While Drew Eubanks (4/10/2/1 in 14 minutes) has filled the void in the starting lineup left by the injured Domantas Sabonis, Achiuwa has been more valuable to fantasy managers over the past week. Rostered in three percent of Yahoo! leagues, he has been five rounds more valuable than Eubanks in nine-cat formats. Neither Achiuwa nor Eubanks should be considered a must-roster player, but the former should be the preferred option for managers in dire need of a post player.

Wednesday’s game was a strange one for Westbrook, who is usually more reliable in the assist category. He shot 3-of-5 from beyond the arc and did a good job on the glass, but the veteran point guard recorded five turnovers. A high-turnover night is unsurprising, but one would expect more from Westbrook in the assist category to counter that. He’ll look to get back on track when the Kings visit the Jazz on Friday.

Murray was one of two Kings to lead the way in scoring on Wednesday, with Russell Westbrook also tallying 19 points. Since making his first start on November 22, the fourth-year forward has scored at least 19 in all three games. For fantasy managers, it has been good to see Murray not take a back seat to Zach LaVine or DeMar DeRozan so far. What would be most impactful on his value for the rest of the season is the Kings moving a veteran or two, clearing the decks for Murray.

Less than a week removed from dishing out 15 assists against the Kings, Williams recorded a new career-high in that category on Wednesday. He didn’t do much scoring and was responsible for six turnovers, but the assists, rebounds and “stocks” meant that Williams managers didn’t lose out on value. Rostered in 23 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he has provided top-100 fantasy value over the past week. The Grizzlies play two more games during Week 6, and Vince is worth a look with Ja Morant sidelined.

Two nights removed from recording his first 20-point game of the season, Wells dropped 25 points in New Orleans. The sudden scoring surge is an excellent development for the Grizzlies, who are still playing without Ja Morant. While Cedric Coward (12/9/4/0/1) remains the superior fantasy option, Wells has been a sixth-round player in nine-cat formats over the past week. Hopefully, he can build on the last two games, but consistency has been an issue for Wells this season.

Edey matched his season-high in rebounds and notched his first 20-point game on Wednesday. The Pelicans struggled to find an answer for him offensively, as Edey was able to hover around the paint for most of the night. He’s only played in six games thus far, but the fantasy returns are promising. We’ll see what happens once Ja Morant returns from injury, but Edey should be a valuable center throughout the season.

Not only were Jackson’s 27 points a game-high, but they were also the most he’s scored in a game this season. While the rebounding production remains disappointing, JJJ’s overall stat line in Wednesday’s overtime victory was solid. The good news for Jackson managers is that he’s closing in on top-100 value. However, no one expected him to be that low in the rankings when the season began. The Grizzlies continue their road trip with games against the Clippers and Kings to end Week 6.

The Timberwolves squandered a 10-point lead in the final three minutes, allowing DeRozan to sink a pair of free throws with 34 seconds remaining to force overtime. The 36-year-old veteran — who passed Alex English for 24th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list in the process — went a perfect 15-for-15 at the line and cracked the 30-point threshold for the first time this season. Murray notched his first double-double of the season as Sacramento overcame a 10-point deficit in the final three minutes to ultimately emerge with an overtime victory. The 25-year-old former lottery pick was extremely aggressive in this one, taking a season-high 19 shots while stepping up from a rebounding standpoint with center Domantas Sabonis sidelined with left knee soreness. Monk scored 16 of his 22 points off the bench in the second half, knocking down seven of 12 shots after the break to help Sacramento mount a late comeback effort. The veteran sharpshooter did a little bit of everything in this one, adding two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in a performance that felt like a full Thanksgiving plate. He can be safely ignored in most fantasy leagues but should see a few additional shot opportunities while Domantas Sabonis remains sidelined with left knee soreness.

Monday was a big night for Wells on the offensive end of the floor. Not only was this his first 20-point game of the season, but it was the seventh in which the second-year wing hit double figures. With Ja Morant out and Jaren Jackson Jr. and Zach Edey also dealing with injuries, this is a spot where Wells will need to provide more on the offensive end of the floor. Back in action after a two-game absence, Jackson struggled with his perimeter shot on Monday. The Grizzlies’ forward/center was 1-of-8 from beyond the arc, but that wasn’t the most disappointing part of his night. Jackson did not record any defensive stats, and those categories are crucial for a mediocre rebounder like him. JJJ exceeded his season average in rebounds on Monday, but the 5.3 per game would be the lowest mark for him since the 2019-20 season (4.6).

The veteran center finished with the first 20/10 game of his NBA career, and the 26 points matched his career-high. Having begun the season as Sacramento’s starting point guard, Schröder lost his job on November 14, and the demotion has negatively impacted his fantasy value. However, the veteran guard is capable of having the occasional big night despite coming off the bench. Saturday was an example of that, with Schröder only needing 15 minutes to record one of his best lines of the season. The potential, which was realized on Saturday, is why Schröder is still rostered in 36 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Playing in Denver for the first time since leaving the Nuggets in free agency this summer, Westbrook was outstanding on Saturday. The veteran point guard recorded an efficient double-double, and he’s providing top-100 value in eight-cat formats. Westbrook’s play led to him replacing Dennis Schröder as the Kings’ starting point guard earlier this season, and the depth chart won’t change anytime soon, given his solid play. Murray was inserted into the starting lineup on Saturday after coming off the bench in his season debut on Thursday. The good news for fantasy managers was that he was pretty involved in the Kings’ offense, something that had been a concern last season, when he was playing alongside Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan for the first time. Due to Ja Morant’s injuries, Williams has started four of Memphis’ last five games. During this stretch, he’s only been a 12th-round player in eight-cat formats according to Basketball Monster. Over the past week, the 7-foot-4 center has provided third-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats, well above his Yahoo! ADP of 118. Expecting Edey to maintain this value for the entire season may not be realistic, as the Grizzlies have been without Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. However, a top-100 season feels like the minimum expectation for a post player of his skill level.

After shooting 7-of-17 from the field and tallying 16 points in his last two appearances, LaVine got back on track Thursday night. He’s scored at least 25 points in eight of his 14 appearances this season, but lackluster production in assists, steals and blocked shots has limited the veteran wing’s fantasy ceiling. Precious Achiuwa remained in the starting power forward role, playing 24 minutes and finishing with two points and five rebounds. There were times when he and Murray shared the court, but Murray logging 32 minutes in his debut is a positive sign. Where he fits in Doug Christie’s rotation bears watching. While Murray has been a starter throughout his career, coming off the bench on this particular team may open things up for him offensively.
