Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd was ejected from Saturday’s game six minutes in, and it’s fair to wonder how this may have affected Flagg. The rookie had a rough night in Chicago, committing five turnovers in his 28 minutes on the floor. The good news for fantasy managers is that Flagg has had more good nights than bad, so he should not have much difficulty bouncing back. Especially with three of Dallas’ four Week 13 games coming against Brooklyn and Utah (they play the Jazz twice).

Marshall’s final stat line was solid, even if it didn’t keep the Mavericks from being on the wrong side of a blowout loss. Unfortunately, his fantasy prospects have taken a hit recently, due to a lack of defensive production and poor foul shooting. The Mavericks’ injuries open the door for Marshall to provide greater fantasy value, so he is worth the risk in deeper leagues.

Nembhard was back in the starting lineup on Saturday, as the Mavericks were without P.J. Washington and Anthony Davis due to injury. The rookie point guard was productive, with the six assists being the most in a game for him since December 29. Nembhard’s opportunities were also boosted due to Brandon Williams being out, so fantasy managers will want to keep Saturday’s production in perspective. The Mavericks play four games in Week 13, starting with the Nets on Monday.

Westbrook’s seven assists were the most in a game for him since December 27 and equal to his total in Sacramento’s prior two games. While he did shoot the ball well against the Warriors, the veteran point guard has made just 38.9 percent of his attempts over the past two weeks. That, combined with the decline in assists, has negatively affected Westbrook’s fantasy value. He’ll look to end Week 12 on a high note when the Kings host the Rockets on Sunday.

LaVine’s 6-of-8 night from inside the arc was countered by a 1-of-7 outside of it. Friday’s game was his second in the starting lineup since returning from a sprained ankle. With the Kings not showing signs of being able to climb out of the hole that they’ve dug themselves, this is a team to watch in the lead-up to the February trade deadline. LaVine’s name has been mentioned in rumors, and fantasy managers should hope for a change of scenery to ensure that he’s relevant during the playoff weeks.

For the first time since December 21 and 23, DeRozan has scored 20 points or more in back-to-back games. The decreased scoring output and percentages have the veteran wing outside the top-100 in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. DeRozan’s season-long value remains high, but he’s one of the players on the Kings’ roster worth watching as the trade deadline approaches. Due to an illness, Williams had to leave Thursday’s loss to the Jazz after playing nine minutes. Davis injured his left hand during the fourth quarter of Thursday’s loss to the Jazz. According to Charania, a second opinion on the injury’s severity will be sought. If surgery is required, Davis could miss “a number of months.” With the Mavericks’ forward/center being the subject of trade rumors, an extended absence would likely put those to rest. As for Dallas’ approach to the rest of the season, losing Davis could affect Kyrie Irving’s return from the ACL tear he suffered last March. Dallas’s first-round pick in June’s draft is the last one that they’ll have complete control over until 2031, so the front office could decide that punting on the rest of this season is in the franchise’s best interest.

Thompson needed just 13 shots to tie season-highs in points and three-pointers on Thursday. His production didn’t come in bunches; it was spread throughout the game, with at least five points in each quarter. Additionally, the four-time NBA champion set a new season-high in assists and finished second on the team in that department. Thompson’s second season in Dallas has featured several highs and lows, but Thursday’s game marked a trend in the right direction after failing to score in double figures in the three previous games.

Flagg came within two assists of his first-career triple-double, as he collected double-digit rebounds for the fourth time this season, and reached 25 points or more for the seventh time. The rookie sensation also came through on the defensive end — there, he finished with four stocks and tied a career-high in steals. Flagg has enjoyed a stellar first NBA season. Davis was effective in his 35 minutes of game action, finishing as one of three Mavericks players to score at least 20 points and one of two to collect double-digit rebounds. Thursday’s double-double marked his 13th of the season. However, the veteran big man exited the floor late in the fourth quarter after suffering a hand injury and didn’t return. After scoring six points in back-to-back games, Raynaud reached double figures on Tuesday. The rookie center finished one rebound shy of a double-double, but he’s now played 35 minutes or more in four of his last six appearances. Raynaud’s offensive ceiling may be capped since he’s in a lineup with three ball-dominant players (Russell Westbrook, Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan). But, over the past two weeks, he has been an 11th-round player in nine-cat formats. Despite the limited ceiling, Raynaud is worth rostering as long as the Kings are without Domantas Sabonis.

DeRozan shot 3-of-6 from beyond the arc on Tuesday, the first time since December 18 (ten games) in which he’s made multiple triples in the same game. Fantasy managers don’t look to him for value in that category, but nights like Tuesday are helpful, considering the decreased scoring output. Compared to last season, DeRozan’s average (18.4) has declined by nearly four points. Because of the overall production and efficiency, he’s still offering top-50 value in nine-cat formats, but things could be better for the veteran guard/forward.

After playing 36 minutes off the bench in his first game back from a sprained ankle that sidelined him for nine games, LaVine was back in the starting lineup on Tuesday. The Kings did not have Keegan Murray, who will miss three to four weeks with a sprained ankle, so LaVine’s promotion did not come at the expense of Precious Achiuwa (nine points, nine rebounds, one steal, one block and one three-pointer in 22 minutes). LaVine recorded a complete stat line against Dallas, and he has the tools needed to threaten top-50 per-game value. Of course, that depends on how the Kings handle the trade deadline, as they should probably be “sellers.”

Williams entered Tuesday shooting a career-worst 18.8 percent from beyond the arc. However, his struggles did not prevent Cooper Flagg from passing the ball to the Mavericks’ guard, whose three-pointer with 33.9 seconds remaining proved to be the game-winning shot. Just as encouraging for the few who did not drop Williams is that his playing time has been solid recently. Despite coming off the bench, he’s played at least 24 minutes in five straight games, while Ryan Nembhard (three rebounds and four assists) has lost significant playing time and been bumped to the bench. For those who held onto Williams, keep doing so.

Davis didn’t have a good night shooting the basketball, but rebounds and blocked shots helped compensate. The 16 rebounds were one shy of his season-high, and the Mavericks’ forward/center has blocked seven shots over his last two games. With Daniel Gafford (10 points, 13 rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot) in the starting lineup, Davis can lurk more defensively, giving more opportunities to block shots from the weak side. While being the lone big on the floor may boost Davis’ offensive value, sharing the court with another big helps him defensively.

Flagg’s second stint as the primary playmaker in Dallas’ starting lineup has gone well. Through two games, the rookie has recorded 12 assists with just three turnovers. One of his six helpers on Tuesday set up Brandon Williams’ game-winning three-pointer with 33.9 seconds remaining. If Flagg can continue on this path of efficient playmaking, reaching his Yahoo!
