Exum and Hardy played in Monday’s loss to the Kings, with the former in the starting lineup. With Kyrie Irving (knee) out for the season, the Mavericks could not afford to lose Exum and Hardy. Their absences mean more playing time for Spencer Dinwiddie and Max Christie, who should move into the starting lineup. Both players are worth adding in deep leagues due to the Mavericks’ lack of healthy options.

Washington will miss a second straight game after aggravating the right ankle sprain that sidelined him for Dallas’ final three games before the All-Star break. The Mavericks started Monday’s loss to the Kings with Kessler Edwards and Dwight Powell at the power forward and center positions, but they provided little value. Hardy sustained an ankle injury during Monday night’s game against the Kings. The 22-year-old point guard was set to see additional minutes in the absence of Kyrie Irving, but he’ll find himself joining Irving on the sideline for now. Irving injured his knee in the first quarter of Monday night’s game against the Kings. The 32-year-old point guard was helped to the locker room as he was unable to put any weight on his left leg. The torn ACL for Irving is just another in a long line of injuries for the Mavericks this season as Anthony Davis, Dereck Lively III and Daniel Gafford are also sidelined. It’s possible depending on the severity of the tear that Irving will not be ready for the start of the 2025-26 season. With Austin Reaves (calf) out of the lineup, Vincent started alongside Luka Doncic on Sunday. He didn’t have the best night shooting the basketball, but Vincent did make three three-pointers and record a complete stat line. While Dalton Knecht offers a higher ceiling with Reaves sidelined, Vincent has the “security” of being a starter. That said, Sunday’s performance wasn’t good enough to make him a player worth adding.

Knecht reached double figures for the second time since his failed trade to the Hornets sent him back to the Lakers. The 19 points were the most he’s scored in a game since January 28. While Knecht still hasn’t reached the point where he should be rostered in most fantasy leagues, there are opportunities to produce. The Lakers are without Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves, so someone has to step up alongside Luka Doncic and LeBron James.

LeBron entered Sunday 18 points from 50,000 (regular season and postseason) for his career. He fell one point shy of that historic milestone, as efficiency was an issue. In addition to the subpar shooting night, James was responsible for eight turnovers. That’s the second-highest tally he’s had this season (11), and he’s averaged 5.7 turnovers per game since the All-Star break. However, LeBron has still provided top-15 value in nine-cat formats during this stretch.

While describing Doncic’s transition to the Lakers as seamless wouldn’t be completely accurate, he’s getting more comfortable by the game with his new team. After putting up a double-double in his first start as a Maverick on Thursday, Brown had another solid night on Saturday. The negative for the few who have him rostered is the lack of defensive stats, especially after Brown tallied three steals and two blocks against the Hornets two nights prior. After playing nine minutes on Friday, a sore right calf hastened Austin Reaves’ exit, and Vincent started the third quarter. He didn’t provide much scoring, but the assists and steals are notable. Irving continues to carry the load for Dallas on both ends of the floor, but this time, it led to a win after two straight losses. Irving’s production on the defensive end recently has been an excellent boost for fantasy managers; he is averaging two steals and two blocks over the Mavs’ last three games. Of course, the offensive production continues to be there, though his shooting percentage has been slightly down recently. He scored 11 of his 22 points in the final frame, but the Mavericks were unable to get over the hump. The 22 points are the most Thompson has scored in a game since February 6, when he dropped 25 on the Celtics.
