While Williams said after Tuesday’s victory that he still hasn’t reached the point where he’s entirely comfortable on the floor, the Thunder forward’s production has improved from game to game. His scoring output has increased every time out, with J-Dub recording his first 20-point stat line in his third game back from offseason wrist surgery. And while he missed all four of his three-point attempts, the percentages from the field and the foul line were encouraging. Williams has attempted only five three-pointers across three games, and that may be the aspect of his offensive game that takes the most time to get back to speed. But he’s clearly on the right track.

Oklahoma City’s win streak hit 13 games on Tuesday, and Holmgren has seven 20-point games during the run. On Tuesday, he shot 66.7 percent from the field and was a steal shy of a complete stat line. Over the past month, he has provided sixth-round value in nine-cat formats. That doesn’t align with Holmgren’s Yahoo! ADP (26), but it’s not like he’s been a disappointment in fantasy basketball. Plus, the skill set is such that he’s capable of going on a run that would get his value closer to preseason expectations.

While the Warriors used increased defensive intensity and various looks to get back into Tuesday’s game, their inability to slow down the reigning MVP was the difference. After Pat Spencer hit a shot with 4:54 remaining to give the Warriors a one-point lead, Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder went on an 8-0 run to take the lead for good, with the MVP responsible for five of those points. Regarding season-long fantasy value, only Nikola Jokić and Victor Wembanyama have been better than SGA, and the latter is currently out with a calf injury.

An adductor injury has sidelined Luguentz Dort, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Mitchell, who has provided solid fantasy value whether he starts or comes off the bench, will fill the void. He should already be rostered in 14-team leagues, and some 12-team leagues as well. The other four starters are unchanged.

Gafford has missed the Mavericks’ last two games, leading to Anthony Davis serving as the starting center in Monday’s win over the Nuggets. Dwight Powell served as Davis’ backup in Denver, and that would likely remain the case if Gafford can’t play against Miami. Powell is not worth the risk in fantasy leagues.

Washington has missed Dallas’ last two games with a sprained right ankle, opening up a place in the starting lineup for Naji Marshall. Marshall has offered solid late-round value this season, due in part to the many injuries that have affected the Mavericks’ rotation. He’s worth holding onto for the time being, even if Washington plays.

The 2025 first-overall selection picked up where he left off following his career-best scoring performance against the Clippers. While he didn’t reach the 30-point mark, Flagg picked his spots and made more than half of his attempts en route to securing his seventh 20-point game of the season. The rookie forward seems to be progressing nicely a quarter of the way through the season. Fantasy managers should expect Flagg to continue playing well as he gets more game experience under his belt.

In the third start of his rookie season, Nembhard once again provided the Mavericks with impact on the offensive end. Efficient shooting led the former Gonzaga Bulldog past the 20-point mark and to a new career-high, as he was one of three Mavericks to score at least 24 points on Monday. Additionally, the rookie guard was as impressive as a playmaker — he dished out double-digit assists, leading to the first double-double of his young NBA career. Nembhard is averaging 17.7 points over his three starts and will likely remain in the opening unit for a Mavericks team that has needed quality point guard play.

Davis reached the 30-point mark for the first time all season on Monday, needing 32 minutes of game action to do so. The scoring outburst against the Nuggets was a drastic improvement from Friday’s 12-point outing against the Lakers, which marked his first game back from a calf injury. Prior to the injury, AD had logged 20-point double-doubles in each of the first four games of the season. He was his usual productive self on the glass, as well, which led to his fifth double-double of the season. As his minutes start to pick back up, there’s no reason to believe Davis won’t continue to put up big numbers.

Dort is recovering from a strained right adductor, with Tuesday’s game being the first that he’ll miss since November 12. Ajay Mitchell was his replacement in the starting lineup on that night, and he may receive the starting nod again on Tuesday. If so, Mitchell will be worth holding onto in some 12-team leagues.

Williams is available after initially being questionable for Monday’s game. His ability to play likely means D’Angelo Russell will be out of the rotation. The veteran point guard picked up DNP-CDs in the Mavericks’ last two games, so there’s no reason to keep him rostered in fantasy leagues.

Initially questionable for Monday night, Washington will miss a second straight game after spraining his right ankle just before Saturday’s win over the Clippers. SGA wasn’t able to keep his 35-point streak going, but he was able to do enough to help the Thunder extend their winning streak to 12 games. Mitchell exited early from Friday’s game with a knee contusion, but that didn’t hold him out of this game. In fact, it didn’t do much to limit his production. Aside from Friday’s game, when he exited after just four minutes, Mitchell has scored in double figures in all but one game. It’s early, but Mitchell has a strong case to win Sixth Man of the Year at this point, which is a huge development for a second-round pick in his second season.

Portland played this game without Donovan Clingan (illness), and they didn’t replace him with a traditional center. That made Holmgren the biggest player in either starting lineup, but he wasn’t able to truly dominate the glass. He led Oklahoma City in rebounding, and each team finished with exactly 49 boards, but this was an opportunity for Holmgren to have a big rebounding night. Still, he was able to turn in a full stat line. With Isaiah Hartenstein sidelined for at least a few games, Holmgren will need to control the glass.

Ryan Nembhard (8/1/3 with two three-pointers) once again served as the starting point guard, but Williams played more minutes. He logged 26 to Nembhard’s 21, with the seven assists being the most in a game for Williams since November 12 against the Pelicans. The perimeter shot remains a work in progress, but Williams is worth keeping an eye on, given how unpredictable the Mavericks’ point guard rotation has been.

Marshall was supposed to begin Saturday’s game on the bench. But an ankle injury to P.J. Washington during pregame warmups forced Marshall to start, and he was productive in his 37 minutes. Due to injuries, he has been a more valuable player to fantasy managers than anyone anticipated before the season began. However, Marshall’s value hinges on the availability of Mavericks higher in the offensive pecking order. Dallas opens a four-game Week 7 in Denver on Monday, so keep Marshall in mind if Washington can’t play.

Cooper Flagg wasn’t the only Maverick to record a season-high point total on Saturday. Thompson went off in the second half, shooting 6-of-8 from beyond the arc, and finished with a season-high 23 points. He’s mainly a points and three-pointers option for fantasy managers, and Thompson has started to come good on those expectations after a slow start. Of course, his role proved more prominent than expected, thanks to injuries to Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. Thompson will look to build on this performance when the Mavs open a four-game Week 7 in Denver on Monday.

Flagg was rolling on Saturday, scoring 21 points in the first half. The Clippers couldn’t come up with an answer for the rookie, who finished with his first 30-point game. Flagg was efficient offensively, shooting 13-of-19 from inside the arc, becoming the youngest player in league history to score at least 35 points in a game. A sixth-round player in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks, his season-long value has cracked the top-100. It will be fun to watch Flagg’s progression, as he has already made strides over the season’s first month. The Mavericks play four games in Week 7, starting with the Nuggets on Monday.

Caruso’s fantasy production hasn’t replicated how effective he is on the floor, but his second-highest minutes total of the year (24) allowed him to have a decent night in this one. Nembhard’s first NBA start didn’t result in a victory, but the Mavericks had to be encouraged by what they saw. The rookie seemed to have a good rapport with Anthony Davis and was efficient in his 23 minutes on the floor. With Nembhard starting, Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd called on Brandon Williams (11/2/3/1 with one three-pointer) to take on the backup point guard duties. Nembhard returned from a knee injury on Monday after missing five games, and the rookie did not take long to make a positive impression on Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd. While he did not shoot well in the fourth quarter of Monday’s loss to the Heat, going 1-of-6 from the field, the rookie played 11 minutes and dished out three assists.
