Perry will make his return to Sacramento to take over for Monte McNair, who parted ways with the Kings shortly after their play-in loss to the Mavericks. Perry was hired to be the team’s vice president of basketball operations in 2017 but was hired to become the general manager of the Knicks just months later. Perry remained in that role until after the 2022-23 season. Sacramento moved quickly to find a new general manager, and Perry will now have quite a few decisions to make. Will he remove the interim tag from Doug Christie and make him the full-time head coach? Perry may not have a first-round pick in his first draft; whether the Kings retain their pick will depend on how the final two play-in games play out and then the draft lottery in May.

Carter’s rookie season ended on a positive note individually, as he reached double figures for the fourth time. Offseason shoulder surgery delayed his NBA debut until after the New Year, with Carter playing 36 regular-season games. While he was worth stashing in dynasty league drafts before this season began, the former Providence standout did not deserve a look in redraft leagues. That will likely remain the case next season, but the Kings need to make a decision regarding their head coaching position, as Doug Christie was only the interim. Add in the need for an experienced point guard, and Carter’s fantasy outlook isn’t great.

Murray recorded a complete stat line on Wednesday, but the impact was muted. That was a fitting end to the season for the Kings forward, whose fantasy value took a significant hit. The signing of DeMar DeRozan during free agency did Murray no favors, and that was also true for the addition of Zach LaVine just before the trade deadline. While he did approach his Yahoo! ADP (87) in nine-cat formats, Murray failed to crack the top-100 in eight-cat. Murray is extension eligible this summer, but the Kings have many questions to answer, including who the head coach will be and the future of lead executive Monte McNair. How that impacts Murray remains to be seen, but he’s worth selecting with a top-100 pick in drafts.

It’s fitting that Sabonis would finish his season with a double-double, as he recorded 61 during the regular season. However, his impact was limited, with Anthony Davis, Dereck Lively II and Daniel Gafford combining to control the paint for most of Wednesday’s Play-In tournament matchup. Regarding fantasy value, Sabonis was a top-25 player in eight- and nine-cat formats for the season. However, his value took a significant hit after the trade deadline, with the De’Aaron Fox deal leaving the Kings with two high-scoring wings (Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan) and no legitimate point guard. How Sacramento addresses that decision during the offseason will impact Sabonis’ fantasy value in 2025-26.

DeRozan went out firing on Wednesday, shooting just under 50 percent from the field and finishing a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. Like other key Kings players, his fantasy value took a hit after De’Aaron Fox was traded to San Antonio. The lack of a point guard who can set up others consistently proved problematic for the Kings, who now have some significant decisions to make this offseason. DeRozan can approach top-50 fantasy value, but the task gets much easier when on the court with a legitimate lead guard.

LaVine led the Kings in assists on Wednesday, but inefficient play was an issue in the Play-In tournament defeat. The turnover count was worse than the field goal percentage, as LaVine committed five. After being traded to the Kings, the veteran guard was an eighth-round player in nine-cat formats, and a fifth-round player in eight-cat. While reuniting with DeMar DeRozan gave the Kings two high-scoring wings to pair with center Domantas Sabonis, the lack of a legitimate point guard was an issue. LaVine can approach top-50 value, but the task became more difficult when he was traded.

Ellis’ 2024-25 season ended with a whimper, as he provided limited value as the Kings’ fifth starter. He played 80 games this season, providing slightly higher fantasy value in his 28 starts. In those outings, Ellis averaged 9.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.1 steals, 0.9 blocks and 2.0 three-pointers in 31.1 minutes. Regarding playing time, he benefited from the decision to trade De’Aaron Fox. However, Sacramento must address the point guard position this offseason, which would limit Ellis’ fantasy value in 2025-26.

LaRavia has been out since March 25 with an incomplete scaphoid fracture of his left thumb, and he will not be available for Wednesday’s Play-In tournament game. Trey Lyles’s playing time has increased substantially, and that should remain the case against the Mavericks. The Kings will be without two crucial reserves, as Malik Monk (calf) is also out.

Phoenix’s disappointing 2024-25 season ended with a loss to Sacramento on Sunday, and head coach Mike Budenholzer was fired the following day. Booker may be the only “safe” player on the roster in what should be a busy summer for the franchise. He’s eligible to sign an extension worth $ 149.8 million over two seasons, and according to Windhorst, the Suns intend to offer their star guard that deal. With Phoenix not having control of its first-round pick for the rest of the decade, they’ll likely have to part with Kevin Durant or Bradley Beal (or both) to change the roster’s makeup significantly.

Dunn finished his rookie season with a double-double and a complete stat line on Sunday. While his season-long fantasy value was low, ranking outside the top-300 in eight- and nine-cat formats, Dunn did enough to earn consistent rotation minutes. He would move into the starting lineup for good in mid-March, providing top-150 value in nine-cat formats over the season’s final month. Like many other Suns, projecting Dunn’s fantasy value next season is difficult, as the roster should look far different.

Despite being replaced in the starting lineup by Mason Plumlee (4/5/3 in 22 minutes), Ighodaro still played more minutes in Sunday’s finale. The rookie center had moments in which he showed promise, but Mike Budenholzer’s rotation and the overall state of the Suns did not do Oso any favors. Ighodaro has the talent to be a factor in deeper fantasy formats, but that depends on what Phoenix’s roster looks like next season.

Jones finished his first season in Phoenix with a solid effort on Sunday. However, this was a disappointing campaign for a player believed to be the answer for the Suns at point guard. Jones fell out of the starting lineup in late February, with Sunday’s start being one of two he made over the season’s final six weeks. A 12th-round player in nine-cat formats because of his high assist-to-turnover ratio, Jones was ranked outside the top-150 in eight-cat. Depending on what the Suns’ roster looks like next season, Tyus will be a late-round option at best in standard league drafts.

The Suns played their season finale without Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, allowing Allen to figure prominently in the offensive game plan. He shot the ball well, making over 50 percent of his attempts, and fantasy managers in active leagues also benefitted from the assist tally. After a standout 2023-24 campaign, Allen returned to earth regarding fantasy value, finishing just outside the top-175 in eight- and nine-cat formats. His prospects for next season depend on how the Suns’ roster looks, as there is a clear need for change in Phoenix.

Sabonis may not be entering a three-point contest anytime soon, but he was elite against the Suns. The Kings center made all four attempts from beyond the arc on Sunday, adding bonus value to a solid overall stat line. Sacramento’s victory secured the ninth seed in the West, so they will host Dallas in a play-in tournament game on Wednesday. The Kings need to win two to reach the playoffs, and they’ll need an elite Sabonis to get the job done.

Booker will sit out Sunday’s season finale with a sore calf. While expected co-stars Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal did not hit 65 games due to injuries, Book made 75 appearances and provided top-25 value in eight-cat formats. He’s a safe bet to offer that production level, but it’s pretty clear that significant changes need to be made in Phoenix this offseason. Whether or not that involves Booker remains to be seen. Collin Gillespie should move into the starting lineup on Sunday.

The Suns have nothing to play for on Sunday, so Beal will sit for rest. To say this was a disappointing season for the veteran guard would be fair, as injuries limited him to 53 appearances. His absence means more playing time for Grayson Allen, who can provide points and three-pointers in that role. As for Richards, his fantasy impact after being traded to Phoenix was not what many managers hoped for. His continued absence means Oso Ighodaro will stay in the starting lineup, allowing the rookie to provide deep-league value.

Per usual, Sabonis was able to contribute a double-double in this game. He was able to record one before halftime as he entered the break with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Sabonis has played well recently, and after missing nine games in March (and exiting early from two others), it has been nice for him to be back out on the floor. Sacramento will wrap up the regular season against the Suns on Sunday. They have the same record as Dallas, who they will face in the Play-In Tournament. Who hosts the game will depend on how Sunday’s game goes, so managers should expect Sabonis to play a large role.

It was a rough first half for LaVine, but he was able to figure things out after the break. He scored 18 of his 26 points in the second half and 13 points in the final six minutes of the game. The ball didn’t go to him when the Kings had a chance to win it with two seconds left, which resulted in a loss that confirms they will finish the year with a losing record. They also now have the same record as the Mavericks and will need to beat the Suns on Sunday in order to host their Play-In matchup with Dallas next week.

Gillespie remains on a two-way contract, making games like Friday’s extremely important as he looks to carve out a consistent role. He played well enough over the past month to earn rotation minutes in Phoenix, but the franchise appears to be headed for significant changes once this disappointing season concludes. Sunday’s game in Sacramento should allow Gillespie to log substantial minutes, especially if the Suns sit Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.

Booker’s playing time decreased on Friday, playing 28 minutes in the Suns’ home finale after logging 40 in Wednesday’s loss to the Thunder. Of course, Phoenix was eliminated from postseason contention earlier in the week, so there’s no need for Booker to play starters’ minutes. For that reason, fantasy managers should plan for the possibility that he does not play in Sunday’s season finale in Sacramento.

Beal has surpassed 20 points in his last two outings, but it’s a “too little, too late” case for one of the most disappointing teams in the NBA this season. The veteran guard playing 28 minutes with nothing on the line was surprising, but Friday’s game was also Phoenix’s home finale. If he plays at all, fantasy managers in active leagues should anticipate Beal’s playing time being limited for Sunday’s game against the Kings.

Dunn had the best night of his rookie campaign in the Suns’ final home game of the season. He surpassed 20 points for the first time, and the double-double was his second. While Phoenix’s elimination from playoff contention may result in the veterans not playing as much, or at all, that isn’t a concern for Dunn. Fantasy managers in active leagues should ensure he isn’t sitting on the waiver wire ahead of Sunday’s finale against the Kings.

Durant has not played since March 30 due to a sprained ankle. With Phoenix no longer in postseason contention, there’s no reason for the star forward to return to the court if he isn’t completely healthy. The lingering question is whether Durant has played his last game in a Suns uniform, as significant changes could be made after this disappointing season.

While Beal was solid from inside the arc on Sunday, shooting 8-of-14 from two, he struggled from three and at the foul line. The Suns guard missed all five of his three-point attempts and was 0-of-2 from the charity stripe, which was a lousy way to end Week 22 for Beal managers hoping for better percentages. The Suns trail 10th-place Dallas by two games in the loss column and have a game in hand heading into the regular season’s final week. However, if they’re to have any chance of closing the gap, they need more production from Beal.
