Sunday’s game is the last Orlando will play on its current road trip, so more should be learned about the severity of Banchero’s injury and how much more time he’ll miss early next week. As for who steps in to fill the void, that will once again be Tristan da Silva. The second-year forward was productive in Friday’s win over the Nets and should be rostered until Banchero returns.

He played 32 minutes and had his best offensive performance of the season, which included a clutch triple with less than two minutes left to get Orlando within a point. It’s unclear how long Banchero will be sidelined, but if he remains out, da Silva should be worth streaming. He’s currently available in 96 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Turnovers aside, Suggs had a productive night against Brooklyn, but what is most encouraging is the minutes. He logged 28 minutes and has played at least 25 minutes in each of his last three games. Considering he had been limited to roughly 20 minutes prior to that, he’s clearly getting closer to being at full strength. That doesn’t mean he’s going to play back-to-backs, but this is a positive development for Suggs.

Bane entered this game having scored exactly 22 points in three of his last four games, and while he wasn’t able to match that mark again, he was still able to have a solid night. What is even more encouraging is that he continues to play big minutes and get plenty of shots. His 18 shots matched his second-most attempts in a game this season, and his 40 minutes were a season-best. Especially if Paolo Banchero (groin) remains out, Bane will continue to play a larger role on offense, which should help him get back to producing how he did in Memphis.

Wagner was excellent last season when Paolo Banchero was unavailable, and that continued on Friday, with Banchero sidelined with a groin injury. Wagner turned in a strong line and came up big late; he knocked down back-to-back triples with less than two minutes left in the game to move the Magic from down one point to up five. Wagner has been solid all season, but if Banchero misses more time, Wagner will continue to produce like a fantasy star.

In his own words after the game on Friday, Banchero said that he believed he avoided a serious injury, and the MRI results would back that up. While a groin strain is not great news, it’s far better than there being any sort of tear. The Magic can afford to hold Banchero out against the lowly Nets and then he will “be evaluated daily moving forward.” That means he could return on Sunday against the Rockets or, more likely, sometime next week. In the meantime, Franz Wagner will see a bigger role in the office, and Anthony Black should get more minutes off the bench.

Banchero said he hurt his groin when he leapt for a rebound and then tried to accelerate quickly. He felt soreness on a couple of trips up and down the court and decided to remove himself from the game before it got worse. “This (groin injury), I can still do movements. There just was a pain there. (Trainers) said if it was torn or anything, I wouldn’t be able to do anything. So, that’s encouraging.” The Magic have no timeline for Banchero’s injury as of yet, but they will have a better idea after the 23-year-old undergoes imaging.

Back on the bench after starting Monday’s win over Portland for the then-absent Jalen Suggs, Black stepped up with one of his best performances of the season Wednesday night. The 17 points are the most he’s scored in a game since October 30, when he dropped a season-high 20 on the Bulls. With Black being his usual annoying self on the defensive end, he helped limit the Knicks to 44.3 percent shooting. However, good showing aside, Black is a player most valuable to fantasy managers on nights when Suggs (14/2/3/1/1 with one three-pointer) is unavailable.

At this rate, Bane’s game-winning shot against Portland on Monday may be what fantasy managers look back on as the turning point in his season. Two nights removed from that much-needed event, Bane scored another 22 points on Wednesday while also dishing out eight assists. Over the past week, he has been a sixth-round player in nine-cat formats. While that doesn’t align with his Yahoo! ADP (45), Bane is headed in the right direction.

Still, he was productive in his time on the floor, scoring efficiently from both inside and outside the arc while tallying more rebounds and assists than his season averages entering Wednesday’s contest. A more competitive game on Sunday against the Clippers could lead to a more typical scoring performance from Brown.

Pritchard bounced back from a couple of inefficient five-point performances by tallying his second-highest scoring total of the season. The veteran guard matched his season-high in threes during his 30 minutes of game action and came up just one assist shy of his third double-double this season. Pritchard had been playing very well during November up until the two previous games. With a strong showing against Memphis, he seems to be back on track.

Jonathan Isaac replaced the Magic forward in the lineup to begin the third quarter, and he may be thrust into a starting role if Banchero misses time. Depending on how many minutes he’s allowed to play, Isaac could be worth a look in deep leagues. Banchero finished with four points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot.

All due respect to the Pelicans, but putting up an efficient 25 points on the Magic is a different matter. Over his last three games, Simons is shooting 19-of-37 from the field, and as a result, his season percentage is approaching 44 percent. His overall fantasy value remains low, but this three-game stretch was much-needed for Simons as he looks to establish himself in Boston. The Celtics begin a three-game Week 4 in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Queta became the first player in franchise history to record at least 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists while not missing a shot from the field in a game. Only one of Boston’s five starters, Josh Minott, surpassed 30 minutes on Wednesday. Brown only played 26 and was outstanding, shooting well over 50 percent from the field. And he made some history, becoming the first player in Celtics history to record at least 35 points, five rebounds and five assists in less than 30 minutes of play. Brown did not play at all during the fourth quarter, getting some valuable rest ahead of Friday’s game against the Magic.
