Christie led three Mavericks starters in double figures, and he’s scored at least ten points in five consecutive games. The issue for him recently, even with the double-digit points streak, has been that Christie has made just 38.4 percent of his shots from the field over the past two weeks. Given the limited assists and defensive stats, Christie has limited upside in category leagues.

For the few who had Bagley rostered, his Mavericks debut went about as well as one could hope. Despite coming off the bench, he played 24 minutes, six more than starter Daniel Gafford (nine points, four rebounds and two assists), who was in foul trouble for most of the night. Even if the minutes were reversed, Bagley offers solid fantasy upside in Dallas. Deep-league managers should consider picking him up, with Dallas playing four games in Week 17.

Making his first appearance since being traded to Dallas, Jones played 17 minutes on Saturday. While the assist production was excellent, he’s in a challenging spot as far as fantasy relevance is concerned. The basketball will be in Cooper Flagg’s (14/4/4 with two three-pointers) hands a lot as he continues to develop as a pro. So even if Jones were to move into the starting lineup at some point, he would not be worth the risk unless there’s a dire need for assists.

Thompson turned back the clock during the second quarter of Saturday’s game, scoring 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the field. The Spurs did a better job of defending Thompson during the second half, but the final stat line was solid. Unfortunately for the few who hold out hope that Klay can achieve fantasy relevance, he wasn’t moved at the trade deadline. Getting to a team with postseason ambitions may have given him a better shot at providing value later in the season.

Eason is still managing a leg injury that caused him to sit out the second game of a back-to-back against the Hornets on Thursday. The 24-year-old small forward led the Rockets in scoring Saturday, though he was hardly efficient with 26 points on 22 attempts. Since scoring 24 points in a January 24 loss to the Lakers, Christie scored 13 points or less in four consecutive games. The Mavericks’ guard was better against the Spurs, but a 2-of-8 night from beyond the arc kept the points tally at 20. Even with the addition of Khris Middleton, those who have Christie rostered should not panic. Marshall has not been a player that fantasy managers look to for three-point production, as he entered Thursday with ten games of at least two triples. That changed on Thursday, as the Mavericks’ wing hit four, matching his career-high. Add in the points, rebounds and assists, and this was a good night to have Marshall rostered. Of course, category league managers will want some defensive production out of Naji. Still, he’s one of the few reliable fantasy options on the Mavericks’ roster beyond Cooper Flagg at this point.

Gafford’s double-double was his fourth of the season, but the playing time may be the most notable aspect of his night in Houston. The 28 minutes were the most in a game for the Mavericks’ center since November 24, exceeded only by Gafford playing 31 minutes in a November 16 win over the Trail Blazers.
