With Yabusele returning from a sore knee that sidelined him for one game and Mitchell Robinson (ankle) also available, the Knicks will have a complete roster for the first time this season. Thus far, the role of the fifth starter has rotated based on matchups, with Ariel Hukporti (two games), Miles McBride (one) and Landry Shamet (one) all getting a shot. Robinson, who was projected to be a starter before the season began, is ready to make his 2025-26 debut and is expected to start. For his part, Robinson, who has been out with an ankle injury, posted “I’m ready” on his Facebook account, so he’s good to go.

Yabusele, who did not play in Tuesday’s loss to the Bucks, participated in Thursday’s practice. According to SNY’s Ian Begley, the Knicks brought Robinson on their current road trip with the idea that he could play. Friday’s game against the Bulls is the final game of the trip, and Robinson’s ability to practice opens the door for him to be available. Ariel Hukporti has been the fifth starter on nights when the Knicks needed more size, but his playing time remained low. Landry Shamet started Tuesday’s loss to the Bucks, as the Knicks were without Miles McBride (personal).

Scheierman was the 30th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. He has appeared in four games for the Celtics this season, averaging only 8.5 minutes per game. His role may increase as the season goes on and the Celtics adapt to life without Jayson Tatum. For now, he remains off all fantasy radars.

While Boston won the second quarter by a 35-18 margin, Hauser’s shooting late in the first quarter set the stage. The Celtics forward shot 5-of-6 from three in the second quarter, providing excellent value in the two categories he’s expected to. Hauser remains an option for managers needing points and three-pointers, but he will offer minimal category-league value overall.

After falling one rebound shy of a double-double in Monday’s win over the Pelicans, his first start as a Celtic, Minott was even better on the glass against Cleveland. Not only were his 14 rebounds a career-high, but this was also the second time in his career that Minott had reached double digits in that category (February 8, 2023, with the Timberwolves). Hugo González, who was replaced in the lineup by Minott, only played three minutes on Wednesday. Only rostered in three percent of Yahoo! leagues, Minott is providing top-50 fantasy value. That may not last for the entire season, but he’s worth a look in deep leagues with the move into the starting lineup.

For those skeptical about Queta’s play at EuroBasket this summer carrying over into the regular season, he’s performing quite well as the Celtics’ starting center. He held his own against Cleveland’s “twin towers,” grabbing a season-high 13 rebounds and recording his second consecutive double-double. Rostered in 24 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Queta is providing top-75 fantasy value, far exceeding the expectations of most fantasy managers. With the Celtics playing on Friday and Saturday, he’s worthy of consideration in deep leagues.

White struggled with his shot on Wednesday. He made just two of his eight two-point attempts and was 3-of-12 from three. The good news for fantasy managers is that White was perfect at the charity stripe while providing decent value in the rebound and assist categories. Given how well he’s performed in recent years, fantasy managers should consider Wednesday’s performance to be a blip on the radar for White. He’ll look to bounce back when the Celtics visit the 76ers on Friday.

Brown showed no ill effects from his lingering hamstring injury. The Celtics star shot 60 percent from the field and recorded a complete stat line, helping Boston take control of the game during the second quarter and never look back. Unfortunately for those who have Brown rostered, the Celtics have another back-to-back on the horizon, scheduled for Friday (at Philadelphia) and Saturday (vs. Houston). With Miles McBride (personal) unavailable, Shamet moved into the starting lineup on Tuesday. He made good use of his opportunity, shooting 4-of-9 from beyond the arc and joining Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges in double figures. Shamet totaled 12 points and 44 minutes in New York’s first three games, making dismissing Tuesday as an outlier easy. However, if McBride can’t rejoin the team for Friday’s game against the Bulls in Chicago, that could be another matchup in which Mike Brown decides to start Shamet rather than Ariel Hukporti (three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 10 minutes).

Bridges has scored 20 points or more in consecutive games and seems more comfortable with Mike Brown’s offensive system than he did playing for Tom Thibodeau last season. Bridges finished Tuesday’s win with his first double-double of the season and matched his season-high in assists. On a night when Karl-Anthony Towns (8/12/1/2/1) and OG Anunoby (9/6/4/1/1 with one three-pointer) combined for 17 points on 5-of-23 shooting, Brunson did what he could to carry the Knicks offensively. He’s scored 31 points or more in three straight games, shooting 50 percent or better in each. There was an injury scare during the fourth quarter, as Brunson slipped and appeared to tweak his groin on two separate occasions. He did close out the game, but that’s something to be mindful of in the lead-up to the Knicks’ NBA Cup matchup with the Bulls on Friday.

He came off the bench to knock down six three-pointers, shooting nearly 50 percent from downtown to help the Celtics snap a three-game losing streak to open the season. Following Sunday’s loss to the Pistons, Brown said he planned on playing in Monday’s game. However, the Celtics have listed him as questionable on the injury report, with left hamstring strain reconditioning being the reason. While Sunday’s performance was his first this season with at least 20 points, Bridges has gotten off to a much better start than last season. The Knicks wing has shot 50 percent or better in all three games while totaling 16 rebounds, 12 assists, three blocks, five steals and six three-pointers. While he was whistled for five fouls, Towns’ more significant issue on Sunday was his shot. What more does Brown have to do to get the Celtics a win this season? Boston moves to 0-3 on the season despite one of the better performances of Brown’s career. The 29-year-old small forward had 41 points and five threes in the loss to the Pistons.
