Spencer didn’t bring much to the table as a scorer on Monday, but he had the most productive night of his NBA career in the assist category. The second-year guard’s 14 assists were a career-high, and he committed just three turnovers. Spencer isn’t going to offer the scoring that Ja Morant brings to the table, but he is worth rostering as long as the Grizzlies’ starting point guard is out. Rostered in 30 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Spencer has been a seventh-round player over the past two weeks.

Back in the Grizzlies’ lineup after a two-game absence, Aldama played 27 minutes on Monday. The production was solid, and he’s now reached double figures in four of his last five appearances. Jock Landale (personal) being away from the team could have raised Aldama’s fantasy ceiling, but the playing time did not receive a significant boost. That said, he should be rostered in standard leagues as long as the Grizzlies are without starting center Zach Edey (ankle).

Much-maligned for his lackluster rebounding production, Jackson has made strides in that area recently. Counting Monday’s line, this is the first time in nearly a month that the Grizzlies’ forward has grabbed at least six rebounds in three straight games. Add in the points and blocked shots, and fantasy managers received solid value from Jackson in his first game of Week 15. The Grizzlies play three more games this week.

Aldama will play against the Rockets on Monday after a two-game absence. His return will give the Grizzlies a key scorer off the bench, as well as a capable rebounder and facilitator, as the team looks to put an end to their two-game losing streak.

Due to Monday’s game being a blowout, Kalkbrenner (26 minutes) played more than starter Moussa Diabaté (12 points and five rebounds in 20 minutes). The rookie finished one rebound shy of a double-double, and the overall production was excellent. Kalkbrenner’s fantasy ceiling is lower than it was earlier this season since he’s coming off the bench, but the 7-foot-1 center is still playing consistent rotation minutes.

Like the other Hornets starters, Knueppel’s playing time decreased because Monday’s game was a blowout. The rookie logged 20 minutes, negatively affecting his production. However, fantasy managers still received solid value in the rebound, assist and steal categories. Knueppel, who has been one of the best rookies in the NBA this season, returns to action on Wednesday when the Hornets visit Memphis.

Recently, the Hornets have taken measures to manage Ball’s workload, so the training staff must have loved Monday’s outcome. Charlotte won by a large margin, beating the 76ers 130-93, which led to Ball playing only 20 minutes. Fantasy managers who have him rostered would have hoped for a more competitive game given the impact on Ball’s playing time, but keeping him healthy throughout the season is Charlotte’s priority.

Monday’s game was one of the best of the season for Miller, and not just because he notched his third 30-point game. The third-year wing only needed to attempt 12 shots from the field to get the job done, shooting 6-of-9 from beyond the arc. And with the Hornets leading by as much as 50, Miller did not play at all during the fourth quarter. He’s been on a roll recently, having scored at least 20 points in seven consecutive games.

Landale was questionable on Friday for personal reasons but ultimately took the court in that game and again on Sunday. He’ll be out for the second leg of Memphis’ back-to-back set, and with Santi Aldama (knee) questionable, the Grizzlies could be thin in the frontcourt. GG Jackson could be in line for a bump in playing time if Aldama is ruled out.

Diabaté again started ahead of Ryan Kalkbrenner against the Wizards on Saturday. The 24-year-old center also played the majority of the center minutes with 32 minutes played to Kalkbrenner’s 16 and it’s no mystery as to why given their respective production Saturday. The pair of centers continue to handle the center minutes, though it’s anyone’s guess who will lead the team in minutes on a given night. Kalkbrenner’s fantasy value would have better standing if Diabaté’s role was diminished in any way.

The 23-year-old small forward is averaging 23.7 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, 4.0 assists per game and 3.2 three-pointers per game over his last six games. The injury is expected to sideline the 26-year-old point guard for at least the next three weeks, at which point he’ll be reevaluated. Spencer got the start on Friday and logged his best performance of January. The second-year guard only needed single-digit shot attempts to efficiently work his way past the 20-point mark as a scorer, and also finished as the only player on either team to record double-digit assists. The double-double marked the third one of January for Spencer, who is still looking to fully recapture the success he had earlier in the season. Nonetheless, he was productive on Friday and will have a chance to log another big game on Sunday against the Nuggets.

Landale was one of several productive Grizzlies on Friday. He scored well both inside and outside the arc while making a difference on the glass. As a result, the fifth-year center came away with a big double-double in his 32 minutes of game action. Landale has easily put together his best statistical season as an NBA player and has proven to be a nice fit alongside Jaren Jackson Jr. in the frontcourt. He’ll have a chance to land a third straight double-double on Friday against the Nuggets.

Despite some inefficient shooting, mostly beyond the arc, Jackson took advantage of the charity stripe and worked his way past the 25-point mark for the third time in January. The former Defensive Player of the Year also impacted the game as a shot blocker and used active hands to walk away from this one with five stocks. Additionally, Jackson reached double figures in rebounding for the first time this month, which resulted in his third double-double of the season. Friday served as a nice bounce-back performance for him.

Iisalo also said Jerome needs to “build up over the next week or two,” but he is “very close.” Jerome has yet to make his debut for Memphis after injuring his calf in the preseason finale. He still may not return until closer to the All-Star break, but he will eventually fill out some of the backcourt minutes for the Grizzlies. However, it seems likely that Ja Morant will remain with Memphis for the rest of the season, so there isn’t much upside for Jerome unless there is an injury in front of him.

He didn’t do any more scoring in the fourth quarter, but he didn’t need to due to the lopsided score. Sexton has been a consistent source of offense off the bench for the Hornets this season, but that hasn’t led to much production for fantasy managers. However, he was incredibly efficient in this game, which led to his highest field goal percentage in a game this year. Sexton hasn’t been worth rostering in standard leagues this season, and that won’t change just because of one solid performance. Since grabbing 12 rebounds in a December 30 loss to the 76ers, Jackson has recorded six rebounds or more in three of his last nine appearances. That includes Wednesday’s six-rebound performance, one that was plagued by foul trouble. And the fouls weren’t limited to the defensive end of the floor, as there were a couple called due to illegal screens.
