Williams, who logged 27 minutes in Friday’s win over the Pelicans, will play both games of a back-to-back for the first time this season. Since his minutes will be restricted, Williams will come off the bench with Oso Ighodaro receiving the start. Collin Gillespie, Devin Booker, Dillon Brooks and Royce O’Neale complete the starting five.

Booker has cleared the lofty 30-point barrier twice in his last games after going nearly a month without doing so. The 29-year-old scoring machine served as Phoenix’s primary offensive catalyst in this one, knocking down 9-of-13 shots from inside the arc and getting to the line for a double-digit free-throw attempts. He’s delivered second-round fantasy value over the past week, averaging a sublime 29.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 2.3 steals and 0.7 blocks across three games during that span. These two teams will meet again on Saturday evening for the tail-end of a back-to-back.

Williams did some serious damage on the interior, connecting on 8-of-12 shots in the paint, breaking the 20-point barrier for the sixth time this season. It was his first double-double since November 28. The 24-year-old big man is averaging a robust 13.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.9 blocks through 26 games this season.

Thursday’s performance was a reminder that Melton does not need to be a starter to provide tangible fantasy value. He played 24 minutes off the bench against the Mavericks, recording a complete stat line. Melton’s field-goal percentage wasn’t the best, but his getting up a season-high 14 shots was encouraging. Hopefully, he can build on this effort, as the Warriors guard averaged 3.4 points on 14.3 percent shooting in the five games prior.

Thursday’s game was the first for Horford since December 4, and the veteran center did not wait to make a positive impression. He hit his first four three-point attempts, scoring 12 points in the first quarter. Horford did not provide much beyond the game’s first 12 minutes, logging only 11 minutes on the day. For that reason, there’s no need to add him, especially with a Sunday/Monday back-to-back on the horizon.

Butler’s all-around game was on display Thursday afternoon, with the veteran forward finishing one rebound and one assist shy of a triple-double. For the season, he has been a third-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats. However, while Butler’s current production has worked well for fantasy managers, the Warriors probably need him to be a bit more assertive as a scorer to reach their ceiling.

Curry has traditionally struggled on Christmas Day, and he had a rough evening shooting the basketball. However, the Warriors guard still led the team in scoring, with a perfect night at the foul line boosting the final point total. Curry is providing first-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats, which is slightly better than his Yahoo! ADP (14) in 12-team leagues. The Warriors hit the road for a Sunday/Monday back-to-back against the Raptors and Nets.

Williams finished Tuesday’s rout one rebound shy of his eighth double-double of the season and first since November 28. The 7-footer is providing fifth-round value in eight-cat formats over the past month, shooting 72.6 percent from the field and 76.3 percent from the foul line. Gillespie continues to shine as the Suns’ starting point guard. He’s scored 16 points in three straight games, while Tuesday’s assist tally was the highest for the guard since November 26 against the Kings. Still rostered in 30 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Gillespie has been a top-50 player in eight-cat formats over the past month. Booker finished Tuesday’s blowout victory with his fifth double-double of the season, with four being of the points/assists variety. The Suns took care of business with a balanced scoring effort, taking some of the pressure off of Booker. Green only played 18 minutes on Monday, and with good reason. Podziemski has scored in double figures in four straight games, his most consistent run of the season. He finished Monday’s victory with a complete stat line, and he has been close to a top-100 player in eight-cat formats over the last week. After totaling eight points on 3-of-14 shooting in his two previous games, Moody enjoyed one of his best nights of the season on Monday. This was his first game with at least 20 points in over a month and fifth of the season. While his fantasy value remains relatively low, with Moody sitting outside the top-150 in eight-cat formats, he’s done enough to earn consistent playing time. That keeps him on the radar in some deep leagues, especially when he’s playing starters’ minutes.

Butler got off to a good start on Monday, scoring 16 first-half points. With Stephen Curry shooting 3-of-13 from the field, the veteran forward stepped up at a good time. With Curry getting hot in the third quarter, Butler took a back seat, so the final stat line was a bit underwhelming when considering what could have been. While he is providing third-round value in eight-cat formats this season, Butler’s production has felt underwhelming at times. He’ll look to put together four elite quarters on Thursday when the Warriors face the Mavericks.

Curry started slowly on Monday, shooting 3-of-13 from the field in the first half. Unsurprisingly, the Magic were unable to keep the Warriors guard under wraps for all four quarters. Gillespie didn’t have a good night shooting the basketball, but he doesn’t need to explode offensively to offer solid value. The rebounds, assists and steals were certainly valuable to category league managers. His seventh-round value in eight-cat formats over the last two weeks aligns with his season-long production. After a hot start to the season, Booker’s fantasy value has slipped outside the top-100 in eight- and nine-cat formats. However, it isn’t as if his production has fallen off the proverbial cliff, either. Saturday was a good night for the rugged wing, as he shot efficiently and provided solid value in rebounds and three-pointers. That said, Brooks not recording any defensive stats was a surprise. After scoring 27 and 25 points in his two prior appearances, Booker dropped his first 30-point game in over a month on Saturday. The 38 matched his season-high, and the Suns guard finished with good percentages and a complete stat line. Since returning from the groin strain that sidelined him for three games, Booker has provided fourth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. On a night when Draymond Green only played eight minutes due to his ejection, Richard stepped up and gave the Warriors valuable contributions off the bench. The rookie’s 20 points were the most in a game for him since November 5, when he dropped a season-high 30. Add in the rebounds, three-pointers and percentages, and this was an excellent showing from Richard. That said, he isn’t someone who should be in fantasy managers’ plans unless the Warriors’ rotation is decimated by injuries.

Scoring-wise, Butler has kicked things up a notch, totaling 56 points in his last two games. Unfortunately for category league managers, his production in other categories has slipped.
