The Athletic’s Jon Krawczynski reported that head coach Chris Finch is starting Ingles because his family is at the game. His son Jacob, who is autistic, sat through an entire game for the first time; the sensory overload of the arena had previously been too much for him. However, Ingles didn’t see the floor. Finch is starting Ingles so that Jacob can see his dad play and start. It’s unclear how much Ingles will play, and he is replacing Mike Conley in the starting lineup. Conley should still see close to his typical workload.

Conley had his best offensive night in over a month, with the 16 points being the most he’s tallied in a game since February 6. The veteran point guard has proven more valuable to the Timberwolves than to fantasy managers on most nights, but he has been a top 100 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. As long as Conley continues to start ahead of Donte DiVincenzo, he can be a fantasy asset down the stretch. DiVincenzo finished Wednesday’s loss with 11 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and two three-pointers in 24 minutes.

Randle shot the ball well on Wednesday but offered limited value in categories outside of points and field goal percentage. He has shot nearly 53 percent from the field over the past two weeks, but the combination of turnovers and limited defensive production has lowered his fantasy ceiling. While Randle will not be a player who provides excellent value in the steals and blocks, he can clean up the turnovers.

On most nights when Edwards records a poor field goal percentage, his three-point shooting disappoints. That was not the case on Wednesday. While Edwards shot 4-of-10 from beyond the arc, he was a putrid 1-of-9 from two. A 15-of-17 night at the foul line salvaged the overall point total, and Ant-Man finished with a complete stat line. He’ll look to clean some things up in Friday’s rematch, which will also be Minnesota’s final game of Week 20.

“Just when I thought I was out...they pulled me back in.” Bitadze has been ineffective since late January, scoring in double figures four times in 23 appearances. While Wednesday was a good night for Bitadze, fantasy managers should not overreact. While Wagner finished with solid numbers in the points, rebound and assist categories, the efficiency left something to be desired. In addition to shooting 8-of-19 from the field, he was responsible for a game-high six turnovers. Wagner has averaged 2.9 miscues per game since the All-Star break, so most fantasy managers won’t be concerned by Wednesday’s tally. Banchero has scored 30 points or more in three of his last four appearances, but a run of three consecutive double-doubles concluded on Wednesday. While he has been a better points league option than categories for most of his career, the Magic star has been a top-30 player in eight-cat formats since the All-Star break. Despite returning to the bench on Monday, DiVincenzo still played 32 minutes in the overtime defeat. The Timberwolves guard has hit double figures in 10 straight games, with the 19 points scored against the Pacers tonight his most since March 2. While Edwards’s point total was good, he did a lot of heavy lifting at the foul line. The Timberwolves star shot 1-of-11 from beyond the arc, torpedoing his overall field goal percentage. Despite Cole Anthony (toe) returning to the lineup, Joseph was able to hold on to his spot as Orlando’s starting point guard. It could be just because it was Anthony’s first game back, but it could certainly be because this is a permanent change. We may have to wait longer to figure that out since Anthony exited early from this game because of the toe injury.
