Alvarado and Williams got into a fight during the third quarter of Saturday’s game, with both players throwing punches. The Pelicans’ point guard was judged to have escalated the altercation, and he has been suspended for two games without pay, while Williams was assessed a one-game ban. Fears didn’t shoot the ball as well as he’s capable of in Saturday’s defeat, but he did match his season-high with the eight assists. Jose Alvarado’s ejection during the third quarter factored into the rookie playing 34 minutes, and there could be a suspension on the way for the Pelicans’ backup. If so, Week 11 would be a good time to roll the dice on Fears, especially with the Pelicans scheduled to play four games.

Williamson once again came off the bench on Saturday, but his playing time once again increased. After logging 28 minutes on Friday, the Pelicans forward played 29 in Saturday’s rematch. Between the playing time and his availability for both games of the back-to-back, there’s a lot for Williamson managers to like heading into Week 11. The question now is when he’ll return to the starting lineup, with Saddiq Bey (17/5/2/2 in 32 minutes) being the player most likely headed to the bench.

Murphy’s six three-pointers were a season-high, and this was his first game with more than two triples since December 2 against the Timberwolves (four). Even with the decrease in three-point production, Murphy has provided fourth-round value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. As long as he remains healthy, the Pelicans forward should remain his team’s most consistent option in fantasy basketball.

Queen has recorded four double-doubles in his last six games, as he continues to offer excellent fantasy value. Zion Williamson’s return to action has not negatively affected the rookie’s fantasy value, due in part to Zion being used in a reserve role. Thompson has made at least four three-pointers in two of his last three outings. However, while he did a good job on the boards as well, this isn’t enough to make the veteran guard much more than a specialist in deep category leagues. For the second straight game, Nembhard was limited to 17 minutes. However, unlike Thursday, the Mavericks did not have Brandon Williams. Naji Marshall (11/2/1/1 with one three-pointer in 26 minutes) replaced the rookie in the lineup to begin the third quarter, and there lies the risk in rostering Nembhard. Even with the move into the starting lineup, he has not consistently played starters’ minutes.

With no Anthony Davis in the Mavericks’ lineup, there will be room for Washington to do a bit more offensively. On Saturday, he took as many shots as Cooper Flagg. While that may not be optimal, that approach does raise Washington’s fantasy ceiling. If he’s on your league’s waiver wire, don’t hesitate to add Washington, especially with the Mavericks playing four games in Week 11.

With Anthony Davis (groin) out, there’s even more room for Flagg to exert his influence on the offensive end of the floor. That may have made Saturday’s performance somewhat disappointing for fantasy managers, even with the rookie scoring 23 points while shooting over 50 percent from the field. Flagg only attempted 13 shots on the day after putting up 21 in each of his two previous outings. That isn’t all on the rookie, of course, but there should not be games in which Max Christie (12 attempts) puts up almost as many shots as Flagg. Dallas opens a four-game Week 11 in New Orleans on Monday.

Saturday’s game is the first for the Mavericks since losing Anthony Davis to a minor groin strain. Gafford moves back into the starting lineup, but his fantasy ceiling will only be affected if he’s able to play more minutes. As a starter, he has averaged 23.1 minutes per game. Moussa Cissé and Dwight Powell will be available to fill out the rotation at the center position. Also of note is Christie moving into the starting lineup, with Naji Marshall being pushed to the bench.

After totaling 13 points on 4-of-12 shooting in Dallas’ Monday/Tuesday back-to-back, Williams rebounded with his best performances of the season. The 26 points were a season-high for the guard, who played 30 minutes off the bench. Starter Ryan Nembhard (four points, one rebound and two assists in 17 minutes) struggled, resulting in more playing time for Williams. Thursday was another example of why it’s challenging to rely on either of the Mavericks point guards in fantasy, although Nembhard’s status as the starter gives him the slight edge.

Washington was back in the Mavericks’ lineup after sitting out Tuesday’s win over the Nuggets, and he made up for lost time with his fourth double-double of the season. All that his stat line was missing on Thursday was a three-pointer, a somewhat surprising development since he averages 1.5 per game on the season. The good news is that Marshall reached double figures for the tenth consecutive game. The bad is that the stat line was meager outside of points and rebounds. And the limited production is why Marshall is ranked just outside the top-100 over the last two weeks. If Anthony Davis (groin) misses time, the Mavericks are going to need even more from Marshall. For that reason, he’s worth holding onto if you’ve been rostering him.
