Embiid has been available for Philadelphia’s last four games, most recently logging 40 minutes in Monday’s overtime loss to the Nuggets. While Wednesday’s game is not part of a back-to-back, the 76ers may view it as an opportunity to get their 7-footer a little time off. Edgecombe had a rough first half shooting the ball, and he entered the break scoreless. However, he came alive after that and nearly recorded a triple-double. The poor first half resulted in a subpar field goal percentage for him, but the counting stats were incredibly strong from him. Though availability has been an issue, Embiid has been productive when available this season. Recently, he’s been available, and the minutes have increased as well. He has played in four straight games, his longest stretch of the season. He’s also played at least 33 minutes in each, which is more than he has played in any other game this year. He played a season-high 40 minutes in this game, which led to his third double-double in four games. After a quiet first three quarters, Wells got hot in the fourth, shooting 5-of-8 from the field and scoring 15 points. For the sake of fantasy managers, it would have been nice to get a little more from Wells earlier in the game. With Ja Morant out and Cedric Coward leaving with an ankle injury, there was more room for the second-year wing to get shots. For his fantasy value to improve, Wells will need to be more aggressive offensively when the Grizzlies are at or near full strength.

After playing 20 minutes off the bench in Friday’s loss to the Lakers, Landale received the starting nod on Sunday, replacing Christian Koloko. The 30-year-old center responded with his fourth double-double of the season. However, while Landale put up a solid effort on Sunday, his production still isn’t at the point where he has to be streamed, especially with Santi Aldama still available in more than half of Yahoo! leagues. While Spencer has usually been a reliable option for deep-league fantasy managers this season, Sunday was not one of those nights. The positive was that he dished out a team-high nine assists. Unfortunately, Spencer could not find his shot. He missed all five of his three-point attempts and was 1-of-10 from the field overall. The Knicks have failed to slow down Philadelphia’s backcourt of Edgecombe and Tyrese Maxey in their two meetings, with the tandem combining for 62 points on Saturday. However, despite how well he played against one of his former teams, KCP is not worth the risk in most leagues.
