George practiced on Wednesday and is considered questionable for Friday’s matchup with the Nets. If he can play, Dominick Barlow is the player most likely headed to the bench. And with Trendon Watford (adductor) out for at least two weeks, the 76ers could really use an infusion of depth at the forward positions.

Embiid, who has missed Philadelphia’s last eight games, was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice. Edgecombe participated in Wednesday’s practice, but he still has not reached the point where he can play in games. Quentin Grimes has been his replacement in the starting lineup, and he should already be rostered in 14-team leagues. Bona is closing in on a return after missing the last five games with a sprained right ankle. His return would give the 76ers additional depth at the center position, especially with Joel Embiid (knee) sidelined. However, there isn’t much to gain from rostering Bona as long as Andre Drummond is healthy. He’ll continue to start for Embiid, absorbing most of the available minutes.

Walter was replaced in the starting lineup by Collin Murray-Boyles (zero points and one rebound in eight minutes), but the change did not have a negative impact on his playing time. Walter, who replaced CMB in the lineup to begin the third quarter, played a season-high 32 minutes. While he isn’t a must-roster player, injuries to RJ Barrett and Gradey Dick add some appeal to Walter in deep leagues, especially with one of Toronto’s final two games of Week 6 being against the struggling Hornets.

For just the second time in his last seven games, Barnes scored at least 20 points. However, he has remained a highly valuable option in fantasy leagues, even with a slight dip in scoring. Over the past two weeks, Barnes has been a top-15 player in eight- and nine-cat formats, which aligns with his season-long value. The Raptors end Week 6 with a back-to-back against the Hornets and Knicks on Saturday and Sunday. The matchup with Charlotte should be an especially good one for Barnes.

With the Pistons losing to Boston on Wednesday, Toronto’s nine-game win streak is the longest in the Eastern Conference. They’ve got Ingram to thank for their most recent victory, as his shot with six-tenths of a second remaining was the difference. He’s scored at least 22 points in five of his last six games and has been a top-50 player in eight-cat formats. As long as Ingram remains healthy, fantasy managers should receive excellent value moving forward.

Gradey fell hard on his back late in the first quarter, forcing his head to snap back and hit the court. After some time in the bench area just before the start of the second, he went back to the locker room to be evaluated, and the Raptors have ruled Gradey out for the rest of the night. Barrett sustained a right knee sprain in Sunday’s win over Brooklyn before sitting out Monday’s win over Cleveland. His timeline means Barrett will miss at least four games, though he could be forced to sit out additional games beyond that, depending on his recovery. Ja’Kobe Walter started on Monday, though he did little with his 24 minutes. Jamal Shead logged 24 minutes off the bench, and he should see an uptick in playing time for as long as Barrett is out. One game removed from scoring a season-high 15 points against the Heat, McCain matched that number on Tuesday. It wasn’t enough to help the 76ers remain competitive, but it was another step in the right direction for the second-year guard. Quentin Grimes (eight points, three rebounds and four assists), who made another start for the injured Kelly Oubre Jr., shot 1-of-9 from the field on Tuesday. He remains a superior fantasy option to McCain, but Jared’s recent production should not be overlooked.

The 76ers were outscored in the second quarter by a 51-25 margin, putting Tuesday’s NBA Cup matchup out of reach. If there was a silver lining for Philadelphia, it’s that they were able to get Maxey some extra rest, even though he still played 32 minutes. With Joel Embiid and Paul George dealing with injuries, the 76ers have needed even more from Maxey, and he’s answered the call on most nights.
