Williams continues to be an underrated option in fantasy basketball, and he was productive once again as a starter on Tuesday. Williams is rostered in just 14 percent of Yahoo! leagues, but what has made him a valuable streaming option is Brooklyn’s five-game week that they’re currently in the midst of. Williams has provided top-75 value in nine-cat leagues over the past week, and he could certainly continue to produce at that level for the rest of the week. They still have three more games, so it isn’t too late to reap the rewards.

Thomas missed the first night of the back-to-back for Brooklyn, but he returned to the lineup on Tuesday. He got right back to being an elite scoring option and contributed 16 of his 27 points in the first half. Not only was this Thomas’ highest-scoring performance since November, but his 32 minutes were also the most that he has played in a game since then. Brooklyn still has three more games this week, though they have a back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s game is a tougher matchup (Boston), so expect Thomas to play in that game and sit out against Atlanta on Sunday.

Vassell had been quieter over San Antonio’s last two games after scoring 37 points last week, but he got back on track as a scoring option on Monday. His slump appears to be over, and he has contributed value in other areas, which has helped his fantasy impact. He has averaged 18.5 points, five rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.8 three-pointers per game over the last two weeks, which ranks inside the top-40 in nine-cat scoring. He should continue to be a strong option for the rest of the season.

Johnson came up big in the second half of Monday’s game, scoring 20 of his 28 points after the break. That wasn’t enough for San Antonio to get the win, but he did tie his season-high for scoring, which he has now reached three times this season. Johnson isn’t a great option in category formats, but he is more than capable of getting hot and knocking down a ton of shots. They play Dallas again on Wednesday, and Johnson will look to keep the offensive production going.

Despite being a consistent starter, Barnes has been a non-factor in fantasy basketball this season. He’s an efficient player that can hit some three-pointers, but he doesn’t help in any individual category. However, he was unconscious as a scorer in Monday’s loss. His two missed field goal attempts were both three-pointers, meaning he made all eight of his two-point attempts. He didn’t enjoy that same success at the free throw line as he made just one of his three shots. This was an excellent performance from him, but there is a reason that he is rostered in just 13 percent of Yahoo! leagues despite playing 27.4 minutes per game.

After an ineffective 18-minute runout in his return from a sprained ankle on Saturday, Clowney was far more impactful against the Lakers. He shot 3-of-8 from beyond the arc and recorded a steal and a blocked shot. The 19 points are the most Clowney has scored in a game since January 14 against Portland, and the Nets forward has the potential to be a “silly season” standout. However, it’s possible that Clowney won’t play in Tuesday’s game against the Cavaliers for injury management reasons.

While efficiency has been an issue for Johnson this season, that was not the case on Monday. He made 60 percent of his attempts against the Lakers and finished one blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. While Johnson has been ranked outside the top 150 over the past month, the circumstances in Brooklyn make him worth a roll of the dice in deep leagues. Occasionally, he’ll have a night like Monday that rewards fantasy managers for their patience.

The Nets’ seven-game losing streak ended on Monday, and the team’s balanced offensive effort was a factor. Johnson was one of three Nets to score at least 18 points, with Keon Johnson and Noah Clowney being the others. Over the past month, Cam has been a seventh-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats. Saturday’s loss to Charlotte was the first game he’s missed since early February; fantasy managers will hope Johnson is consistently available for the playoff weeks, as he has been a dependable option when playing.

The rookie guard did not commit a turnover in his 28 minutes on the floor, the second time he’s done so since the All-Star break. While the weekend in San Francisco may have worn Castle down some, he’s bounced back from a slow start to the “second half.” Rostered in 46 percent of Yahoo! leagues, the Spurs guard has been a 10th-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats over his last six.

Fox had a good night shooting the basketball, making 66.7 percent of his attempts. However, it wasn’t enough to keep the Spurs from getting blitzed in Minneapolis, the team’s seventh loss in nine games. While there may be a desire to give Fox all the time he needs to place his imprint on the roster, it’s fair to wonder if the Spurs will either decrease his minutes or hold him out of the occasional game as the season winds down. This was an ideal game for Brooklyn. A competitive loss is what every tanking team craves. It was also an encouraging performance for Johnson, who had his highest-scoring game in over two months. Though Brooklyn isn’t that far out of the Play-In Tournament, it would be surprising if they truly made a push to make it. Johnson was in and out of the lineup over the final few weeks of last season, and managers should expect that to happen again this year. Luckily, it didn’t start until late March last season, so there should be more time before that is a risk.

Brooklyn jumped out to a 25-5 lead on Thursday, but it wasn’t enough for them to get the win over Golden State. Martin was a big part of their early success as he scored 13 of his 17 points in the first half. Martin hasn’t been much of a factor in fantasy basketball this season outside of a few big scoring nights. Who anticipated this? Claxton, whose previous career-high for assists was six, dished out 10 dimes and nearly recorded a triple-double in Thursday’s loss. Claxton has been a strong category league player over the last few seasons because of his contributions in rebounds, blocks and field goal percentage, and managers shouldn’t expect Claxton to continue to be a reliable source of assists. With Cam Thomas back in the lineup, Johnson’s shot attempts took a hit Tuesday night. The 10 attempts are the fewest he’s had in a game since February 10, but the good news for fantasy managers is that Johnson snapped out of his three-point funk. After shooting 0-of-10 from beyond the arc in Saturday’s loss to the Pistons, he made three of his six attempts in San Antonio. Like D’Angelo Russell, availability has been an issue for Thomas. He’s only appeared in two games since injuring his hamstring on January 2, limiting his fantasy upside. And with the Nets playing two back-to-backs during Week 19, Thomas may be looking at a three-game week at best. Keon Johnson (8/7/1/1 with one three-pointer) only played 18 minutes off the bench, but he may be worth holding onto in deep leagues as a safety net in case Thomas misses more time.

Tuesday’s game was the second for Russell since the All-Star break, and availability will be a concern for the rest of the season. And with the Nets only two games behind 10th-place Chicago in the loss column, a little more “effort” may be required from the front office to improve the team’s lottery odds.
