Williams hadn’t played at least 30 minutes in a game all season until the last two games when he played 34 minutes both times. The 25-year-old point guard has stepped up with the Mavericks dealing with a litany of injuries. Williams has had at least six assists in both games so it seems like he could consistently provide assists if the playing time continues. The 31 points are more difficult to buy into given he hadn’t even scored 20 points in a game entering play Friday.

Marshall has now played at least 30 minutes in five straight games. The 27-year-old small forward is really coming on in the last two games as he’s had at least 20 points and at least 10 rebounds in both games. As long as PJ Washington is one of the many Mavericks sidelined, Marshall is certainly worth rostering.

That will have Gafford being evaluated around March 21, which will have him miss at least eight more games. Dallas reported that Gafford has progressed well, but his return to the court may be dependent on the team’s success. They currently hold a 2.5 game lead over Phoenix in the standings for the 10th spot in the West. Dwight Powell should continue to start at center until Gafford returns, though Anthony Davis and Dereck Lively II have been progressing as well and will be evaluated weekly.

Dallas put out a press release saying that AD is “improving daily” and has been “cleared for more dynamic on-court movements.” The release also said that Lively is “progressing in his rehabilitation.” Lively has progressed to “individual on-court work.” Basically, both bigs are progressing well, and the Mavs will check in on them every week, which is what we were already expecting. Their return will likely be dependent on the team’s success. They currently sit 2.5 games ahead of Phoenix in the standings, but they may struggle to maintain their spot in the standings with all the injuries they are dealing with. After attempting just four shots in Monday’s loss to the Kings, fantasy managers may not have felt good about Thompson, especially with Kyrie Irving (knee) done for the season. He got up 28 shots in Wednesday’s defeat, and the 28 points are the most Klay has scored in a game since December 15. Can Thompson create enough for himself to increase his fantasy value? We’re about to find out. The field goal percentage on Wednesday wasn’t great, but Klay getting up that many shots was encouraging to see.

Starting for the injured PJ Washington (ankle), Marshall was one of Dallas’ few bright spots on Wednesday. Over the last two games, he’s accounted for 40 points, 15 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two three-pointers. While ranked outside the top 100 since the All-Star break, Marshall (26 percent rostered, Yahoo!) is worth picking up, even after Washington returns. Kyrie Irving (knee) is out for the season, and there have been rumblings that Anthony Davis (groin) could be shut down.

Starting for the injured Dante Exum (foot), Christie struggled with his shot on Wednesday. However, his time as a Maverick has been productive. Dinwiddie started Wednesday’s game for the injured Kyrie Irving, who suffered a season-ending torn ACL on Monday. Since the All-Star break, the Bucks guard has averaged 9.1 points and 2.8 three-pointers per game. A double-digit scorer in seven of his ten games with the team, Porter appears to be a good fit with the Bucks. Wednesday’s triple-double was his third as a pro and first since the 2022-23 season. As was the case for Giannis Antetokounmpo, the undermanned Mavericks had no answer for Lillard. Since the break, he has provided second-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats, ranking within the top 20 of both. Lopez isn’t known as a strong rebounder, but he was able to make an impact on the glass against Atlanta. He set a new season-high for rebounds and recorded his second double-double of the season on Tuesday. Most of his value in recent years has come from three-pointers and blocks, and while he was able to provide one of each, it wasn’t his typical dose that managers have relied on. For the sixth time this season and 51st time in his career, Antetokounmpo recorded a triple-double. This was Antetokounmpo’s fifth-straight game with at least 20 points, which lines up with his minutes restriction being bumped up to 32 minutes. This looked like it was going to be a big night for Dame early on, but that didn’t end up being the case. Still, he did enough to help Milwaukee win for the seventh time in their last eight games.
