shots from inside three-point range, while routinely getting into the paint to take advantage of his size, athleticism and shot-creating ability. He was especially clutch in the late stages of this one, scoring 21 of his points in the second-half. He’s in the midst of an extremely strong stretch, averaging just under 22 points per-game over his last three contests, delivering fourth-round value for fantasy purposes during that span.

With less than one week until Thanksgiving, Washington set the table early with a stat sheet-stuffing performance for fantasy managers as he drained five three-pointers and gobbled up nine rebounds, falling just shy of his third double-double of the season. The 27-year-old sharpshooter did most of his damage in the early stages of this one as he notched 14 points in the first half, but he managed to come up with a clutch rebound in the final seconds to deny the Pelicans any opportunity to hoist a potential game-tying shot at the buzzer.

Christie knocked down five of nine shots, including three from downtown, as part of a 17-point second-half eruption to power Dallas to a comeback win. He drained a pair of free throws in the closing seconds to give the Mavericks a three-point advantage which they didn’t relinquish. The 22-year-old guard is averaging a career-high 5.8 three-point attempts through 17 games, shooting an absurdly high 46.9 percent so far. Zubac only contributed in the points and rebounds categories, but fantasy managers will undoubtedly take the production. He’s up to nine double-doubles on the season, with Thursday’s 19 boards being a season-high. Due to the Clippers’ many injuries, Zubac and James Harden have been the team’s only reliable options for fantasy managers. While Brandon Williams (9/2/4/1 with one three-pointer) continues to serve as the Mavericks’ starting point guard, there have been nights when Russell has been more useful to fantasy managers. Wednesday was one of those occasions, as the veteran guard was efficient as a scorer and distributor in the two-point defeat.
