Phoenix’s disappointing 2024-25 season ended with a loss to Sacramento on Sunday, and head coach Mike Budenholzer was fired the following day. Booker may be the only “safe” player on the roster in what should be a busy summer for the franchise. He’s eligible to sign an extension worth $ 149.8 million over two seasons, and according to Windhorst, the Suns intend to offer their star guard that deal. With Phoenix not having control of its first-round pick for the rest of the decade, they’ll likely have to part with Kevin Durant or Bradley Beal (or both) to change the roster’s makeup significantly.

Butler injured his thigh during Sunday’s overtime loss to the Clippers. He played through it and said after that he would play against Memphis, and the initial injury report lines up with his statement. Butler should see a heavy workload in a matchup to make the playoffs and take on the Rockets in the first round.

Butler’s final stat line on Sunday was outstanding but came with some pain. He took a Kawhi Leonard knee to the left thigh during overtime but stayed in the game. That injury, combined with Stephen Curry’s right thumb, is why the Warriors could have used the time off that would have come with a victory over the Clippers. Instead, Butler and the Warriors will host the Grizzlies on Tuesday. Following the game, Butler said he was fine and will be in the lineup, but don’t be surprised if Jimmy is on the initial injury report.

While the addition of Jimmy Butler has negatively impacted Jonathan Kuminga’s (DNP-CD on Sunday) playing time and fantasy value, that has not been the case for Podziemski. The second-year guard has played well since the February trade deadline, providing eighth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. Podziemski’s emergence will be key for the Warriors, as they’ll need to beat Memphis on Tuesday to earn the seventh seed in the West. Houston will be the first-round opponent for the winner of that game, while the loser plays the Sacramento/Dallas winner for the eighth seed.

Dunn finished his rookie season with a double-double and a complete stat line on Sunday. While his season-long fantasy value was low, ranking outside the top-300 in eight- and nine-cat formats, Dunn did enough to earn consistent rotation minutes. He would move into the starting lineup for good in mid-March, providing top-150 value in nine-cat formats over the season’s final month. Like many other Suns, projecting Dunn’s fantasy value next season is difficult, as the roster should look far different.

The rookie center had moments in which he showed promise, but Mike Budenholzer’s rotation and the overall state of the Suns did not do Oso any favors. Ighodaro has the talent to be a factor in deeper fantasy formats, but that depends on what Phoenix’s roster looks like next season.

Jones finished his first season in Phoenix with a solid effort on Sunday. However, this was a disappointing campaign for a player believed to be the answer for the Suns at point guard. Jones fell out of the starting lineup in late February, with Sunday’s start being one of two he made over the season’s final six weeks. A 12th-round player in nine-cat formats because of his high assist-to-turnover ratio, Jones was ranked outside the top-150 in eight-cat. Depending on what the Suns’ roster looks like next season, Tyus will be a late-round option at best in standard league drafts.

Booker will sit out Sunday’s season finale with a sore calf. While expected co-stars Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal did not hit 65 games due to injuries, Book made 75 appearances and provided top-25 value in eight-cat formats. He’s a safe bet to offer that production level, but it’s pretty clear that significant changes need to be made in Phoenix this offseason. Whether or not that involves Booker remains to be seen. Hield isn’t going to surprise anyone at this point of his career. The 32-year-old shooting guard only played 23 minutes, but he took as many shots as anyone on the Warriors with 14 attempts. Hield made four three-pointers on his way to 16 points and didn’t provide much in the other categories. His role isn’t going to expand next year, but he can still fit the right fantasy team builds as largely a three-point specialist.

Butler’s two steals Friday made it eight games in a row with multiple swipes for the 35-year-old small forward. Butler also took on a larger scoring role with Stephen Curry re-aggravating a thumb injury. He poured in 24 points on 10 shots. Butler once again had a friendly whistle getting to the foul line 11 times and making all of his free throws. He also dished out seven assists for the second-straight game. Butler continues to excel with the Warriors since coming over from the Heat midseason.

With Stephen Curry having a historically poor night, Hield was one of the Warriors who attempted to shoulder some of the workload. The 20 points were the most he’s scored in a game since March 10, when he hit that number in a win over the Trail Blazers. Hield remained a player rostered in deep leagues, but his value has taken a significant hit from the All-Star break onward. Sunday’s performance was a welcomed one for those who kept the faith.

While Beal was solid from inside the arc on Sunday, shooting 8-of-14 from two, he struggled from three and at the foul line. The Suns guard missed all five of his three-point attempts and was 0-of-2 from the charity stripe, which was a lousy way to end Week 22 for Beal managers hoping for better percentages. The Suns trail 10th-place Dallas by two games in the loss column and have a game in hand heading into the regular season’s final week. Ighodaro made his fourth start of the season and first since March 21, replacing the inconsistent Nick Richards. The rookie had a solid night in Beantown, hitting double figures in scoring for the first time since March 14. While Ighodaro did not set the world on fire with his performance, he likely did enough to hold the job for Sunday’s game against the Knicks. For just the fourth time this season, Curry shot double-digit free throws, and the Warriors are now 4-0 when he does. In fact, his 14 attempts were a new season-high and the most he has shot in a game since 2021. This performance came on the heels of him scoring 52 points with 12 triples in a win over Memphis, and while Curry didn’t replicate that type of production, his 37 points with only four threes was still impressive. This was only the 12th time in Steph’s career that he had at least 35 points while making four or fewer triples.

Following a one-game absence with a pelvic contusion, Kuminga was back to playing his typical role as a scoring option off the bench for the Warriors. Since returning from a two-month absence, he has scored in double figures without reaching 20 points in nine of his 10 games, with the game where he exited after playing just seven minutes being the only exception. Having Kuminga contribute off the bench has been helpful for Golden State, and the encouraging aspect for dynasty managers is that he is still only 22 years old.

Less than a week after setting a new career-high with seven three-pointers, Podziemski eclipsed that mark once again. He got off to a blazing hot start to this game and entered halftime with 22 points and six three-pointers, which included a buzzer-beater from halfcourt to enter the break. His second season in the league started off slow, but the 2023 first-round pick ranks inside the top 50 in nine-cat leagues over the past two weeks. He’s heating up at the right time for the Warriors and will be an intriguing option in fantasy drafts next season.

He took advantage of the extra minutes, especially in the second half. 17 of his 23 points and five of his six three-pointers came after halftime, though it wasn’t enough for Phoenix to get the win. Beal has been out for a couple weeks, and Durant is set to miss a few more games, so Allen could certainly remain in the starting unit and play like he did last season.
