The 21-year-old power forward could be one of the main beneficiaries of the Jaren Jackson Jr. trade as he’s consistently shown he can produce when given the opportunity. Numerous teams were interested in making a move for White, and Charlotte has won the sweepstakes. With Sexton heading to Chicago, White will likely fill out the sixth man role that Sexton previously occupied and should start when LaMelo Ball comes off the bench during back-to-backs. The 18th overall pick in last summer’s draft, Clayton did play rotation minutes for the Jazz this season. However, with Keyonte George making significant strides in terms of his ability to run a team and Isaiah Collier also in the fold, fantasy relevance was going to be incredibly difficult for the rookie to achieve. Depending on what the Grizzlies do with Ja Morant, either before the trade deadline or in the summer, Clayton could be an important piece as part of a rebuild if Memphis chooses that path. Based on Tuesday’s transaction, a complete rebuild may be the more likely option.

Williams was pushed back to the bench after starting the Grizzlies’ last game, but that didn’t stop him from having a productive night. He was one of seven players to score in double figures for Memphis, including three from off the bench. Following a one-game absence with a quad injury, Jackson returned to the lineup against Minnesota. That was enough to help snap a six-game losing streak. This was Jackson’s fourth 30-point game of the season, and this was a new career high for free throws made in a game without a miss. Ball took a hit to the face early in this game after both he and head coach Charles Lee went for a ball that was going out of bounds. Ball went to the locker room, but he was able to return and push Charlotte’s winning streak to seven games. Ball hasn’t been the only reason for Charlotte’s recent success, but he has only missed three games since November, which is a great development for him. However, he was able to have his first double-digit scoring outing of the season in this game. Rust? What rust? Saturday’s game was Jerome’s first after suffering a calf strain during the preseason. Cam Spencer (5/3/5/2 with one three-pointer) played 25 minutes off the bench, but Jerome’s immediate insertion into the starting lineup is a concern for those who held onto the second-year guard.
