Wagner struggled with his shot on Tuesday but contributed in other ways as Orlando earned the seventh seed in the East. The 13 rebounds were the most he’s grabbed in a game this season, and the Magic wing only hit double figures in that category twice before Tuesday. Add in the assists and steals; all wasn’t lost for DFS players who slotted Wagner into their lineups. That said, Wagner will need to be much better if the Magic are to have any chance of knocking off the Celtics in the first round.

Carter was excellent on Tuesday, and the time off that comes with earning the seventh seed should benefit him. The Magic center rolled his right ankle during the first half and banged knees with a Hawks defender during the third quarter. The good news is that neither injury forced Carter out of Tuesday’s game immediately, and Orlando pulling away during the fourth quarter got him a little more time on the bench late. The Magic don’t play Boston in Game 1 of their first-round series until Sunday, which should help Carter regain strength.

Orlando’s starting backcourt of Cory Joseph and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope combined to score 14 points on 4-of-14 shooting from the field. Black was one of two reserves to pick up the slack, combining with Cole Anthony to score 42 points on 16-of-24 shooting. The second-year guard scored 41 points in Orlando’s final two regular-season games, likely boosting his confidence ahead of the Play-In tournament. Tuesday’s victory means Black and the Magic will be the seventh seed in the East, and they’ll face the reigning champion Celtics in the first round. Game 1 is set for Sunday in Boston.

On a night when starting guards Cory Joseph (5/5/2 with one three-pointer) and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (nine points, two assists, one block and one three-pointer) combined to shoot 4-of-14 from the field, the Magic received vital contributions from both “Anthonys.” Cole shot well over 50 percent from the field in scoring his 26 points. His highlights included a 4-of-6 fourth quarter in which he made three three-pointers. Anthony Black also had a big night off the bench, but Cole is the more capable scorer. He’ll need to play to this level consistently if the Magic are to have a chance of upsetting Boston in the first round. Game 1 will be on Sunday.

Isaac only played 19 minutes in his first start of the season, but that was enough time for him to record his first double-double since January. Isaac has averaged 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and three blocks while playing 19 minutes across Orlando’s last two games. Injuries have plagued his career, but he’s an elite defender when healthy. Isaac could play a pivotal role for the Magic during the postseason.

Black’s second year in the league has been better than his first, and he was able to close out the regular season on a high note. After scoring 21 points on Friday, Black added a 20-point double-double in this game, which was the first double-double of his career. The 21-year-old should be an important rotation piece for Orlando during the postseason, but we won’t see lines like this from him in the playoffs. Still, the 2023 No. 6 overall pick still has plenty of upside.

It wasn’t surprising to see Pritchard thrive with the keys to the offense in the Celtics’ final game of the season. He finished the regular season scoring at least 20 points in three of his final five games. His role will likely diminish come playoff time, though. The only starter that will be the same as Friday is da Silva. KCP and WCJ sat on Friday but will surprisingly suit up in the inconsequential season finale. With a Play-In matchup with the Hawks coming in just a couple days, it’s unclear how much KCP and WCJ will play. Black will replace the injured Cory Joseph in the starting lineup, with Isaac getting his first start of the season. Gary Harris, Caleb Houstan and Goga Bitadze will come off the bench after starting on Friday, though Houstan and Bitadze should still play significant roles.

Joseph will not play in Sunday’s regular season finale, as the Magic will host the Hawks in a play-in tournament matchup on Tuesday. Anthony Black will replace the veteran guard in the starting lineup, and he’s worth the risk in active deep leagues. He may not be a consistent shooter, but Black can rack up some steals against a Hawks lineup that will lack its top three players (Trae Young, Onyeka Okongwu and Dyson Daniels).

There’s nothing on the line for the Celtics on Sunday, as they have already secured the two-seed in the Eastern Conference. White and Holiday will get the day off to rest for the playoffs. Boston is locked into the two-seed in the East, so there’s no reason for the team’s core players to see action in Sunday’s regular-season finale. Brown and Tatum are among the absentees, with the former’s status being more concerning. Brown has received pain management injections in his right knee, but the expectation is that he’ll be good to go for the playoffs. Tatum is simply resting on Sunday. Sam Hauser and Baylor Scheierman will play rotation minutes against the Hornets.

He’ll have nearly two weeks between his final regular-season appearance and Game 1 of their first-round series, which will be against either the Magic or Hawks. The 27-year-old small forward was feeling it from behind the three-point line as he made six three-pointers on his way to a 20-point game. Pritchard played 22 minutes off the bench as the Celtics won by 36 points Friday against the Hornets. The 27-year-old point guard, potentially in line for the Sixth Man of the Year award, was efficient with 22 points on 11 shots and four made three-pointers. With four starters sidelined and the fifth, Cory Joseph, only playing six minutes, Black played plenty on Friday. While the points, rebounds, assists and steals were solid, the second-year point guard was also responsible for five turnovers. Black will be in Orlando’s postseason contention, but the last two games should mean more opportunities for him to play with the ball in his hands. The Magic are guaranteed the seventh seed in the East, meaning they’ll host the 7 vs. 8 play-in game early next week. As a result, four starters did not play on Friday, and Cory Joseph only logged six minutes. The absences meant more opportunities for Queen, and the two-way contract guard took advantage. Isaac entered the season with an incentive worth $2.6 million if he could appear in 70 games. Given the Magic forward’s injury history, few expected him to meet the number. As has been the case on numerous occasions this season, Pritchard is more valuable to fantasy managers when the Celtics are down at least one starter. For fantasy managers whose leagues ended with Week 22, White capped an excellent season with another quality effort. However, for those whose leagues run through Week 23, it’s fair to wonder how much they’ll see of the Celtics guard. Boston would need to win out while having Cleveland lose each of its final four games to claim the top seed in the East. If the Celtics make White available for all four games, he’ll continue to provide excellent fantasy value. White provided excellent value rebounds, assists and three-pointers as the Celtics took care of the Suns. Over the past two weeks, he has provided top-50 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. The lone concern for fantasy managers who have White rostered is Sunday’s game against the Wizards, as that could be seen as an opportunity to give him a night off. While Tatum had a rough night from three, shooting 1-of-8, he was 8-of-10 from two, with six of those makes occurring in the restricted area. The result was a 50 percent night from the field and a complete stat line for Tatum, who has been close to a top-25 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. Initially questionable for Friday’s game with a knee injury, Brown looked healthy against the Suns. He shot 6-of-10 from the field in the first half, setting the tone in a game where the reigning champs won all four quarters. Over the past two weeks, Brown has only been an eighth-round player in eight-cat formats, due mainly to his limited defensive production. Caldwell-Pope is on a heater from deep, having shot 10-of-12 from beyond the arc in his last two games. Tuesday’s three-point tally of seven was a season-high, surpassing the six he made in a November 27 win over the Bulls. The issue is that Caldwell-Pope does not provide much value outside of points and three-pointers; he’s a liability in fantasy leagues when those shots aren’t falling. Sidelined for nine of Orlando’s last 10 games with a toe injury, Anthony returned to the rotation on Tuesday. He was used in a reserve role, as the team is taking a cautious approach after an aggravation of the initial toe injury sidelined Anthony for seven of those nine games. He filled the stat sheet, but those who have him rostered took a hit in the field goal percentage category. Anthony’s return meant fewer minutes for Cory Joseph (6/2/1 with two three-pointers) and Anthony Black (4/2/3/3), who played 18 and 20 minutes, respectively. The Magic play their final game of Week 22 in Washington on Thursday, so managers who have any of these guards rostered will want to free up that roster spot for the weekend.
