Initially questionable for Friday’s game, Martin is on track to sit due to a sore lower back. Due to how shorthanded the Mavericks are on track to be on the wings, rookie Miles Kelly may play rotation minutes. However, he would not be worth the streaming risk. Khris Middleton and Naji Marshall are available and can be slotted into fantasy lineups.

Randle had a rough night in Inglewood, producing his lowest scoring output of the season. Fantasy managers were able to salvage something due to the six assists, but this was a disappointing night for the Timberwolves’ forward. Naz Reid (11 points, seven rebounds, one steal and two blocks) and Jaden McDaniels (12/7/2/3) stepped up, supplementing Anthony Edwards’ 31-point night to help the Timberwolves escape with the 94-88 victory. Randle will look to bounce back when Minnesota visits Denver on Sunday.

DiVincenzo has made at least three three-pointers in four straight games, knocking down four against the Clippers. The assists and steals have been just as important over the past week for the Timberwolves’ guard, who has been a top-50 player. DiVincenzo and the Timberwolves have one more game in Week 18, on Sunday against the Nuggets in Denver.

Edwards leads the NBA in points scored in road games, and he was at his best during the second half of Thursday’s victory. He scored 21 points after halftime, including a three-pointer over two defenders with 42.9 seconds remaining that gave the Timberwolves a four-point lead. While the shot selection can be an adventure at times, Edwards is one of the NBA’s most lethal scorers. And when he’s shooting as well as he did in the second half of Thursday’s game, Ant-Man is nearly impossible to stop.

Marshall has been an excellent source of offense over the last two seasons for Dallas, but this was one of his best. He has seven 30-point games in his career, all coming over the past calendar year, including five this season. He fell two points shy of matching his career high in this one. As long as he’s healthy and available, he’ll continue to pour in the stats for the Mavs.

Bagley got the starting nod with Daniel Gafford (ankle) sidelined, and he was able to have a decent outing against the team that took him second overall in 2018. Over his last four games, Bagley has averaged 14.8 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. He has taken on an extended role with Dallas and should be productive option for the remainder of the season. However, managers shouldn’t expect consistent production in categories other than points and rebounds.

Middleton suffered a right shoulder stinger during Tuesday’s win over the Nets and did not return for the second half. Gobert was back after serving a one-game suspension on Sunday, and he picked up right where he left off. He had 22 points and 17 rebounds in his previous game, and while he didn’t do as much scoring, he was able to set a new season high for rebounds. McDaniels has been excellent all season, and this was another big-time performance for him. Not only did he have a strong night as a scorer, but he also contributed eight defensive stats in the win. This was only the second time in NBA history that a player finished with at least three steals, five blocks and five three-pointers, with Brook Lopez achieving those marks in a game in 2024. McDaniels has provided top-20 value in nine-category leagues over the past two weeks.

Edwards got off to a scorching hot start to this game, entering the break with 25 points. However, he went ice-cold in the second half and wasn’t able to add to what could have been a monster night for him. It ended up being an inefficient shooting night, but he also has 12 turnovers over his last two games. He’ll look to clean that up against the Clippers on Thursday.

Williams finished Tuesday’s victory with his first double-double of the season, hitting double digits in assists for the second time. While he was responsible for four turnovers, the overall production compensated for that. Williams continues to come off the bench, but he’s still playing good minutes. While Daniel Gafford (9/4/1/1/1 in 17 minutes) continues to start, his persistent right ankle issues open the door for Bagley to provide decent value despite coming off the bench. Since joining the Mavericks, Bagley has averaged 13.5 points and 8.8 rebounds in 23.1 minutes. The combination of lackluster defensive production and poor foul shooting makes Bagley a challenging player to rely on in most fantasy leagues. However, managers punting free-throw percentage may be in a position to stream him later this week, given Dallas’s back-to-back on Thursday and Friday.

Marshall has scored at least 15 points in five straight games, recording 20 or more in two. While his defensive production remains limited, the Mavericks’ wing did dish out seven assists against the Nets. With Cooper Flagg (foot) sidelined, Marshall has a higher ceiling out of necessity. Even if the defensive production isn’t there on most nights, he is worth the risk due to Dallas’ depleted rotation.

Washington hobbled off the court after appearing to sprain his left ankle with just over one minute remaining in the fourth quarter. He’s one of the Mavericks players who have struggled to stay healthy this season, and the most recent injury could cost him some time. Dallas plays three games over the final four days of Week 18, starting with a back-to-back on Thursday and Friday against the Kings and Grizzlies. Playing against the team that was his biggest rival while with the Bucks, Middleton enjoyed his best performance of the season on Sunday. The veteran guard’s 25 points were a season-high and his first with at least 20 since dropping 23 in his first game of the season on October 22. Also of note was Middleton playing 30 minutes for a second straight game; the minutes restriction that limited his value in Washington does not appear to be an issue in Dallas. The only concern for Middleton in Week 18 is that Dallas’ four-game week includes a back-to-back, so he may be limited to three appearances.

Having missed Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves, Christie returned to the starting lineup on Sunday and logged 31 minutes. The percentages, assists and three-pointers were a solid capper to his Week 17, and the good news for Christie managers is that Dallas plays four games in Week 18. After struggling with his shot in Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves, Washington was much better against the Pacers. Gobert was assessed a Flagrant 1 foul for an “unnecessary flail” during Friday’s win over the Mavericks. The NBA announced Saturday that the foul was upheld and thus Gobert has been suspended one game without pay for accruing his seventh flagrant foul point of the regular season. Edwards received 10 of the 14 votes for MVP of the All-Star Game, with Kawhi Leonard receiving the other four. Edwards’ highest-scoring game was the first matchup with Team World, which ended with a Scottie Barnes game-winning triple after Edwards forced overtime with a three-pointer of his own.
