Landale finished with six points and three rebounds in 21 minutes while making a spot start for Alperen Sengun Monday against the Thunder. The 29-year-old center is questionable for Tuesday’s game, but with Sengun off the injury report Landale has no fantasy value regardless of his availability.

VanVleet returned from a right ankle strain that kept him out since February 1 on Saturday only to re-aggravate the injury in the loss to the Kings. Sengun missed Monday’s game against the Thunder with Jock Landale filling in at the center position. The 22-year-old center must be feeling better as he’s off the injury report Tuesday and should be back in the starting lineup against the Pacers.

Kuzma was initially listed as doubtful for Tuesday’s game with an ankle injury, but has since been upgraded to questionable. While there’s still a real chance he’s out Tuesday, the 29-year-old power forward is at least trending in the right direction. AJ Green, Taurean Prince and Gary Trent Jr. would pick up the vacated minutes if Kuzma is out against the Hawks.

With Alperen Sengun sidelined for Monday’s game, Landale moved into the starting lineup. To say he provided limited value would be accurate, with N’Faly Dante being more impactful despite coming off the bench. Making his NBA debut, the rookie out of Oregon finished with 10 points, nine rebounds, one assist and two blocked shots in 18 minutes. Neither Dante nor Landale will be worth holding onto for Tuesday’s game against the Pacers, as Sengun should be available.

After Fred VanVleet’s return from a strained ankle pushed Smith to the bench on Saturday, he was back in the starting lineup Monday night. Smith didn’t have a great night against the Thunder, shooting 5-of-14 from the field, but his rebounding production was solid. This lineup change may hold for the foreseeable future, as VanVleet aggravated his ankle injury on Saturday. If so, that will allow Smith to provide increased value in the short term.

Whitmore was excellent on Monday, matching his career-high with 27 points and recording his second double-double of the season. The Rockets were down four starters on Monday, so ample rotation minutes (and a place in the starting lineup) were available to Whitmore. Give him credit for taking advantage of the opportunity. Whitmore’s fantasy value moving forward will be impacted by the availability of Tari Eason and Amen Thompson, who both sat out Monday’s game.

Sheppard was tabbed to make his first start on Monday with the Rockets down four starters. The matchup wasn’t easy, but the rookie had a good night in Oklahoma City. Not only were the 25 points a season-high, but this was also Sheppard’s first 20-point game. Add in the complete stat line, and this was a profitable night for the few who willingly streamed Sheppard. The Rockets visit the Pacers on Tuesday, and some absent starters should be back on the court. If so, there won’t be much need to hold onto Sheppard.

The Rockets are without Fred VanVleet, Dillon Brooks, Alperen Sengun, Amen Thompson and Tari Eason for Monday’s game. Sheppard, Whitmore, Smith and Landale move into the starting lineup, with Smith having a chance to stick once Brooks, Sengun, Thompson and Eason return. Monday’s game is the first of two in as many nights for the Rockets, who visit the Pacers on Tuesday. For that reason, Eason’s absence is unsurprising. Trent hasn’t been consistently productive since the Bucks lost Bobby Portis to a 25-game suspension, but he does have added importance. Saturday night, he recorded his first 20-point game since February 12 (21 vs. Minnesota), the Bucks’ final game before the All-Star break. Rostered in 10 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Trent hasn’t been a top 200 player in eight- or nine-cat formats. However, with the Bucks playing two back-to-backs during Week 18, he may be worth the streaming risk in extremely deep leagues.

Lillard has only been a fourth-round player in nine-cat formats since the All-Star break, and field goal percentage has been a factor. He’s shooting just 40.3 percent from the field, four-plus points lower than his mark for the season (44.7). Lillard has been hit-or-miss since the break, alternating solid (or better) shooting nights with clunkers against the Clippers (February 20) and Rockets (February 25). However, the upcoming schedule may be more concerning for fantasy managers, as Milwaukee’s Week 18 consists of two back-to-backs.

Antetokounmpo was again limited to 32 minutes, but that was all he needed to have a devastating effect on both ends of the floor. The Bucks’ superstar forward recorded excellent percentages and finished one rebound and one assist from a triple-double. Since the All-Star break, Giannis has provided top-30 value in eight-cat formats, two rounds better than his production for the season. Of course, it helps when a 58.9 percent foul shooter makes 69.4 percent of his attempts, as Antetokounmpo has since the break.

Green had an excellent run in the second half of last season, and he has started up another one since the All-Star break. Green has scored at least 20 points in Houston’s five games since the break and has averaged 4.6 three-pointer per game during that stretch. Most of Green’s value in nine-cat leagues has come from points and triples, but he has been able to provide a little bit in other categories. Houston starts next week against the Thunder on Monday. Green has averaged 10.5 points per game in their two matchups this season.

After playing just 19 minutes in a win over the Spurs on Wednesday, Sengun made up for his lack of scoring by dominating down low. Domantas Sabonis’ early exit with a hamstring injury provided Sengun with an easier matchup, and he was able to have his first 30-point game in nearly a month. He set a new season-high for free throw attempts, but as a poor free throw shooter, that wasn’t a positive for fantasy managers, as he had a rough night at the line. Still, it was a big scoring night for Sengun.

After missing a month of games with an ankle injury, VanVleet was back in the lineup against Sacramento. Despite not being on a minutes restriction, VanVleet wasn’t able to provide many points. The rebound, assist and steal numbers were solid, but VanVleet only made one shot in his first game since February 1. VanVleet had been struggling prior to his absence, but he should get back to providing fifth round value in nine-cat leagues, as he has all season. VanVleet noted after the game that he stepped on the foot of an official on the first play of the game, re-injuring his ankle. He played through it for the rest of the game, but it may have limited his production. It’s unclear if he’ll suit up for Houston’s back-to-back on Monday and Tuesday.

Lopez finished behind only Giannis Antetokounmpo for the team lead in scoring and field-goal attempts. He made only seven of his 16 shots, but he got to the line with ease and cashed seven of eight from the charity stripe. Antetokounmpo logged 32 minutes for the third-straight game, and this was easily his best performance since returning from the All-Star break. After shooting 1-of-6 from three in a February 22 loss to the Jazz, Brooks was 9-of-16 in wins over the Bucks and Spurs. The inconsistent offensive production is why he’s rostered in just 22 percent of Yahoo! leagues. Regarding fantasy value, the output over the past month (15th-round in eight-cat) has aligned with his season-long production. Green added another 20-point game to his tally, extending his run to 11 such stat lines in his last 14 outings. Fantasy managers will also benefit from the rebound and assist totals in Wednesday’s victory, but the continued lack of defensive production limits Green’s ceiling in category leagues. Over the past month, he has provided 11th-round value in eight-cat formats. After providing modest fantasy value before being ejected from Tuesday’s win over the Bucks, Thompson redeemed himself on Wednesday. The Rockets guard shot 80 percent from the field against the Spurs and provided solid value in the rebounds, assists and steals categories. Over the past month, Thompson has provided top 25 value in eight- and nine-cat formats.
