As expected, Young has been upgraded from probable to available for Tuesday’s 7/8 Play-In tournament matchup. He’ll occupy his usual role within the Hawks’ starting lineup. The winner of Tuesday’s game will face Boston in the first round, with Game 1 scheduled for Sunday. The loser will host the winner of Wednesday’s matchup between Miami and Chicago on Friday for the eighth seed in the East.

Even in the postseason, Atlanta is still listing Young as probable ahead of every game. There isn’t a chance that he sits out, so expect him to occupy his typical spot in the starting unit in the 7/8 matchup, with a chance to play the Celtics in the first round on the line.

Mann was one of the few veterans that played on Sunday, and he was able to do more scoring than he typically does for the shorthanded Hawks. He scored 14 points in the third quarter and matched his highest-scoring performance as a Hawk. Mann will play a large reserve role for Atlanta during the postseason, but his role doesn’t typically ask him to score as much as he did in this game. Still, Mann will be an important piece for the Hawks as they try to survive the Play-In Tournament.

Isaac only played 19 minutes in his first start of the season, but that was enough time for him to record his first double-double since January. Isaac has averaged 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and three blocks while playing 19 minutes across Orlando’s last two games. Injuries have plagued his career, but he’s an elite defender when healthy. Isaac could play a pivotal role for the Magic during the postseason.

Black’s second year in the league has been better than his first, and he was able to close out the regular season on a high note. After scoring 21 points on Friday, Black added a 20-point double-double in this game, which was the first double-double of his career. The 21-year-old should be an important rotation piece for Orlando during the postseason, but we won’t see lines like this from him in the playoffs. Still, the 2023 No. 6 overall pick still has plenty of upside.

Game 82 always provides some fun stat lines, and that was the case in Atlanta on Sunday. Wallace recorded the first triple-double of his career and posted career highs in assists, rebounds and steals. Wallace has had some strong games this season when Trae Young is sidelined, which was the case once again on Sunday. The two-way guard likely won’t see the floor in the postseason, but it was good to see him take advantage of the opportunity in this game.

Risacher and Gueye started Sunday’s game but did not see any action during the second quarter. Neither player returned for the start of the third, and their respective regular seasons have concluded. Both will be available for Wednesday’s play-in tournament matchup with Orlando. Risacher finished with six points, two rebounds, one block and two three-pointers in 10 minutes, with Gueye tallying three points, four rebounds and one three-pointer in seven minutes. Jacob Toppin and Vit Krejci started the third quarter.

The Hawks and Magic will meet again in Orlando in a play-in tournament matchup, and Sunday’s result will not change that. Wallace, Mann and Barlow move into the starting five, filling in for Trae Young, Dyson Daniels and Onyeka Okongwu. Also, don’t expect Risacher to take on a full starters’ workload ahead of Tuesday’s rematch.

The only starter that will be the same as Friday is da Silva. KCP and WCJ sat on Friday but will surprisingly suit up in the inconsequential season finale. With a Play-In matchup with the Hawks coming in just a couple days, it’s unclear how much KCP and WCJ will play. Black will replace the injured Cory Joseph in the starting lineup, with Isaac getting his first start of the season. Gary Harris, Caleb Houstan and Goga Bitadze will come off the bench after starting on Friday, though Houstan and Bitadze should still play significant roles.

Joseph will not play in Sunday’s regular season finale, as the Magic will host the Hawks in a play-in tournament matchup on Tuesday. Anthony Black will replace the veteran guard in the starting lineup, and he’s worth the risk in active deep leagues. He may not be a consistent shooter, but Black can rack up some steals against a Hawks lineup that will lack its top three players (Trae Young, Onyeka Okongwu and Dyson Daniels).

With the Hawks locked into the eighth seed in the East regardless of Sunday’s results, the team’s three most important players will sit. Okongwu joins Trae Young and Dyson Daniels on the sidelines. With four starters sidelined and the fifth, Cory Joseph, only playing six minutes, Black played plenty on Friday. While the points, rebounds, assists and steals were solid, the second-year point guard was also responsible for five turnovers. Black will be in Orlando’s postseason contention, but the last two games should mean more opportunities for him to play with the ball in his hands. The Magic are guaranteed the seventh seed in the East, meaning they’ll host the 7 vs. 8 play-in game early next week. As a result, four starters did not play on Friday, and Cory Joseph only logged six minutes. The absences meant more opportunities for Queen, and the two-way contract guard took advantage. Isaac entered the season with an incentive worth $2.6 million if he could appear in 70 games. Given the Magic forward’s injury history, few expected him to meet the number. Isaac did so on Friday, with the 70 games being the most in a season since the 2018-19 campaign. What a night it was for LeVert. He entered halftime with 18 points while shooting a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor and ended up setting a new season-high for scoring. He combined with fellow reserve Georges Niang to provide 47 points and eight triples off the bench, which helped Atlanta overcome a halftime deficit. Gueye’s role has been inconsistent for Atlanta this season, even as a starter for the past two months. However, this was one of the best performances of his career. He provided value across the board and demolished his previous career-high of 12 rebounds, which he reached twice this season. Gueye, who is only 22 years old, should continue to start in the postseason for Atlanta, though Quin Snyder won’t hesitate to turn to his veterans off the bench earlier on. LeVert was one of three Hawks to score at least 21 points in Sunday’s victory, and seven reached double figures. That tends to happen when facing the team with the league’s worst defense.
