With Mark Williams serving a one-game suspension for fighting during Saturday’s win over the Pelicans, Ighodaro made his second straight start and seventh of the season. The second-year forward/center didn’t do much scoring, but he provided solid value in rebounds, assists and steals. Nick Richards was also productive, tallying nine rebounds and three blocks in 17 minutes off the bench. Williams will be available for Wednesday’s game against the Cavaliers, which will likely push Richards out of the rotation.

Brooks has now scored 20 points or more in 14 games this season, one more than his total for the entire 2024-25 campaign. He has been given more leeway offensively in Phoenix than he was in either Houston or Memphis, and the approach has not backfired on the Suns. While Brooks is still ranked outside the top-100 in eight- and nine-cat formats, the issue has been the decreased defensive production, not his offense.

Booker didn’t have a great night shooting the basketball, but the overall stat line was solid for the Suns’ star. The most significant issue for him recently has been turnovers, but Booker only committed two against the Wizards. Based on personnel alone, Wednesday’s matchup with the Cavaliers stands to be more challenging; hopefully, Booker can knock down shots at a higher clip than he did on Monday.

Gillespie has now hit at least four three-pointers in four straight games, the second time he’s accomplished that feat this season. The Suns guard has emerged as a dependable fantasy option, whether he comes off the bench or starts as he currently is. Lakers head coach JJ Redick said before Sunday’s game that Smith’s role would expand as the team moved forward without Austin Reaves, who is sidelined with a calf injury. The two-way contract guard playing 24 minutes was unsurprising, but the output certainly was. Smith notched his second 20-point game as a Laker, finishing four points shy of his season-high. Fantasy managers shouldn’t hop onto the Smith bandwagon yet, but they should watch him in Tuesday’s game against the Pistons.

As was the case in Thursday’s loss to the Rockets, James only attempted 13 shots on Sunday despite Austin Reaves (calf) being unavailable. The difference was that he made 11 against the Kings, and the final stat line only lacked a blocked shot. How much James can help the Lakers defensively at this stage in his career is up for debate, but the team will accept scoring efficiency on par with Sunday’s performance as well. A good tonic for a team struggling defensively is an opponent playing its second game in as many nights. While his fantasy value has decreased since a scalding hot start to the season, Brooks has done enough to remain on the radar in some 12-team leagues. Over the last two weeks, the veteran wing has been a ninth-round player in eight-cat formats, sitting just outside the top-100.
