While the Warriors announced on Saturday that Moody would be re-evaluated on Tuesday after the team returns home from its road trip, there’s a chance that he plays on Monday. Payton is good to go after sitting out Saturday’s loss to the Hawks. Multiple players experienced slight increases in playing time with GPII unavailable, including Will Richard and LJ Cryer. Look for them to take hits on Monday, but Richard should still get into the mid-to-high 20s in minutes.

Porziņǵis, whose back acted up during Friday’s loss to the Pistons, did not play in Saturday’s loss to the Hawks. Quinten Post, who started in Atlanta, is out for Monday’s game with a foot injury, which should mean a return to the starting lineup for Porziņǵis if available. Williams’ 19 points on Saturday were a season-high for him, and he did it on 8-of-9 shooting from the field. He didn’t offer much beyond the points, and one game does not make a player of Williams’ caliber a must-have on any fantasy roster. That said, it was good to see him take advantage of the opportunity placed in front of him in Atlanta.

Melton had a good night despite the Warriors being on the wrong end of a blowout, recording his second 20-point game in his last four outings. He has provided 10th-round value in eight-cat formats since the All-Star break, shooting 41.4 percent from the field. If Melton can clean up the shooting, he becomes a far more valuable fantasy player. The Warriors play four games in Week 22, starting with the Mavericks on Monday.

Of the three, Green’s status is most important since he’s locked in as a starter. Post could start, as the Warriors won’t have Kristaps Porziņǵis, but a move into the first five would not significantly impact his short-term fantasy prospects. Leons started the second half of Friday’s loss to the Pistons, but he also is not worth the risk in redraft leagues.

On Wednesday, it was reported that Moody was not expected to return during the Warriors’ road trip, which concludes on Monday in Dallas. Josh Hart’s absence with a knee injury meant a spot start for Shamet, but he was unable to take full advantage of the opportunity. The Knicks’ wing played 22 minutes before exiting during the third quarter with a sore right knee, and he did not offer much value before the departure. Questionable for Friday’s game for personal reasons, Towns was the biggest reason why the Knicks avoided what would have been an embarrassing defeat. Six of his game-high 15 rebounds came on the offensive glass, and KAT also led all players in points. Porziņǵis only played 11 minutes on Friday, as lower back soreness banished him to the locker room during the second quarter. While considered questionable to return, Porziņģis never did, as the game got out of hand. Even worse for the Warriors was Malevy Leons (five points, one rebound, one assist, and one three-pointer), who started the third quarter with KP out, leaving during the fourth quarter with a right wrist injury. The Warriors visit the Hawks on Saturday, and they could be even more shorthanded for that one.

Podziemski recorded a complete stat line on Friday, which helps compensate for the 15 points scored. After scoring 25 points in consecutive games, he’s tallied 15 or fewer in each of his last three. Rostered in five percent of Yahoo! leagues, Payton has largely been an afterthought in fantasy basketball this season. However, that should change during these playoff weeks in Yahoo! default leagues. Since the All-Star break, Payton has provided seventh-round value in eight-cat formats, and he’s been a round better in nine-cat. With the Warriors ending Week 21 with a back-to-back, he’s worth a look in deep leagues, having played both ends of the team’s most recent back-to-back on Sunday and Monday.

Playing a game in Boston for the first time since being traded to Atlanta last offseason, Porziņǵis logged 23 minutes on Wednesday. He had a rough night shooting the basketball, but the good news for fantasy managers was that the 7-foot-3 forward/center recorded a complete line. Alvarado moved into the starting lineup with Jalen Brunson (ankle) sidelined for this game and took full advantage of the opportunity. He recorded a double-double for the first time this season and provided his usual dose of steals. Knicks coach Mike Brown said he’d “imagine” Brunson is back to take on the Nets on Friday, so this was likely just a one-game stream for Alvarado, though it’s worth keeping an eye on the injury report. With Jalen Brunson (ankle) sidelined, Hart stepped up on offense with an unreal shooting night. He became the fourth player in franchise history to score at least 30 points while shooting at least 90 percent from the floor, joining Walt Bellamy, Willis Reed and Bernard King.
