Hachimura’s 17 points were the most he’s scored in a game since November 10, when he dropped 21 in a win over the Hornets. While he is playing good minutes, averaging just over 33 per game, playing in a lineup headlined by Luka Dončić, LeBron James and Austin Reaves limits Rui’s fantasy ceiling and floor. He’s ranked just inside the top-200 in eight- and nine-cat formats, which explains why Hachimura is rostered in 19 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

With the Lakers’ “big three” of Luka Dončić, LeBron James and Austin Reaves available, Ayton’s scoring opportunities were bound to take a hit. The seven field-goal attempts were the fewest for the 7-footer in a game that he’s played at least 25 minutes since a November 12 loss to the Thunder. But he made all of them, in his most accurate performance of the season. Add in the rebounds, and Ayton finished with his ninth double-double of the season.

Despite a rough start to the week, rumors of LeBron’s demise may have been greatly exaggerated. Back in the lineup after sitting out Friday’s loss to the Celtics, the 40-year-old picked up the slack for the Lakers in crunch time. James shot 5-of-6 from the field in the fourth quarter, including two three-pointers in crunch time that helped the Lakers end their road trip on a high note. With the NBA Cup knockout stages resulting in lighter schedules for the entire league, LeBron and the Lakers will receive some welcome rest, even if they advance to the semifinals with a win over the Spurs on Wednesday.

Back with the Lakers after missing two games to be present for the birth of his second child, Dončić made up for lost time by recording his second triple-double of the season. Over the past two weeks, only Nikola Jokić has provided greater fantasy value than Dončić, whose season-long production places him third in eight-cat formats. The Lakers return home to host San Antonio in an NBA Cup quarterfinal contest on Wednesday, with the winner advancing to the semifinals on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Boyea produced a season-high in points and finished as the Suns’ second leading scorer on Friday. More than half of his scoring production came in the fourth quarter when the game was mostly out of reach and in the Rockets’ favor. Still, he shot efficiently and made the most of his 18 minutes of game action. While Friday’s outing was a strong one, Bouyea is not someone to consider rostering in fantasy leagues.

The momentum from Monday’s 28-point outing against the Lakers did not carry over into Friday’s contest for Gillespie. He went 1-of-7 from deep and scored fewer than half the points he produced in Monday’s season-high performance. Still, Gillespie was the Suns’ third-leading scorer on the night and threw in a few assists along the way. He’ll need to have more productive games to be considered anything more than a fringe roster player in fantasy leagues. However, he’s proven recently capable of turning out some strong performances.

Brooks was Phoenix’s go-to scorer on Friday with Devin Booker (groin) sidelined, and he finished as the team’s only player to tally at least 20 points. He didn’t get there in the most efficient way, but Brook’s high volume allowed him to go beyond his season’s scoring average, even without making a three-pointer for the first time as a Phoenix Suns player. He tied a season-high in assists and was mediocre on the glass without collecting any stocks. Brooks has certainly turned out better fantasy performances, but Friday wasn’t a dud by any means. Still, he’ll look to be more productive on Monday against the Timberwolves.

LaRavia returned to the starting lineup with LeBron James (sciatica) sidelined for the second night of the Lakers’ back-to-back. LaRavia has been effective in previous starts this season, but he wasn’t able to contribute much during his 21 minutes in this game. From January 6, 2007, through December 1, 2025, LeBron had scored at least 10 points in 1,297 consecutive games. After being held to 10 points in Monday’s loss to the Suns, the streak came to an end in Toronto. And it wasn’t for a lack of trying, as only Austin Reaves attempted more shots among the Lakers who saw action. However, give James credit for not forcing the issue on the possession, instead finding Rui Hachimura (12/3/0/1 with two three-pointers) in the corner for the game-winning triple as time expired. James was one of several key Lakers who couldn’t get going on the offensive end on Monday. He took only 10 shots, had his most inefficient shooting performance thus far, and recorded a season-low in points as a result. The versatile forward had little impact in another area of the game — he failed to grab a rebound, only produced a few assists, and didn’t register any stocks for the game. With Devin Booker exiting after just 10 minutes due to a groin injury, Gillespie joined Dillon Brooks in carrying the Suns to another impressive victory. The former Villanova Wildcat served the Lakers a season high in points and three-pointers, while matching his season average in assists along the way. Brooks carried the scoring load for the Suns on Monday, with Devin Booker (groin) being limited to 10 minutes of game action. He was aggressive in his approach, generating a season-high in field goal attempts along the way, but shot efficiently enough to log his third 30-point game as a member of the Suns. Brooks has brought both production and intangibles to Phoenix on both ends of the floor, which has the team playing far better than most predicted.
