Zubac’s production on Friday was minimal compared to what he has shown over the past couple of seasons. The veteran center didn’t find many scoring opportunities on Friday, and was surprisingly unimpactful on the glass in his 35 minutes of game action. As a result, his streak of double-doubles ended at three games, and he failed to secure double-digit rebounds for the first time since November 22 against the Hornets. He’ll have a chance to bounce back quickly on the second night of a back-to-back against the Timberwolves on Saturday.

Harden’s numbers were down on Friday across the board, as he put forth one of his least productive outings of the season. He finished with fewer than 20 points for just the 15th time this season, which didn’t appear would be the case after scoring 13 first-quarter points. He was also unproductive on the glass and didn’t provide his usual level of impact as a passer. All in all, it was an unspectacular performance from the former league MVP, relative to what type of numbers he’s usually putting up. Fantasy managers will hope Harden can bounce back against the Timberwolves on Saturday.

Leonard led the Clippers in scoring on Friday, but did so without scoring efficiently from beyond the arc. He shot 2-of-9 from deep and struggled with his shooting in the fourth quarter as the Grizzlies took control and eventually won the game. From a fantasy basketball standpoint, Leonard was solid — he did well on the glass and tallied more assists than his season’s average while chipping in a couple of stocks. Most importantly, the two-time Finals MVP has played 35 minutes in consecutive games. He appears to be off his minutes restriction, which could potentially lead to greater fantasy production going forward.

Edey’s night was unspectacular from a fantasy basketball perspective. He didn’t dominate in any singular category, but was solid enough across the board to finish with mediocre production. He played 29 minutes in the game, battled on both ends, and ultimately finished as the Grizzlies’ leader in blocks in the win. They’ll play Sunday against the Trail Blazers, where fantasy managers will hope for more production out of Edey.

Spencer was one of several Grizzlies to produce off the bench on Friday in the win. In 29 minutes, he led all Grizzlies in assists and relied heavily on the three-point shot to finish as one of the team’s top scorers on the evening. The second-year guard out of UConn continues to be one of the NBA’s more productive scorers off the bench in recent weeks. He’s now scored in double figures seven straight times and remains a key contributor to Memphis’ recent strong play.

Coward was dominant on Friday for the suddenly surging Grizzlies, who have won six of their last eight games. He used efficient scoring to tally his third 20-point outing of the season, but his most noteworthy contributions came on the glass, where he led all rebounders on the night en route to a new career-high. The rookie forward also tied a career-high in assists before finishing with his fourth double-double of the season. He continues to be a bright spot for the Grizzlies and should remain a productive player in fantasy leagues moving forward.

Haynes’ initial report said the Clippers were “severing ties” with Paul, and the team released a statement confirming that. Paul also posted on Instagram at 2:40 a.m. in Atlanta, where the Clippers are playing on Wednesday, that he is being sent home. Paul announced previously that this would be his final season, so this could give him an opportunity to join a contending team to close out his career. That was likely the idea with the Clippers, along with Paul enjoying some of the best seasons of his career with them, but the team has started off 5-16. CP3 has played a small reserve role this year, so his departure may open up a few minutes for Kris Dunn and Cam Christie, but it won’t significantly alter the rotation.

With all the backcourt injuries in Memphis, the 2024 second-round pick has been able to have a solid season as a reserve. With Ja Morant, Ty Jerome and Scotty Pippen Jr. all sidelined, Spencer has stepped up as a scorer as of late. 21 points were a new season high, and he has scored in double figures in six straight games. This was his third 20-point outing of the season, with all of them coming during this stretch. Given his injury history since joining the Clippers, Leonard’s playing both games of a back-to-back is encouraging. After logging 29 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Grizzlies, he matched that number on Saturday and recorded another 30-point game. After failing to hit double figures in scoring for the first time since November 4 in Friday’s loss to the Grizzlies, Zubac began a new streak on Saturday. The double-double was his 12th of the season, and the playing time remains high. Zubac has played at least 32 minutes in four straight and nine of his last ten games. The concern after Saturday’s game was the collision with Dallas’ Dwight Powell, which caused Zubac to hit the back of his head on the court. Harden recorded his second double-double in as many nights on Saturday, but the efficiency was missing.
