Beal had missed the last eight games for the Suns, while O’Neale had only missed one game. Collin Gillespie had been starting in place of Beal, but with Kevin Durant (ankle) sidelined, he may remain in the starting lineup. Grayson Allen started in the Suns’ last game and had a season-high 23 points. Beal should start, with Gillespie, Allen and O’Neale all potentially filling the final open starting spot. The two that are left out should play a large role off the bench.

Beal has missed Phoenix’s last eight games, last seeing action March 16 against the Lakers. His return would coincide with Kevin Durant’s continued absence, with KD set to miss a few more games with a sprained ankle. Grayson Allen replaced Durant in the lineup for Tuesday’s loss to the Bucks and was productive, scoring 23 points. He and Collin Gillespie will see their playing time take a hit if Beal is cleared to play on Friday.

O’Neale was a late addition to the Suns’ injury report for Tuesday’s game in Milwaukee, which he was ultimately ruled out of. His return to practice is a step in the right direction, as the Suns are already without Kevin Durant (ankle). Brown returned to the starting lineup after sitting out Monday’s game against the Grizzlies with a knee injury. The 28-year-old small forward wasn’t efficient with 24 points on 20 shots, but also contributed nine rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes. The Celtics aren’t likely to push things with heavy minutes for Brown at this point in the season given his knee issue, but he can still be counted on when available. This was Gillespie’s eighth-straight game in the starting lineup, and after scoring just three points on Sunday, he was more effective on Tuesday, though the result was the same. Phoenix dropped a fourth-straight game despite Gillespie having a better night. He did most of his work in the first half, scoring 11 points before the break. As long as Bradley Beal (hamstring) remains sidelined, Gillespie should remain in the starting unit, though his production has been inconsistent, making him a difficult player to rely on.

With both Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal unavailable, Booker shouldered the offensive workload for Phoenix in this game. This was his highest-scoring double-double since he went off for 47 points and 11 assists in a win over the Jazz in early February. With Durant still expected to miss a few more games and Beal’s status unknown, Booker will continue to provide a ridiculous amount of points and assists. Unfortunately, their next four games are against the Celtics, Knicks, Warriors and Thunder, which means no easy matchups for Booker to feast on. The Suns currently sit 1.5 games out of the Play-In Tournament.

Allen got the starting nod with Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal and Royce O’Neale all sidelined against Milwaukee. He took advantage of the extra minutes, especially in the second half. 17 of his 23 points and five of his six three-pointers came after halftime, though it wasn’t enough for Phoenix to get the win. Beal has been out for a couple weeks, and Durant is set to miss a few more games, so Allen could certainly remain in the starting unit and play like he did last season. For the second-straight game, Tatum was able to turn in a 20-point double-double in a double-digit win on the road. In fact, the Celtics completed a six-game road trip against Western Conference opponents and won each game by double digits. They’ve now won nine in a row and 14 of their last 15 games, with Tatum scoring at least 20 points in 10 straight games. The occasional rest night has been the only limitation for Tatum, and he has sat out four games in March. He’ll look to keep the production up against the Heat on Wednesday.

Despite a rough shooting night from White, he was able to turn in a well-rounded stat line and nearly record a triple-double. Oddly enough, this was White’s second consecutive game shooting exactly 4-of-13 from the floor and finishing with eight rebounds and three three-pointers. The difference on Monday was that he was able to reach double digit assists for the third time this season. With Jaylen Brown sidelined, Joe Mazzulla opted to start Xavier Tillman instead of Horford or Sam Hauser. However, Tillman only played eight minutes. The Celtics played Saturday’s game without Al Horford, who was ruled out with a lingering toe injury. That freed up additional minutes for Kornet, who made the most of his opportunity. The veteran center’s 16 rebounds were a career-high, and the double-double was his second of the season. Rostered in two percent of Yahoo! leagues, Kornet would not be worth the risk in most leagues. However, between Horford’s toe injury and the desire to ensure Kristaps Porzingis (11/8/1/0/2 with one three-pointer) is at full strength for the playoffs, there may be more opportunities for Kornet to approach starters’ minutes during Boston’s four-game Week 22.

However, he’s another Celtics player who may be an “injury management” for Week 22, even with Boston not having any back-to-backs on their schedule.
