As for Watford, his absence frees up additional minutes for Noah Clowney and Jalen Wilson.

Harris’ rebound total was his second highest as he posted his fifth double-double of the campaign and first since January 4. It was a nice night for points and boards, but Harris shot a pedestrian 4-of-11 from the field and 0-of-2 from beyond the arc while failing to record a defensive stat. The Pistons face the Trail Blazers on Sunday for the second leg of a back-to-back set.

Russell combined for 19 points, eight assists and a rebound across his last two games, so Saturday’s performance was a nice bounce back effort. D’Lo’s playing time and production have been sporadic all season, and they’ll be especially unpredictable down the stretch of silly season for the “tanking” Nets.

One day removed from participating in a 5-on-5 session, Clowney has been cleared to return from the sprained left ankle that sidelined him for over a month. Even if he’s immediately placed in the starting lineup (Cameron Johnson is out Saturday), the second-year forward is unlikely to take on a full workload in his first game back. However, Clowney has the potential to provide value once any restrictions are removed.

Johnson’s 26 points in Thursday’s loss to the Warriors was the most he’s scored in over two months. Now the 29-year-old small forward finds himself ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Hornets with left knee soreness. Fantasy managers that roster Johnson would prefer he help the team make the play-in tournament. An injury like this could portend a late-season shutdown.

This was an ideal game for Brooklyn. A competitive loss is what every tanking team craves. It was also an encouraging performance for Johnson, who had his highest-scoring game in over two months. Though Brooklyn isn’t that far out of the Play-In Tournament, it would be surprising if they truly made a push to make it. Johnson was in and out of the lineup over the final few weeks of last season, and managers should expect that to happen again this year. Luckily, it didn’t start until late March last season, so there should be more time before that is a risk.

Brooklyn jumped out to a 25-5 lead on Thursday, but it wasn’t enough for them to get the win over Golden State. Martin was a big part of their early success as he scored 13 of his 17 points in the first half. Martin hasn’t been much of a factor in fantasy basketball this season outside of a few big scoring nights. However, he has played a consistent role for the Nets lately, and he may see his minutes increase as the season winds down. Martin is a player to keep an eye on as “silly season” approaches.

Who anticipated this? Claxton, whose previous career-high for assists was six, dished out 10 dimes and nearly recorded a triple-double in Thursday’s loss. Claxton has been a strong category league player over the last few seasons because of his contributions in rebounds, blocks and field goal percentage, and managers shouldn’t expect Claxton to continue to be a reliable source of assists. Still, it was a fun boost on Thursday and encouraging for his overall value, especially if Jordi Fernandez does continue to use him as a playmaking option.

Clowney has been sidelined since January, but he is progressing closer to returning to the lineup. He was a consistent presence in the starting unit in January and could return to that role shortly after he returns to the rotation. Brooklyn will want to get him as many development minutes as possible, though they will also want to make sure he doesn’t re-injure his ankle after a lengthy absence. His return will cut into the minutes of Nic Claxton and Day’Ron Sharpe.

Schroder had at least 20 points for the first time since joining the Pistons at the trade deadline. The 31-year-old point guard played 28 minutes, his first time playing at least 25 minutes for Detroit. Cunningham scored just 11 and 15 points last Friday and Saturday, but has since bounced back with 29 and 37 points in his last two games now. The 23-year-old point guard is a do-everything superstar for the Pistons. However, his 3-point shooting leaves much to be desired. With Cam Thomas back in the lineup, Johnson’s shot attempts took a hit Tuesday night. The 10 attempts are the fewest he’s had in a game since February 10, but the good news for fantasy managers is that Johnson snapped out of his three-point funk. After shooting 0-of-10 from beyond the arc in Saturday’s loss to the Pistons, he made three of his six attempts in San Antonio. While Johnson has played in every game since missing six with a sprained ankle in early February, there’s always the possibility of the Nets pulling the plug to improve their draft lottery odds.

Like D’Angelo Russell, availability has been an issue for Thomas. He’s only appeared in two games since injuring his hamstring on January 2, limiting his fantasy upside. And with the Nets playing two back-to-backs during Week 19, Thomas may be looking at a three-game week at best. Keon Johnson (8/7/1/1 with one three-pointer) only played 18 minutes off the bench, but he may be worth holding onto in deep leagues as a safety net in case Thomas misses more time.

Tuesday’s game was the second for Russell since the All-Star break, and availability will be a concern for the rest of the season. And with the Nets only two games behind 10th-place Chicago in the loss column, a little more “effort” may be required from the front office to improve the team’s lottery odds. That would be bad news for managers looking to Russell for production during the fantasy playoffs. The Nets only play two more games during Week 18, but they have two back-to-back during a five-game Week 19.

Thompson was one of two Pistons starters to not miss a shot from the field on Monday, with Jalen Duren being the other. A double-digit scorer in three straight and five of his last six appearances, Ausar’s 17 points are the most he’s had in a game since February 12. While his season-long fantasy value remains outside the top 100 in eight- and nine-cat formats, Thompson has been a top 50 player since the All-Star break. He should be rostered in more than 66 percent of Yahoo! leagues, as he was after play on Monday.

Despite not having backup center Isaiah Stewart for Monday’s game, the Pistons didn’t skip a beat, and Duren was one reason for that. Recording his fourth double-double in five games, he was also responsible for two steals and four blocked shots. Since the All-Star break, Duren has provided top-20 value in eight- and nine-cat formats, sitting just outside the first round in 12-team leagues in the latter. This is the player many fantasy managers hoped Duren would be before this season began, and he’s bounced back from a slow start.

Rostered in 43 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Beasley has provided top-100 value in nine-cat formats since the All-Star break. While Cunningham shot 50 percent from the field on Monday, he missed seven of his eight three-point attempts. Inside the arc, the Pistons’ All-Star point guard was elite. Cunningham didn’t score as much as he’s capable of Saturday night, but the Pistons’ offensive balance had much to do with that. Jalen Duren, Tobias Harris and Malik Beasley scored 18 points apiece for the Pistons, who notched their 34th win of the season. Not only are those the most wins Detroit’s amassed in a season since 2018-19 (41 wins), but this is also the first time since that year they’ve won at least 25 games. Duren was fantastic on Saturday, recording his fifth double-double in seven games and a career-high six blocked shots. How out of the ordinary were the six rejections? Duren amassed a total of six in his previous 10 appearances. Over the past two weeks, he has been a third-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats. Of course, Isaiah Stewart (three points, four rebounds, one assist and four blocks in 14 minutes) getting into foul trouble led to Duren playing 30 minutes (or more) for just the fifth time since the beginning of February. On the final day of his 10-day contract, Hayes returned to the city where his NBA career began. The former lottery pick struggled against the team that drafted him, shooting 1-of-6 from the field while providing modest production in the rebound and assist categories. The Nets will have a decision to make regarding Killian. The health of D’Angelo Russell will likely influence the Nets’ decision regarding Hayes. As has been the case since he cracked the Nets’ rotation, Johnson had another game in which he shot poorly but provided value in other areas. On a night when Cameron Johnson, Keon Johnson and Ziaire Williams combined to shoot 11-of-49 from the field, Martin was among the few bright spots for the Nets.
