This isn’t exactly an optimistic update on Kuminga after he has already missed over two months. Gui Santos and Kevin Knox have filled out backup minutes at the forward spots, but neither has played a significant role. Nothing has changed regarding Anthony’s status for Thursday’s game against the Bulls; he remains questionable. However, the Magic point guard’s presence at the shootaround is a positive. He’ll do more shooting before a decision is made regarding his availability. Anthony isn’t the most attractive fantasy option, but Jalen Suggs’ season-ending knee surgery makes him worth the risk in deep leagues.

With Cole Anthony sidelined, many were expecting Anthony Black to move into the starting lineup, but Joseph got his first starting nod since 2022. Joseph didn’t contribute much in his 26 minutes, and Anthony Black wasn’t able to do much in his 15 minutes, as he finished with five points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal. None of these three guards have been viable replacements for Jalen Suggs, who underwent season-ending surgery. Managers will likely have to look outside of Orlando for the best replacement for Suggs.

Banchero turned a lot of his weaknesses into strengths on Tuesday. Poor shooting percentages, an abundance of turnovers and a lack of defensive production have all limited Banchero’s value in nine-cat leagues, but that wasn’t the case on Tuesday. He set a new season-high for steals, shot the ball incredibly well and only had three turnovers. Managers shouldn’t expect this type of production from Banchero often, but it was a nice bonus in this game, and he hit some big shots down the stretch that nearly gave the Magic the win. They have two more games this week, with a home matchup against Chicago on Thursday up next.

Though Wagner was able to extend his streak of 25-point games to three, he wasn’t able to do enough to end Orlando’s losing streak, which now sits at four games. Unfortunately, Wagner wasn’t able to provide much else outside of points on Tuesday, which has been an issue for him since he returned from his extended absence. Sharing the court with Paolo Banchero certainly limits Wagner’s usage, and he hasn’t been able to contribute as many rebounds, assists and steals as he did earlier in the season. He was a fantasy superstar to start the year, but he has regressed back to being a mid-round player over the past month.

The Warriors are now 9-1 with Jimmy Butler on the court, as his presence on the offensive end gives the team an element it sorely needs. While the stat line wasn’t robust, he has provided top 100 value in eight- and nine-cat formats as a Warrior. He may not be the “elite” Butler that some fantasy managers grew accustomed to, but at least they’re receiving value, which wasn’t the case before the trade.

While the Warriors have benefitted immensely from the addition of Jimmy Butler, he’s done wonders for Podziemski’s fantasy value. Since the All-Star break, the second-year guard has been a seventh-round player in nine-cat formats. Podziemski shot 50 percent from the field and finished one blocked shot shy of a complete line on Tuesday. He has reached double figures in five of his last seven appearances, providing reliable fantasy production as part of the starting lineup.

Curry has made Madison Square Garden his personal playground throughout his career, and Tuesday night was no different. Moving to 12-1 as a pro (13-1 if you count the game he played during his final season at Davidson), the Warriors superstar led the way offensively with 28 points and nine assists, throwing in seven boards and two steals for good measure. During the first quarter, Curry appeared to tweak the right ankle he injured on Monday, stepping on the foot of a courtside fan. Thankfully, he did not have to leave the game and played an impactful 33 minutes. The Warriors end their road trip in Brooklyn on Thursday before hosting the Pistons two nights later.

Payton is set to miss Tuesday’s game against the Knicks with a nasal bone contusion. The 32-year-old shooting guard doesn’t typically have much fantasy value, though he might’ve been in line for a bigger role Tuesday with Stephen Curry (ankle) questionable.

Curry tweaked his right ankle in Monday’s game against the Hornets. The 36-year-old point guard told reporters he thinks he’ll play Tuesday against the Knicks, but won’t if his ankle says he shouldn’t play. Podziemski finished Monday’s victory with his second double-double since the All-Star break, and a return to the starting lineup has boosted his fantasy value. Since February 13, the second-year guard has averaged 14.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.7 blocks and 1.9 three-pointers per game. Those numbers have been good for top-75 value in eight-cat formats, far exceeding Podziemski’s production for the season as a whole. He’s rostered in 67 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and that percentage should increase with the Warriors playing three more games during Week 18.

To say Hield needed a night like Monday would be accurate. In the two games prior, he scored nine points on 4-of-14 shooting and has been inconsistent since the All-Star break. Monday’s performance is a step in the right direction, but coming off the bench does limit Hield’s fantasy upside. For the first time this season, Curry has recorded double-doubles in consecutive games. The Warriors guard had a relatively quiet scoring night by his standards, but fantasy managers should benefit from the ten assists. Since the All-Star break, Curry has provided top-5 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats. The next stop on the Warriors’ road trip is New York, where they’ll play the Knicks on Tuesday. After missing Saturday’s loss to the 76ers with a mid-back strain, Butler returned to the Warriors’ lineup Monday night. Wagner had an opportunity to send Sunday’s game into overtime but failed to convert a layup in the final seconds. This was a rough ending for the Magic forward, who finished with another respectable stat line. Since the All-Star break, Wagner has provided sixth-round value in eight-cat formats. While that doesn’t align with his hot start to the season, he remains a top-30 player in eight- and nine-cat formats overall. Wagner will look to redeem himself when the Magic host Toronto again on Tuesday.

Banchero only attempted nine shots on Sunday, but that’s because he made a living at the foul line. He’s attempted at least eight free throws in every game the Magic have played since the All-Star break, hitting double digits on three occasions. GP2’s impact usually doesn’t show up in the box score, but he played well against Philadelphia. Six of his 15 points came in the final seven minutes of the game to help Golden State keep the game close in the fourth quarter, though they weren’t able to secure the win. The encore to Curry’s 56-point explosion on Thursday was a strong double-double, though it wasn’t enough to extend Golden State’s winning streak with Jimmy Butler (back) out of the lineup. Still, Curry was able to set a new season-high for assists and record his seventh double-double of the season and his first since January. After replacing Moses Moody in the starting lineup in the second half on Thursday, Post got the starting nod on Saturday, though it was in place of Jimmy Butler, who was sidelined with a back injury. Post took advantage of the opportunity and was Golden State’s second-leading scorer for a second straight game. Per usual, Wagner and Paolo Banchero were the main sources of offense for Orlando. They combined to score 68 of Orlando’s 115 points, which wasn’t enough to counter Stephen Curry’s 56 points. Wagner has had a spectacular season, though he has been quieter in recent weeks. That can likely be attributed to sharing the ball and court with Banchero. Golden State didn’t have an answer for Banchero early on in this game, which allowed him to score 24 points in the first half alone. Banchero wasn’t quite able to match his first half scoring total after the break, but he was able to get over 40 points for the second time this season and the first time since October. Banchero also shot a high percentage from the floor, which was great to see after he went eight straight games making less than 50 percent of his shot attempts. He’ll look to keep this going into Orlando’s final game of the week, which is a home matchup with Toronto on Sunday.

This was an uncharacteristically quiet performance for Butler, though it was his second in a row. He only had six points on Tuesday, though that can be attributed to it coming in a blowout win where he only played 28 minutes. This low-scoring outing was partially because he shot poorly, partially because Stephen Curry carried the offensive load with 56 points. Butler clearly isn’t going to force the issue when he doesn’t need to. He should be more productive in Philadelphia on Saturday.

Steph didn’t get much help in this game, but he really didn’t need it. Curry scored nearly half of Golden State’s points to help them win their fifth straight game. He set a new season-high for both points and three-pointers, and this ended up as the fourth-highest scoring game of his legendary career. This was the third time in Curry’s career that he hit at least 12 three-pointers in a game, which puts him in a tie with Klay Thompson for the most such games. Curry was quiet in Tuesday’s win, which can mostly be attributed to the blowout keeping his minutes down. However, he has scored at least 25 points in eight of the Warriors’ last 10 games.
