After missing Friday’s game against the Suns, Johnson was available for San Antonio’s season finale. He ended up being their leading scorer off the bench to help them end the year on a high note. Johnson’s season was disappointing as his points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers and minutes all took a big hit. He averaged just 12.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 triples in a 23.9 minutes per game, though he was available for 77 games. He may not be a great fantasy option, but Johnson is a really strong reserve scorer for a Spurs team that should make a return to the postseason next year.

Though he didn’t have an efficient shooting performance, Castle was able to close out his rookie season on a high note. This was his eighth-straight game with at least five assists, and he has scored at least 20 points in four of those games. Castle will likely be named the Rookie of the Year for this season, and he has a bright future ahead of him. However, while he will have a good chance to start for the Spurs next season, he may not make the same statistical impact with the rest of the team healthy.

Banton played well as the starting point guard for Portland over their final seven games of the season. During this stretch as a starter, he has scored at least 20 points four times. He was also able to match his season-high of 23 points, which he has done a surprising four times this season without ever scoring more. Banton has benefitted from the absences of Anfernee Simons and Scoot Henderson, and he is set to be a free agent this summer. He could find a new team where he can be the backup point guard, but it will be difficult for him to find a situation where he can start.

Clingan closed out his rookie season on a high note by posting the eighth double-double of his young career. He has proven that he can be an effective player in a starting role, but it’s unclear what the rotation will look like in Portland next season. Deandre Ayton figures to be the starting center as long as he is with the Trail Blazers, and there hasn’t been any indication that they intend to move on. Clingan likely won’t be worth drafting next season if Ayton is on the roster.

Paul has had another solid season, though it has gone under the radar at times. However, with an appearance on Sunday, Paul was able to play in all 82 games for just the second time in his career. That is wildly impressive for a point guard who will turn 40 years old next month. Paul is nowhere near as productive as he once was, but he is still one of the best passers in the league at his age. As long as he is playing, there won’t be many players in the league who can match his combination of assists and steals with limited turnovers. Paul is a free agent this offseason and should be able to find a home if he wants to continue playing — his fantasy value will probably hinge on what kind of role he can find.

Avdija was initially doubtful for Sunday’s game, while Sharpe was questionable. Deni was one of the revelations of the fantasy basketball season, especially after moving into the starting lineup just after Christmas. From December 28 onward, he was a top-60 player in eight-cat formats. As for Sharpe, he remains a superior option for points league formats than category leagues, but his value increased after a knee injury sidelined Jerami Grant in early March. Kris Murray and Rayan Rupert should play significant minutes for Sunday’s season finale.

While the Trail Blazers have not reached the postseason in Billups’ four seasons as head coach, the team made strides during the 2024-25 campaign. A six-game winning streak that began in late January provided some optimism that the team could remain in the play-in tournament conversation, but injuries short-circuited those hopes. Billups’ contract for the 2025-26 season was not guaranteed, which changes with Sunday’s reported decision by team management.

Vassell will miss San Antonio’s final two games, a somewhat fitting end to his 2024-25 campaign. Due to injury, he missed 14 of the Spurs’ first 19 games and struggled to get going once wholly healthy. The good news for fantasy managers is that Vassell was far more impactful after the All-Star break, which enabled him to finish as a top-100 player in eight- and nine-cat formats. He’s capable of being much better than that, but Vassell has surpassed 65 games played once in his first five NBA seasons.

Grant’s season has come to a disappointing end. He has not played in a game since March 9. The veteran forward finished the season as a 12th-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats, shooting 37.3 percent from the field and offering limited value outside of the points and three-point categories. Grant is not a player who should be selected with a top-100 draft pick next fall, whether you’re talking points or category leagues.

Simons and Henderson will miss Portland’s final game of the season, meaning Dalano Banton will remain in the starting lineup. He should be slotted into lineups in active fantasy leagues due to Portland’s lack of options at point guard. While Simons finished the season as a ninth-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats, Henderson was ranked well outside the top-100 in both. Henderson’s per-game value did improve compared to his rookie season, which is encouraging. But he remains a better option for points leagues than category leagues.

Banton started and played 31 minutes Friday against the Warriors with Anfernee Simons and Scoot Henderson ruled out. The 25-year-old point guard is capable of big games when given the opportunity, but this certainly wasn’t one of those. Banton couldn’t get his shot to fall as he finished with three points on 1-of-12 shooting from the field. Portland finishes up the season Sunday with a matchup against the Lakers. While Banton could be in line for a similar workload, he’s made it difficult to trust him on the final day of the season.

The 21-year-old center also grabbed 15 rebounds, the third time he’s had at least 13 rebounds in his last six games. Clinghan has closed out the season providing top-100 value over the last month. With Harrison Barnes shut down at halftime, Mamukelashvili started the second half of Friday’s game. The 2021 second-round pick had a productive night, shooting over 50 percent from the field and finishing one block shy of a complete stat line. Since Barnes is looking to play all 82 games, he’ll likely start Sunday’s game against the Raptors. But there should still be plenty of playing time available to Mamukelashvili, who can provide value in those situations.

The betting favorite for Rookie of the Year honors, Castle finished Friday’s defeat with his sixth double-double. He also only committed two turnovers, efficiently making plays for his teammates. Chris Paul (one assist and two blocks) only played 14 minutes on Friday; his focus is on playing all 82 games. Champagnie started Friday’s game as Devin Vassell was out with a sore left ankle. Add in Harrison Barnes (two points, five rebounds and one assist) only playing 15 minutes, and there was ample room for Champagnie to put up numbers. He’s scored 20 points or more in four games this season, one more than his first two NBA seasons combined. While Barnes will likely start Sunday’s season finale against the Raptors, his minutes will likely be limited since the goal is to play all 82 games. Camara returned from a one-game absence on Sunday, and the second-year forward looked sharp. Three-point percentage is not a scoring category in most fantasy leagues, so Toumani going 4-of-11 from deep is not a big deal, especially when he made 50 percent of his shots overall. Banton has started Portland’s last four games, filling the void at point guard with Anfernee Simons (arm) and Scoot Henderson (concussion) unavailable. Shooting a shade below 50 percent from the field and committing one turnover, efficiency was not an issue for Banton against the Spurs. The 38.9 percent mark from the field is why he’s ranked outside the top 150 in nine-cat formats over the past week. That said, Banton will be worth the risk in active leagues if Simons and Henderson continue to miss time.
