Ankle soreness will give Morant his first injury-related absence of the season, as he is set to miss Wednesday’s game when the Grizzlies take on the Celtics on the second night of a back-to-back. Morant is currently averaging his fewest points per game since his rookie season and is logging a career-high in turnovers per game. Cam Spencer is a candidate to replace Morant in the starting lineup.

Edey is still yet to appear in game this season, but his doubtful listing is a step in the right direction in his recovery. Grizzlies coach Tuomas lisalo told reporters he’s seen Edey practice recently and that he’s still not 100 percent. The 23-year-old center is getting closer to a return, but don’t expect him to be available Wednesday against the Celtics.

Morant is dealing with right ankle soreness. The 26-year-old point guard’s status is truly up in the air given his questionable listing. The Grizzlies are on the second night of a back-to-back after losing to the Knicks Tuesday night. Morant has appeared in 11 of the team’s 12 games this year, though durability hasn’t been his strong suit over the course of his career.

Coward struggled from deep in his first trip to Madison Square Garden, shooting 0-of-5 from beyond the arc. However, the rookie guard provided solid value in assists, steals and blocked shots. Coward’s ability to fill a stat line has made him one of the more valuable rookies in fantasy basketball, as he’s providing top-50 value in nine-cat formats and top-75 value in eight-cat. Rostered in 38 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Coward deserves more consideration, even with the Grizzlies only playing twice more during Week 4.

While Morant finished Tuesday’s loss with his third double-double of the season, he had a brutal first half. The Grizzlies’ point guard racked up three assists and seven turnovers before halftime, at times looking like he’d rather be anywhere else than Madison Square Garden. Morant was better in the second half, and Memphis was able to pull to within 10 points before New York shut the door. Given his reported frustrations, Morant’s situation is one to watch as Memphis navigates multiple injuries.

The Grizzlies have lost six of their last seven games, but Jackson’s production has been relatively consistent. He’s scored at least 17 points in three straight and five of his last six games. The issue for Jackson has been foul trouble, with the Grizzlies forward picking up his third disqualification of the season on Tuesday. With Ja Morant’s inconsistent effort and production, the Grizzlies need even more from Jackson. And fantasy managers would also benefit from improved production.

Like many of his teammates, Coward struggled inside the arc on Sunday, shooting 1-of-6. However, he made half of his six three-point attempts and was active on the boards, recording his second double-double. Rostered in 36 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Coward is providing top-50 value in nine-cat formats. The negative in the short term is that Memphis’ three-game Week 4 starts with a Tuesday/Wednesday back-to-back, which may limit Coward’s value. However, he should have staying power in fantasy basketball throughout the season.

While Morant looked better in Friday’s win over the Mavericks, all isn’t fine for the Grizzlies’ point guard. Pestered throughout Sunday’s game by Oklahoma City’s guards, he shot 1-of-11 from inside the three-point line. Add in the foul trouble, and this was a rough night for Morant and those who have him rostered. With the Grizzlies playing three games during Week 4, the hope is that a trip to Madison Square Garden on Tuesday will help Morant rediscover the “joy” he’s claimed to have lost recently.

Jackson didn’t have the best night shooting the basketball, and his finishing in the paint was the issue. The Grizzlies forward shot 3-of-8 in the paint, which negatively impacted his overall field-goal percentage. However, the rebounds, blocks and three-pointers were solid, so all wasn’t lost for fantasy managers who have Jackson rostered. He’s providing seventh-round value in nine-cat formats, which isn’t the production that many hoped for based on JJJ’s Yahoo! ADP of 36. Memphis plays three games during Week 4, starting with the Knicks on Tuesday.

While Sheppard got off to an inconsistent start on the offensive end of the floor, he’s picked up the production recently. The second-year guard has reached double figures in three straight games, and he’s recorded seven steals during this stretch. Sheppard’s four steals on Sunday were a career-high, surpassing the three he recorded in an October 25 loss to the Pistons. While he still isn’t at the point where he has to be rostered in 12-team leagues, Sheppard is a player to watch for the back end of Week 4, as Houston doesn’t play again until Wednesday.

Of the five double-doubles he has recorded this season, the Rockets center has scored at least 20 points in four. Durant produced an offensive masterclass on Sunday, missing only four shots from the field and recording his third 30-point game of the season. And this comes on the heels of a three-game run that was anything but the norm for Durant. During that stretch, he averaged 18.7 points per game while shooting 35.2 percent from the field. Jackson Jr. had an unspectacular night overall, but shot efficiently in the 29 minutes he played. He drained a pair of three-pointers in the process and connected on all three of his free throws. Coward finished Friday’s win as one of two Grizzlies to reach the 20-point mark. His scoring total came by way of efficient shooting and solid production from beyond the arc. Despite not shooting well from either inside or beyond the arc, Morant volumed his way to his first 20-point game of November. The more impressive part of his outing, however, was how well he made plays for others — the superstar guard set a season high in assists, although the strong facilitating was met with a season-worst seven turnovers. Durant added another 20-point game to his collection, marking the sixth time he’s done so as a Houston Rocket. As he often does, the two-time Finals MVP thrived as a scorer at all three levels and also found production at the free-throw line. Sengun had another balanced performance on Friday against the Spurs, which was good enough to nearly collect a triple-double. Such well-rounded stat lines are the new normal for Sengun in his fifth NBA season, having firmly placed himself on the short list of upper-echelon centers. Still, Sengun logged another solid game overall.

Sheppard set a new season-high in points and logged his second double-digit scoring performance in a row, again using the three-point shot to his advantage on Friday. Ja Morant wasn’t the only culprit in the Grizzlies’ loss to the Rockets on Wednesday. Jackson had his lowest scoring output of the season with nine points on six attempts from the field. This was just the second time in eight games that the 26-year-old power forward shot worse than 50 percent in a game. Jackson is certainly better than this, but if he was more aggressive in getting shots up he wouldn’t have to be so efficient to get his points. If the Grizzlies are going to stop this three-game losing streak from growing, they’re going to need Jackson, who they signed to a max contract this offseason, to step up.

Jackson set his season-high for scoring in a second straight game. After scoring 20 points against Toronto on Sunday, he exceeded that mark against Detroit as the Grizzlies dropped a third straight game.
