Jackson suffered a head injury during Monday’s loss to the Celtics and has since entered the league’s concussion protocol. His absence did not result in more minutes for starting center Jay Huff, who logged 21 minutes in Tuesday’s loss to the Bucks. James Wiseman played 12 minutes off the bench. Huff is the only player worth considering in fantasy leagues, and even that comes with considerable risk.

Fresh off the most productive game of his NBA career, Kolek had another impactful performance on Christmas Day. The second-year guard finished one assist shy of a double-double and combined with Jordan Clarkson to score 41 points. Kolek may not be at the point where he’s a must-roster player, but Josh Hart’s fourth-quarter ankle injury may open up additional minutes for the Knicks’ reserves.

As much as Christmas Day games focus on name-brand stars, the Knicks’ bench was the difference in Thursday’s victory. Clarkson and Tyler Kolek spearheaded an 18-0 second-quarter run that erased a terrible start, and both made key plays during the second half to complete the rally. Clarkson’s 25 points are a season-high, and he’s reached double figures in four of his last five games. If Josh Hart (ankle) has to miss time, Clarkson’s opportunities will likely increase despite coming off the bench.

Towns fell into the bad habit of committing silly fouls, as two within the first two-plus minutes parked him on the bench early in the first quarter. While the scoring wasn’t there, KAT did grab a game-high 14 rebounds, including a putback of a Tyler Kolek miss with 27.3 seconds remaining that gave New York a four-point lead. Towns and Mitchell Robinson (13 rebounds, two assists and one blocked shot) combined to corral 27 of New York’s 43 rebounds on the day. The Knicks end Week 10 with a game against the Hawks on Saturday.

Brusnon and the Knicks got off to a brutally slow start on Christmas Day, making just two of their first 15 shot attempts. New York would get off the mat during the second and fourth quarters, but it was the bench that sparked the rallies as opposed to Brunson. The captain finished with his 15th game of 30 points or more, so all wasn’t lost for those who have him rostered. And individual plus/minus, which can be a flawed stat to begin with, is not a scoring category in fantasy leagues.

Hart was not on the court to finish Thursday’s comeback victory, as he sprained his right ankle on a drive to the basket early in the fourth quarter. The Knicks’ wing made his free throws and then limped back to the locker room after the team gave an intentional foul. Hart would not return, but he was on the bench to watch the Knicks complete their comeback. Tyler Kolek was part of the closing lineup, and he could take on an expanded role if Hart misses time.

Brunson will be back in action following Tuesday’s absence, and he should handle his typical workload. Tyler Kolek played well on Tuesday in his first career start, but he’ll head back to the bench in favor of New York’s usual starting PG. Brunson is fresh off a tremendous, 47-point performance in Sunday’s win over Miami, and he’ll look to build on that momentum on the national stage for the Christmas Day slate.

Not much went right for Indiana in this game. McConnell was the leading scorer off the bench, with his 16 points coming in 21 minutes. McConnell has had some solid performances this season, but he has been especially hot over his last two games, averaging 16 points while shooting 15-of-19 from the floor. However, Indiana has now lost six games in a row, with the Celtics up next on the schedule on Friday.

For the first time since late November, Hart has recorded double-doubles in consecutive games. Against the Timberwolves, he matched his season-high in rebounds and recorded at least eight assists in a game for the fifth time this season. Even when his shots aren’t falling, Hart is good enough to provide reliable category league value. A top-50 player in eight-cat formats, he’s rostered in 77 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Due to Jalen Brunson being out with an ankle injury, Kolek made his first career start on Tuesday. The second-year guard didn’t shoot the ball as well as he’s capable of, but he did record career-highs in points and rebounds. The Knicks didn’t have Jalen Brunson or OG Anunoby on Tuesday, so even more of the team’s offense ran through Towns. The 7-footer took full advantage, recording his first 40-point game of the season. Add in the rebounds and three-pointers, and this was one of KAT’s best performances of the season. Brunson and Anunoby should be back for the Knicks’ Christmas Day matinee against the Cavaliers, but Towns should remain an elite option in fantasy leagues.

Both Jalen Brunson (ankle) and OG Anunoby (ankle) are sidelined for this game. That allows Kolek and Robinson to enter the starting unit, with Kolek making the first start of his young career. For the second time in his NBA career and first since November 2017, KAT failed to score at least six points in a game. For the second time in his last three appearances, Bridges failed to record a steal or blocked shot on Friday. After having his streak of seven straight games with at least 20 points come to a screeching halt in Sunday’s blowout loss to the Wizards, Siakam got to work on a new streak on Thursday. While the field-goal percentage wasn’t the best, fantasy managers will undoubtedly take the overall stat line.
