Another injury is the last thing the Pacers needed. Walker exited Saturday’s game with a sore left foot and is questionable to return. Having Johnny Furphy back in the rotation will help account for his absence, as will Jeremiah Robinson-Earl. If Walker has to miss time, Furphy would be worth targeting in deep leagues.

Morant’s suspension stems from comments made following Friday’s loss to the Lakers. The Grizzlies’ point guard had a disappointing performance, shooting 3-of-14 from the field and finishing with eight points, one rebound, seven assists and one steal in 31 minutes. When asked about his struggles, Morant told the assembled media to “go ask the coaching staff.” According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Grizzlies head coach Tuomas Iisalo challenged Morant’s leadership following the game, to which the point guard responded in a way that prompted the suspension. He’ll miss Sunday’s game against the Raptors, making Cam Spencer and Vince Williams Jr. players to consider grabbing off the waiver wire.

Furphy missed the last four games with a bone bruise in his left foot, but is likely to return Saturday against the Warriors given his probable injury designation. Robinson-Earl was waived by the Mavericks in October after signing a training camp deal in the offseason. The Pacers interest likely has more to do with their injury situation than anything Robinson-Earl has done recently. He could get some run with the Pacers missing half of their players, but would be facing an uphill battle for minutes once Indiana gets healthy.

Jackson isn’t the offensive catalyst that Ja Morant is for the Grizzlies, but he’s certainly one of the teams’ best players. The 26-year-old power forward had just two points in the second half as Memphis blew a 14-point halftime lead to the Lakers on Friday. Jackson was also fairly quiet in the other categories as he had four rebounds, one assist and no blocks or steals before he fouled out. He could stand to be more assertive on offense as he only took eight shots in the game while Ja Morant, Jaylen Wells, Santi Aldama, Cedric Coward and Vince Williams Jr. all took more in a close loss.

The Grizzlies were up by 14 at halftime, but Morant had trouble scoring all night and outright failed to score in the second half. The 26-year-old point guard is playing through an ankle injury, which could be contributing to him scoring above 23 points only twice in six games. Morant isn’t known for his three-point shooting, but he’s 5-for-30 from behind the three-point line so far. Overall, he’s had two good games out of six and he needs to be more consistent and efficient on offense.

After missing Indiana’s first two games due to a hamstring injury suffered during the preseason, Jackson was ramped up gradually ahead of Friday’s game. While he did start, Jackson only played 22 minutes. However, the production was encouraging, and he’s worth streaming in deep leagues until Andrew Nembhard or T.J. McConnell is cleared to return. Ben Sheppard, who was in the starting lineup, played 29 minutes off the bench and finished with four points (2-of-9 FGs), seven rebounds and one assist. He’s no longer worth the streaming risk in redraft leagues.

Unsurprisingly, Siakam once again led the Pacers in scoring. However, his efficiency was lacking, as he shot 33.3 percent from the field and 60 percent from the foul line. Also, Siakam did not record any defensive stats, which was somewhat surprising given that he was averaging 1.5 steals per game entering Friday. Siakam will be fine, but it’s fair for some to be concerned about the workload he’s had to shoulder due to the Pacers’ many injuries.

Two days removed from scoring 20 points in a loss to the Mavericks, Walker pumped in 17 more against the Hawks on Friday. While the circumstances are suboptimal, the third-year forward is in a spot where he can provide consistent fantasy value. Before Friday’s game, the Pacers announced that Obi Toppin (foot) will be out until February, joining the team’s lengthy injury list. Jackson has been consistent on offense, scoring between 16 and 19 points in each of the Grizzlies’ five games. However, that has not been the case on the boards. After totaling five rebounds in games against the Heat and Pacers, he’s grabbed 13 over the last two games. While Morant did commit six turnovers, he shot over 50 percent from the field and made the game’s biggest shot. With 7.3 seconds remaining, his floater gave the Grizzlies a 114-113 lead that would stand as the final score after a Devin Booker miss. Morant’s 28 points are the most he’s scored in a game since the opener, when he dropped 35 on the Pelicans. Given the Pacers’ many injuries, Nesmith has every opportunity to take on an expanded offensive role. Unfortunately, he had a brutal night in Dallas. Nesmith shot 1-of-9 from three, with his last attempt coming off an intentionally missed free throw in the final seconds that would have won the game. Like most of his other shots, Nesmith’s final effort missed the mark. However, while Wednesday’s performance was discouraging, the current state of Indiana’s roster makes it worthwhile to hold onto Nesmith in deep leagues. Especially with the Pacers ending Week 2 with a Friday/Saturday back-to-back.

Dennis was not in the starting lineup on Wednesday, but he was among the Pacers’ finishers. The two-way contract guard shot 4-of-7 from beyond the arc, providing the Pacers with much-needed production off the bench. Starter Ben Sheppard (4/8/2 in 25 minutes) shot 1-of-7 from the field, and he isn’t much of a point guard. While he shot a respectable 4-of-10 from beyond the arc, Walker’s inability to finish in the paint torpedoed his overall field-goal percentage. Shooting 1-of-9 on two-pointers, the third-year forward was 0-of-7 in the paint. The good news for those who streamed Walker out of necessity was that his overall stat line justified that decision. With Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) unavailable, it was known before the season began that the Pacers would need even more production from Siakam than they’ve received in the past. All eight of Wells’ shot attempts were from beyond the arc Wednesday night, which is somewhat surprising given the Grizzlies’ need to account for the offense lost when Desmond Bane was traded to Orlando. Jackson did have to deal with some foul trouble, but that did not prevent him from putting up a big number in the blocks category. The six rejections were two shy of his career-high, and JJJ was productive as a rebounder and scorer. The Grizzlies started Jock Landale (10 points, four rebounds, two blocks and one three-pointer) at the five, and he logged 25 minutes, while Santi Aldama (5/6/2/1/2) played 24 off the bench.
