The Cavaliers got off to an ice-cold start on the second night of a back-to-back, scoring a season-low 36 points in the first half. Mitchell came alive after the break, burying seven three-pointers and dropping 21 points in the second half as Cleveland roared back to make this one close. He had an opportunity to knock down a game-tying three-pointer in the final seconds but came up empty. The 29-year-old scoring machine is averaging 30.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.3 blocks over 23 games this season. The Cavaliers are off until Friday when they face the floundering Wizards before closing out a two-game week with a home matchup against the Hornets.

Ball had two points, six rebounds and five assists in 22 minutes off the bench against the Spurs on Friday. The 28-year-old point guard will sit out the second game of a back-to-back against the Warriors for injury management reasons. Siakam remains the top option on the Pacers as they navigate this season without Tyrese Haliburton. The 31-year-old power forward has expanded his game to include three-point shooting and knocked down five threes against the Bulls on Friday. The Pacers are off for the rest of the weekend and have three games on the schedule in Week 8.

Nae’Qwan Tomlin started this game with Darius Garland (toe) sidelined, and while he was able to contribute 13 points in 18 minutes, he wasn’t as effective as Wade. Though he typically hasn’t been a productive player in fantasy basketball, he was able to start the second half and turn in a strong stat line during his 29 minutes on the floor. Wade isn’t worth rostering, but he played well in this game.

Mitchell is enjoying the best offensive season of his career, which has gone under the radar due to the Cavaliers’ struggles. He’s averaging a career-best 30.6 points per game while also shooting over 50 percent from the floor for the first time in his career. “Only” scoring 28 points in this game actually dropped his average slightly. He’ll keep pouring in the points to help the Cavs stay afloat until they get healthy.

Tyson has been incredible as a starter during his second season in the NBA. He has been able to start more than expected due to various injuries, and he has taken advantage of the opportunity. In 14 starts this year, he is averaging 15.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.6 three-pointers per game. As long as he is starting, he should be considered a must-roster player in every format.

Mobley popped up as questionable with an illness Friday afternoon ahead of the Cavaliers’ matchup against the Spurs. The 24-year-old center’s status for the game is certainly up in the air. Siakam remains a solid scorer as he’s averaging 24.1 points per game this year, though his overall fantasy value hasn’t lived up to preseason expectations. The 31-year-old power forward was drafted in the third-round, but is providing seventh-round value so far this year. Siakam also comes with the risk of being shut down on a struggling Pacers team that’s going through a rebuilding year.

Tyson’s final stat line wasn’t eye-popping, but he continues to hold down a place in the starting lineup. With Jarrett Allen (finger) out for at least another week, the second-year wing should be considered in a broader range of fantasy leagues. With Jarrett Allen (finger) sidelined, there’s more room for Mobley to operate on both ends of the floor. Despite the outcome of Wednesday’s game, Mobley recorded the kind of stat line that fantasy managers hope to see consistently. Mitchell has scored at least 30 points in 13 games this season, including three of his last four. The Cavaliers guard once again did most of the heavy lifting offensively, as Darius Garland (6/3/4/0/1 with one three-pointer) shot 2-of-13 from the field. Mitchell had a tough night from deep, shooting 3-of-13 on three-pointers, but the two-point production salvaged the overall field-goal percentage. Cleveland hosts San Antonio on Friday.

Nembhard surpassed the 20-point mark for the first time in five games on Monday. In fact, after scoring 32 points in the Pacers’ November 21 loss to Cleveland, he shot 11-of-34 from the field in the following three games. Before the season, Nembhard was a player whom many fantasy managers believed could safely provide top-100 value. With the Cavaliers regaining control of Monday’s game early in the fourth quarter, Siakam lost out on a few minutes due to Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle pulling the plug. Given how many games the Pacers have lost, this has to be a frustrating season for Siakam and, by extension, those who have him on their fantasy rosters. Having entered the season with a third-round Yahoo! ADP, he’s ranked outside the top-75 in eight- and nine-cat formats. And with Indiana being 4-17, buying low comes with the risk of “Spicy P” being shut down later in the season, as the Pacers regained control of their 2026 first-round pick via a June trade with the Pelicans.

After a stellar individual performance in Sunday’s loss to the Celtics, Mobley’s production on Monday was modest by comparison. However, he recorded multiple blocked shots in a game for the 10th time this season, nearly a third of the way to his total for the 2024-25 season (34). After scoring 17 points on 6-of-18 shooting in Sunday’s loss to the Celtics, Tyson was far better against the Pacers. The 27 points were the second-most for him in an NBA game, trailing only Tyson’s 31-point effort against the Pacers in the 2024-25 regular season finale. With Tyson starting 12 of the 17 games he’s appeared in, it’s clear that he’s considered to be a player who can provide consistent value within the Cavaliers’ rotation. Providing fifth-round value in nine-cat formats, Tyson is rightfully being rostered in some 14-team leagues.

With Darius Garland unavailable, Mitchell took on more of the playmaking responsibilities on Monday. That did not keep him from seeking his own shot, as the Cavaliers star put up 27 and finished with his first 40-point game of the season. Mitchell and Jaylon Tyson combined to score 70 of Cleveland’s 135 points, more than compensating for the absences of Garland and Jarrett Allen. Mobley has routinely punished Boston’s undersized frontcourt in recent years, and that pattern held firm as he got whatever he wanted inside with Neemias Queta sidelined — while also knocking down three of six attempts from beyond the arc. The 24-year-old center had a chance to come through in the final seconds but his fadeaway jumper came up short and Cleveland fell just two points shy of pulling off an incredible comeback. Jackson was bumped to the bench for Friday’s game, and he wasn’t effective in that role. However, he was able to make a large impact in this one. Both Pacers bigs had success, as Jay Huff, who started at center, contributed 14 points, four blocks and four triples. He followed that up with 14 and 15 points on sub-40 percent shooting over Indiana’s previous two games before getting back on track in this one. After scoring a season-low 11 points on Wednesday, Siakam got back on track in this one to help lead Indiana to a lopsided victory. He has scored at least 20 points in six of his last seven games, and he continues to shoot the ball efficiently. Through their first nine games, he shot at least 50 percent from the floor just once; over their last nine games, he has shot below 50 percent just twice. Against the Pistons and Raptors, he totaled 29 points on 8-of-28 shooting from the field. While most players would be able to point to three-point shooting as the reason for their woes, that has not been the case for Mathurin, who has gone 3-of-15 (20 percent) from two over this two-game stretch. Nembhard struggled with his shot on Monday, but volumed his way into double figures as a scorer. He also was the Pacers’ best facilitator on the night and was very disruptive on the defensive end, tallying as many assists against the Pistons as he had combined up until Monday’s game. The Pacers fell to 2-15 on the season, but Siakam delivered another strong performance. He went over 20 points for the fifth straight game and logged his first multiple-blocks, multiple-steals game of the season, while leading all Pacers in rebounds along the way. Siakam continues to be one of the lone bright spots for Indiana amidst a rough start to their season. He also remains one of the more productive forwards across fantasy leagues. Even with the Pacers’ poor record, there’s no reason for fantasy managers to believe a dropoff in production for Siakam is near.
