Raynaud injured his left knee late in Friday’s loss to the Suns, hobbling off the court after being inadvertently clipped by teammate Russell Westbrook. The rookie’s MRI on Saturday showed no structural damage, and the fact that he’s expected to play on Sunday is excellent news. Drew Eubanks will remain in the backup center role, where there isn’t much fantasy value to be found.

Raynaud, who has filled in for the injured Domantas Sabonis as Sacramento’s starting center, had a rather nondescript night in Phoenix. Unfortunately, that changed when the rookie center’s left knee was clipped by teammate Russell Westbrook while setting a screen late in the fourth quarter. Raynaud exited immediately after the injury, and the Kings would be in a tough spot if he had to miss time. Drew Eubanks would likely re-enter the starting lineup, while Dylan Cardwell may need to be recalled from the G League.

Murray made three three-pointers against the Kings, but even more impressive was his consistent mid-range game. The 25-year-old small forward was 3-of-5 from behind the three-point line and 6-of-12 from inside it. Murray didn’t get much help from his teammates, though, as the Kings lost by 27. He’s scored at least 20 points for just the second time in his last 13 games. Murray will look to keep the hot hand going against the Bucks on Sunday.

Westbrook passed Oscar Robertson to become the highest scoring point guard in the history of the NBA with 26,711 points. The 37-year-old point guard also has the most rebounds of any point guard in league history as well as field goals made. Westbrook has had an incredible career and can still play at a high level. Westbrook had another down performance by his standards, one game after a low-production outing against the Clippers. He narrowly made it to double figures as a scorer, with inefficient, high-volume three-point shooting among the reasons for his low output. He was again unspectacular on the glass, but made contributions as a facilitator. Fantasy managers will hope that he can bounce back against the Suns on Friday to log a stronger final line.

Schröder shot well both inside and outside the arc to finish as one of Sacramento’s top scorers on the evening. And in addition to his scoring, he tallied a team-high in assists in his 28 minutes of game action. Schröder has now scored in double figures in seven straight games and continues to produce regardless of whether he’s starting games or not. He’ll have a chance to find more production against the Suns on Friday.

DeRozan bounced back from an eight-point outing against the Clippers to lead the Kings in scoring and finish as the only one on his team to reach the 20-point mark. Per usual, the bulk of his scoring was done inside the arc, but he also made use of the free-throw line. The veteran wing had some utility as a facilitator, as well, and is capable of some strong fantasy performances so long as the Kings stay competitive enough for him to log heavy minutes.

As anticipated, Davis will return from a groin injury suffered on Christmas Day against the Warriors that forced him to miss the last two games. A double-figure scorer in two straight and four of his last six appearances, Clifford recorded a season-high point total on Tuesday. And it’s worth noting that the rookie did not have to wait until “garbage time” to put up his points. Clifford shot 6-of-8 from the field in the first three quarters and finished a steal shy of a complete stat line. One solid performance does not make him a player worth adding, but Clifford is undoubtedly someone who would have added value if the Kings move some of their veterans before the February trade deadline.

Murray returned from his calf injury much sooner than many may have expected, as he was back in the lineup on Tuesday after a two-game absence. The only important takeaway from Tuesday’s game for Murray managers is that he got through it without aggravating the calf injury. The play of the Kings’ 2025 draft picks may have been the only positive to take from Tuesday’s 131-90 defeat. Raynaud recorded his sixth double-double since moving into the starting lineup. After logging 30 minutes on Christmas Day, Williams hit that number on Monday. Making a second straight start in place of the injured Anthony Davis, Gafford finished Monday’s defeat with one of his best stat lines of the season. In addition to recording his second double-double, the Mavericks’ center was responsible for four defensive contributions, his best output since December 20 against the 76ers. Gafford did take a quick trip to the locker room during Monday’s game, but the 26 minutes played were the most for him since November 24. With no Anthony Davis in the Mavericks’ lineup, there will be room for Washington to do a bit more offensively. On Saturday, he took as many shots as Cooper Flagg. With Anthony Davis (groin) out, there’s even more room for Flagg to exert his influence on the offensive end of the floor. That may have made Saturday’s performance somewhat disappointing for fantasy managers, even with the rookie scoring 23 points while shooting over 50 percent from the field. Flagg only attempted 13 shots on the day after putting up 21 in each of his two previous outings. Westbrook made some history on Saturday, as he passed Magic Johnson to move into seventh on the NBA’s all-time assists list. Overall, the veteran point guard played very well against the Mavericks, shooting 50 percent from the field and from beyond the arc while also recording a game-high nine assists. After totaling 13 points on 4-of-12 shooting in Dallas’ Monday/Tuesday back-to-back, Williams rebounded with his best performances of the season.
