In his first game back from a back injury, Butler logged 31 minutes in the blowout loss and finished as one of the Warriors’ top scorers. He was efficient from the field and landed his usual production from the free-throw line. Yet, the veteran forward made little impact elsewhere as far as the stat sheet is concerned. The good news, however, is that Butler appears to have made it out of Friday’s contest without a new or reaggravated injury.

Green logged 26 minutes in Friday’s lopsided loss, with his contributions from beyond the arc serving as one of the bright spots for Golden State. He set season-highs in points and three-pointers in his return from a rib injury and continues to shoot the three at a career-best rate to begin the season. He’ll look to remain productive on Sunday against the Pacers.

Post came off the bench for the fifth time this season. In his reserve role on Friday, he went without a miss on his six field-goal attempts and finished as the Warriors’ best bench scorer on the night. Post has seen his role fluctuate throughout the early part of the season and has yet to find the rhythm on offense that he displayed last season. Nevertheless, he’ll have a chance to log consecutive strong performances on Sunday against the Pacers.

Butler’s availability on Friday is big for the Warriors, who will face a Nuggets team looking to avenge an early-season loss. The veteran forward is averaging 19.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists through eight games this season and will re-enter the starting lineup on Friday, after missing his first game of the season on Wednesday, to help the Warriors get back on track after having lost three of their last four games.

Horford’s absence on Friday will leave the Warriors thinner in the frontcourt when facing Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets’ strong frontcourt. Nembhard has been out since the Pacers’ season opener, but a return may be on the horizon. If he can play on Saturday, Nembhard will likely push Ben Sheppard out of the starting lineup. Indiana has dealt with a ton of injuries in the backcourt this season, which led to them signing McClung in the first place. With Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler both sidelined, Kuminga moved up in the offensive pecking order on Wednesday. While he didn’t record any defensive stats, the offensive stats were certainly valuable to those who have him rostered. Kuminga is still ranked outside the top-100 in nine-cat formats, but he’s been more consistent than he was a season ago.

Making his first career start, Richard made the most of his opportunity. One night removed from picking up a DNP-CD in a win over the Suns, the second-round pick dropped a highly efficient 30 points while providing value in rebounds, assists and three-pointers. Richard should not be rostered in fantasy leagues, especially if Stephen Curry is back for Friday’s game against the Nuggets. However, his name should be filed away for the next time the Warriors decide to hold out a few of their vets.

While he did provide decent value in the rebound and steals categories, Horford had a brutal night shooting the basketball. The veteran center missed all seven of his three-point attempts and was 0-of-8 overall. Horford did play 27 minutes, the first time he’s surpassed 20 this season. It’s clear that Horford and the Warriors are playing the “long game” to ensure he’s healthy for the stretch run. However, this approach doesn’t do fantasy managers any favors.

Moody dropped a season-high point total on Wednesday, helping pick up the slack with Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green all sidelined. Moody has scored 20 points or more in two straight games for the first time since January 7-10, 2024. Rostered in six percent of Yahoo! leagues, he is ranked just outside the top-75 in nine-cat formats. However, with his opportunities being dictated in part by the availability of the Warriors’ stars, that rostered percentage won’t move much in the aftermath of Wednesday’s performance.

Due to their many injuries, the Pacers signed Robinson-Earl to a 10-day contract over the weekend. Wednesday’s game was the first in which he truly stood out, grabbing 15 rebounds. Due to the Pacers’ lack of healthy point guards, Siakam has been asked to take on more playmaking responsibilities this season. Of the eight games he’s played, Spicy P has recorded at least six assists in four, including a season-high nine on Wednesday. The negative was that he committed seven turnovers against the Nets, more than doubling his previous high (three). High-turnover nights of this caliber have been few and far between for Siakam, so there isn’t much to worry about. The only concern is that there may come a point later in the season when the Pacers’ draft lottery odds become a priority, but we aren’t there yet.

Sheppard, who started three games earlier this season, was back in the lineup on Wednesday due to Quenton Jackson (hamstring) being out. The third-year guard had his best game of the season, recording a complete stat line that included 18 points and three three-pointers. Rostered in three percent of Yahoo! leagues, Sheppard still isn’t in a place where he has to be on deep-league rosters. Due to a need to match up with Suns center Mark Williams, the Warriors started Post on Tuesday. The second-year center played well, shooting well over 50 percent from the field overall and 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Add in the rebounds and blocks; this was a good night to stream Post in deep leagues. Brandin Podziemski, bumped to the bench in favor of Post, finished with 13 points (5-of-11 FGs), two rebounds, four assists, one steal and one three-pointer. Al Horford (rest) will be available for Wednesday’s game against the Kings, so Post’s minutes may decrease after logging 27 on Tuesday.

With Jimmy Butler (back) being a shell of himself before exiting Tuesday’s game at the half, Curry had to shoulder even more of the offensive workload. He surpassed 20 field-goal attempts for the fourth time this season and is 17-of-46 over his last two games. Curry recorded a complete stat line, but the production was limited outside of points and three-pointers. Unfortunately for the Warriors, they could not put away Tuesday’s game until late, with Curry playing 34 minutes. They visit the Kings on Wednesday, so taking care of the Suns quickly would have been beneficial to get Curry and Draymond Green (2/6/8/1/1) additional rest. Siakam’s ranked outside the top-100 in eight- and nine-cat formats, with low percentages being the culprit. Given his career production, one would assume that Spicy P will close in on his Yahoo! Not only did Nesmith notch a career-high point total, but this was also his third 30-point game.
