Reaves is back in the lineup after a three-game absence due to a groin injury. His return means Jake LaRavia heads back to the bench, where his fantasy value takes a slight hit. However, LaRavia is worth holding onto until LeBron James returns, especially in deep leagues. The other four starters are unchanged.

Thiero, the 36th overall pick in June’s draft, has been dealing with a left knee issue since last season while playing at Arkansas. He’s making positive progress in his recovery and could make his NBA debut at some point during the Lakers’ ongoing five-game road trip. After Monday, the Lakers play games against Oklahoma City, New Orleans and Milwaukee before returning home.

Cleared for contact activity last week, the 40-year-old forward will practice with the Lakers’ G League affiliate in South Bay on Monday. Reaves has been sidelined for the Lakers’ last three games, so it’s unclear if he’ll face a minutes restriction in his return to action. Jake LaRavia is the player who will be most impacted by Reaves’ availability, but the former has played far too well to see his minutes plummet. LaRavia is worth a hold until his numbers fall off.

Avdija did a little bit of everything in this back-and-forth shootout, recording his second straight double-double in the process. The 24-year-old forward has been a top-10 fantasy performer over the past week, per Basketball Monster, averaging nearly 31 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and one block over his last three games. It’s a small sample, but it underscores how impactful Avdija can be when he’s rolling — especially for a rebuilding Portland squad short on proven offensive options. The Trail Blazers will continue their five-game road trip on Monday night against the Magic before facing the Pelicans, Rockets and Mavericks to close out a four-game week.

Sharpe, who has been battling calf soreness since late October, came up just shy of notching a double-double in this one and could’ve had an even better scoring night had he not gone a ghastly 1-of-8 from downtown. The 22-year-old scorer is shooting just 38 percent from three-point range on a career-high seven attempts per-game this season. It’s only a nine-game sample, so we’re anticipating some regression here since he shot nearly 45 percent from long range last season.

Vanderbilt hasn’t been much of a producer in the box score this season, but he was able to have a productive night off the bench in this game. He had his first double-double of the season and set a new season-high for rebounds. It was an excellent performance for him, but this isn’t going to happen often. He averaged 8.5 points, 10 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals in his two starts in October, and the only time he’ll be worth considering as a streamer is when he’s starting.

In what was a bad loss for the Lakers, LaRavia, who remained a starter in place of Austin Reaves (groin), was able to have a solid night. LaRavia has been productive as a starter this season, and he’ll continue to play a large role for Los Angeles for the rest of the year. Prior to the game, head coach JJ Redick said that Reaves is expected to be back on this five-game road trip, with this game in Atlanta kicking that off. If Reaves remains out in Charlotte on Monday, LaRavia should get another start, but his time in that role is likely running out.

While Dončić was still the leading scorer for the Lakers, he wasn’t able to provide his usual dose of buckets. He set a new season-low for scoring in the ugly loss. The 40-year-old and not appeared in a game so far this season as he battles sciatica. Progressing to contact drills is certainly a good sign, and the team says he’ll be reevaluated in approximately 1-2 weeks. Given his age and the desire to have him healthy for the postseason, it seems fair to assume that the team may wait another two weeks for that evaluation and to update his timeline. Luca Doncic and Austin Reaves will continue to carry the load for the Lakers in the meantime.

For the first time this season, Ayton has recorded double-doubles in consecutive games. Faced with the challenging task of defending Victor Wembanyama, the Lakers center held his own and provided his team with needed production in the frontcourt. Thus far, Ayton has been a top-100 player in eight- and nine-cat formats, proving to be slightly more valuable in the former. Back in the Lakers’ starting lineup after sitting out Monday’s win over Portland, Dončić finished one rebound shy of a triple-double. And he made some history, becoming the first Laker to accumulate at least 35 points, 10 assists and five steals in a single game (steals did not become an official stat until 1973-74). While Avdija’s final stat line was solid, there were issues. He missed all five of his three-point attempts, but the six turnovers were more concerning, especially for managers in nine-cat leagues.
