While Tuesday’s game is not part of a back-to-back, the Rockets are taking a cautious approach to Finney-Smith’s return from offseason ankle surgery. Also, they host the Thunder on Thursday, which will be a far more critical matchup to have the veteran forward available for. Reed Sheppard should play more after logging 15 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Kings.

Eason will miss a second consecutive game with a sprained right ankle, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Aaron Holiday received the nod in Sunday’s loss to the Kings, shooting 1-of-7 from the field and finishing with three points, one rebound, four assists, one steal and one three-pointer. While the opportunity would make Holiday someone worth considering as a streamer, he is not a must-add.

Durant’s streak of 30-point games ended at two on Sunday, and he needed to knock down three shots during the fourth quarter to extend his streak of 20-point games. Give credit to the Kings for their work defensively, but this was an underwhelming performance for fantasy managers hoping to get a big night out of Durant. Houston opens a four-game Week 13 on Tuesday against the Bulls in what should be a high-possession game.

This has been a challenging time for Şengün’s managers, as injuries have sidelined him for five of the Rockets’ previous seven games entering Sunday. (And he played only one minute in a January 3 loss to Dallas.) While the center did not shoot the ball well in Sacramento, playing 35 minutes in his first game back was encouraging. The Rockets play four games in Week 13, but a midweek back-to-back could limit Şengün to three appearances, depending on how the training staff handles his playing time.

While it wasn’t enough to deliver the Rockets a win, Thompson’s final line was one of his best this season. In addition to matching his season-high in points, the third-year wing recorded his eighth double-double of the season. The lack of defensive stats and five turnovers were disappointing, but Thompson has scored at least 20 points in three straight and six of his last seven appearances. The Rockets will play all four of their Week 13 games at home, starting with the Bulls on Tuesday.

Gillespie had a tough night shooting the basketball, as he was 0-of-6 from beyond the arc. The good news is that he still offered solid value in the rebound, assist and steal categories, so all wasn’t lost for those who still have him rostered. Jalen Green is closing in on a return from his second strained hamstring of the season, so Week 13 may be a good time to consider some alternatives for Gillespie.

Booker and the Suns had little trouble taking care of the Wizards, so he only played 26 minutes. Fantasy managers will be pleased with the assists, but the game being a blowout lowered Booker’s ceiling as a scorer. That shouldn’t be an issue during Phoenix’s three Week 13 games, which are all on the road: Miami, Detroit and New York.

The Suns were in control throughout Sunday’s game, with O’Neale’s season-high points tally leading the way. Thompson is averaging 18.2 points per game this year, but has at least 20 points in five of his last six games. The 22-year-old point guard had a good game, his second night in a row with 24 points. Still, it wasn’t enough to prevent the Rockets from blowing a big lead in the fourth quarter with Kevin Durant on the bench. Thompson has provided third-round per game value over the last two weeks. One reason to consider streaming O’Neale while the Suns are without Jalen Green is the three-point production, and he came through on Friday. The veteran forward hit four of his six attempts against the Knicks while also offering solid value in the rebound category. The lingering questions are: how much longer will Green, who began his ramp-up process, be sidelined by his hamstring injury? And, will the Suns continue to bring Grayson Allen (10/3/1/1 in 26 minutes) off the bench? The answers will have a direct impact on O’Neale’s fantasy value.

Brooks didn’t record any defensive statistics on Friday, but he had another good night on the offensive end of the floor. He’s scored at least 20 points in 18 games this season, six more than his tally with the Rockets in 2024-25. Brooks’ overall game isn’t exactly fantasy-friendly, but he’s hovering just outside the top-100 in eight-cat formats this season. The move to Phoenix has done wonders for the wing, who’s enjoying a level of offensive freedom that he didn’t have in either Memphis or Houston.

Friday’s performance was rather routine for Booker, who has scored at least 30 points in three of his last six outings. Add in the assists and three-pointers, and category-league managers should be relatively pleased with the output. That said, many hoped that Booker would be able to offer first-round fantasy value this season, and it hasn’t happened. The defensive production is limited, and the emergence of Dillon Brooks (scoring) and Collin Gillespie (assists) has also factored into Booker’s reduced fantasy value. That said, there’s no need to panic unless you reached early to draft him.

Eason got up a lot of shots on Wednesday, but not a lot of them fell. His biggest near-make came in the closing moments of the game as he almost successfully tapped in a missed Kevin Durant jump shot at the buzzer to give the Rockets the win. Instead, the ball was still in his hand as the horn sounded, and the shot was waived off. Eason still had good fantasy production on the evening, thanks to his team-high and season-high in rebounds. Thompson was one of the Rockets’ most productive offensive performers on Wednesday. On efficient 50-percent shooting, the former fourth-overall pick notched his 14th 20-point game of the season, and fourth in the past five games. He made his usual contributions as a passer, but also hit the glass hard to finish as one of three Houston starters to collect double-digit rebounds. Thompson’s work on the defense end also added to his overall production on the night, leading to a nice night as far as fantasy basketball goes.

On the heels of a game-winning shot against his former employer, the Suns, Durant delivered a fantastic scoring performance on Wednesday in the one-point loss. Surprisingly, Thompson has only recorded six double-doubles this season, with Saturday’s being his first since December 15.
