Harden commended his new teammates for how together, connected and unselfish they are, saying he’s just happy to be there. The 36-year-old point guard played his role just fine Saturday. Harden took a back seat to Donovan Mitchell when it came to scoring, but he was able to dish out eight assists in the flow of the offense and also made 5-of-8 from behind the three-point line. His fantasy value figures to remain pretty high in Cleveland.

With Portland getting healthier in the backcourt, Love’s opportunities aren’t going to be as plentiful as they were earlier this season. The rookie deserves credit for staying ready, as he chipped in with 17 points and eight assists in 27 minutes. Portland’s three-game start to Week 17 includes a back-to-back, so Love should be active for at least one game. However, due to the 50-game limit and Scoot Henderson’s return, Love won’t be much help to those competing in redraft leagues.

Holiday certainly enjoyed seeing Memphis the last two days. In two Trail Blazers victories, he totaled 41 points on 14-of-25 shooting. While Holiday didn’t record any defensive stats on Saturday, the offensive output helps to compensate for that. He has been a top-50 player over the past week, but the playing time continues to hover in that 25-29 minute range. Portland plays three games before the All-Star break, including a back-to-back, which may not be ideal for those hoping to see Holiday play more.

Clingan injured his left thumb early in Saturday’s victory and had to get it taped up. That injury didn’t keep the second-year center from recording one of the best all-around lines of his career. He finished one board shy of his third 20-rebound game of the season, and Clingan’s fingerprints were also on this game as a scorer and defender. Clingan’s ability to play 36 minutes may be a sign that the thumb isn’t an issue, but more should be learned on Sunday. The Trail Blazers play five games in Week 17, with three scheduled for before the All-Star break.

Grant put on a show on Saturday, shooting 6-of-10 from beyond the arc. He’s scored at least 23 points in three consecutive games, and the 29 recorded against the Grizzlies were the most in a game for the veteran forward since putting up 35 in a December 14 win over the Warriors. While the rebounding and defensive output limit his fantasy ceiling, Grant is worth rostering for those seeking points and three-pointers.

Henderson made his season debut on Friday and came off the bench to log 21 minutes and nearly notch a double-double. The long-awaited return came with plenty of ups and downs. Henderson shot poorly from beyond the arc but was aggressive and had enough shooting volume to score in double figures. And while he led the team in assists, he also totaled five turnovers. Henderson will need time to work off the rust, but coming out of his first game healthily is an encouraging sign.

Holiday was productive in his 25 minutes. He shot the ball well and made great use of the charity stripe en route to finishing as one of two Trail Blazers to score at least 20 points. Not to be forgotten, the veteran guard was one of Portland’s most impactful passers, and he’s likely to continue doing so in his current role. Grant got the start for the injured Deni Avdija (back) and didn’t disappoint. In 28 minutes, the veteran forward scored well both in and outside the arc, ultimately finishing as Portland’s leading scorer on the evening. Even though the Cavaliers didn’t have James Harden for Wednesday’s game, Schröder’s role in his debut for the team was not far removed from what he’ll be asked to do once the team is whole.
