Nurkić flirted with a double-double for the second straight game against the Rockets. On the second night of a back-to-back, he was productive inside the arc as a scorer and set a new season-high in points before fouling out of the contest. Nurkic has filled in the starting unit nicely in place of the injured Walker Kessler (shoulder). He’s got double-double potential on a nightly basis in this new role.

After finishing with zero points on Sunday against the Rockets, George responded on the second night of a back-to-back by nearly putting 30 points on those same Rockets a day later. He shot well from the floor overall and also got back on track as a facilitator after a quiet previous game in that area. Six turnovers were arguably the only standout weakness of George’s on Monday’s outing. Otherwise, he put together a nice bounce-back game.

On the second night of a back-to-back, Markannen led the Jazz in points in the rematch with the Rockets. His scoring production was particularly notable on a night when the Jazz had seven players score in double figures, including all five starters. He was also effective on the glass, but ultimately came up two boards shy of a double-double. A quarter of the way into the season, Markkanen is averaging more points per game than he has in any other season — he’s been consistent on that end of the floor so far, which should remain the case moving forward.

Jackson-Davis was a late scratch for Saturday’s win over the Pelicans, with the Warriors ruling him out not long before the scheduled tip time. If he can play on Tuesday, there may be a few minutes available, as Al Horford (sciatica) is doubtful. However, that isn’t enough to make Jackson-Davis a player worth rostering.

Butler fell hard on his left side during Saturday’s win over the Pelicans, resulting in a glute contusion that could keep him out of Tuesday’s game. With Stephen Curry (quad) already out, losing Butler would put the Warriors in a tough spot offensively. Brandin Podziemski and Moses Moody, who are already starting, would become more valuable to fantasy managers. Also, Butler not playing could push Jonathan Kuminga back into the starting lineup.

George missed all six of his shot attempts and only ended up playing 19 minutes. He entered the game as questionable with an illness but played through it, making it easy to attribute his worst performance of the season to the fact that he was under the weather. Utah hosts the Rockets again on Monday, and it wouldn’t be shocking if George sat out if he was still battling this illness. If he does play, hopefully he’ll be feeling good enough to have a better outing.

Bailey was the leading scorer for Utah and was one of six players to score in double figures for them. That may seem like it was a balanced attack, but nearly a third of the team’s points came in the fourth quarter, after the game was out of reach. Filipowski logged 31 minutes off the bench, which can be attributed to the lopsided score. That was a new season high for minutes, so while he was semi-productive during his time on the floor, he won’t see this many minutes often. After missing seven games with bilateral patellar tendinitis, Kuminga was brought off the bench on Saturday. He had a solid night shooting the basketball, but this may be a spot where his fantasy value is limited. After a rough first half in which he missed all four of his shot attempts, there wasn’t anywhere for Podziemski to go but up. That’s precisely what happened, as he shot 5-of-8 from the field and scored 15 points in the second half. Add in the rebounds, assists and three-pointers, and this was a good night for the Warriors guard. With Stephen Curry (quad) out for a few more games, Podziemski boasts a higher fantasy ceiling, especially as a starter. The Warriors play four games in Week 7, making “AirPodz” worth the risk in some 12-team leagues.

While it was known that others would have to step up with Stephen Curry unavailable, few would have expected Payton to be among them. GPII had his best game of the season against the Pelicans, hitting double figures in points and rebounds for the first time. Add in the three assists, and this was an excellent night for Payton, even with him failing to record any defensive stats. With Stephen Curry (quad) out, the Warriors needed more from Butler, and he rose to the challenge. The veteran forward finished two rebounds shy of a triple-double, recording his line with solid percentages from the field and the foul line. The lone concern regarding Butler’s Saturday night is the hard fall he took during the second quarter. Undercut by Pelicans wing Micah Peavy, Butler landed directly on his left hip. Green was one of Golden State’s most impactful players on Wednesday. He was one of six Warriors to score in double figures, using efficient three-point shooting to help reach that mark. Curry had only tallied 12 points through the first three quarters of Wednesday’s game and had committed four turnovers in that span. He didn’t get much going after entering near the seven-minute mark of the fourth quarter — he totaled just two more points and a pair of turnovers the rest of the way before exiting late in the quarter with a quad injury and not returning.
