After missing Friday’s game against the Suns, Johnson was available for San Antonio’s season finale. He ended up being their leading scorer off the bench to help them end the year on a high note. Johnson’s season was disappointing as his points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers and minutes all took a big hit. He averaged just 12.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 triples in a 23.9 minutes per game, though he was available for 77 games. He may not be a great fantasy option, but Johnson is a really strong reserve scorer for a Spurs team that should make a return to the postseason next year.

The undrafted rookie wrapped up his first season in the NBA on a high note. Battle set new career highs for both points and three-pointers and became the 48th rookie in league history to hit seven triples in one game. He is the fourth rookie this season to reach that mark, with Bub Carrington, Dalton Knecht and Jaylen Wells also doing it. Battle has played well as part of Toronto’s rotation over the past month, but there likely won’t be minutes for him with the Raptors to start next season.

Though he didn’t have an efficient shooting performance, Castle was able to close out his rookie season on a high note. This was his eighth-straight game with at least five assists, and he has scored at least 20 points in four of those games. Castle will likely be named the Rookie of the Year for this season, and he has a bright future ahead of him. However, while he will have a good chance to start for the Spurs next season, he may not make the same statistical impact with the rest of the team healthy.

He didn’t do enough scoring to reach a triple-double, but Mogbo became the seventh player this season to record a rebound-assist double-double. It was a solid way to end his rookie season and cap off a four-game stretch where he averaged 12.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, nine assists, 2.5 steals and one block per game. The second-round pick has showcased a ton of upside in year one, but it’s unclear how he’ll fit into the rotation next season when the rest of the team is healthy. Still, when he gets the opportunity to play, he should be an effective, well-rounded fantasy option.

In what has been a disappointing season for both Barnes and the Raptors, he was able to close the season out on a high note. He finishes his fourth season in the NBA with averages of 19.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.4 steals, one block and 1.2 threes per game. Toronto should be more competitive next season with Brandon Ingram and a lottery pick entering the rotation. That should help Barnes bounce back from a disappointing campaign where he shot a career-worst 44.6 percent from the floor.

Paul has had another solid season, though it has gone under the radar at times. However, with an appearance on Sunday, Paul was able to play in all 82 games for just the second time in his career. That is wildly impressive for a point guard who will turn 40 years old next month. Paul is nowhere near as productive as he once was, but he is still one of the best passers in the league at his age. As long as he is playing, there won’t be many players in the league who can match his combination of assists and steals with limited turnovers. Paul is a free agent this offseason and should be able to find a home if he wants to continue playing — his fantasy value will probably hinge on what kind of role he can find.

Temple played just two minutes before suffering a knee sprain that will keep him sidelined for the rest of the season finale. Toronto will only have seven available players to close out this game. AJ Lawson should see a boost in minutes with Temple unavailable. Temple ends his age-38 season as merely a veteran presence reserve and has started just twice in three seasons. He’ll be a free agent this offseason and could struggle to continue his career.

Boucher last played on February 26, and he’ll end the season with averages of 10 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.4 triples in 17.2 minutes per game. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent this summer and could end up leaving Toronto despite being with the team since 2018.

Boucher is a late addition to the injury report, though his status for this game won’t impact Toronto’s rotation. Even when healthy, he hasn’t appeared in a game since February, even with the Raptors tanking in recent weeks.

Johnson will be on the court for San Antonio’s season finale after sitting out Friday’s loss to the Suns. However, he may not be a lock to play significant minutes since the Spurs have nothing on the line. Malaki Branham and David Duke Jr., who aren’t as proven as Johnson, could play more on Sunday.

Vassell will miss San Antonio’s final two games, a somewhat fitting end to his 2024-25 campaign. Due to injury, he missed 14 of the Spurs’ first 19 games and struggled to get going once wholly healthy. The good news for fantasy managers is that Vassell was far more impactful after the All-Star break, which enabled him to finish as a top-100 player in eight- and nine-cat formats. He’s capable of being much better than that, but Vassell has surpassed 65 games played once in his first five NBA seasons.

Rhoden will remain out for Sunday’s season finale, the second straight game he’s missed with a shoulder injury. On a two-way contract, Rhoden only appeared in 16 games this season. Since he isn’t guaranteed a standard contract for next season, he should not be on draft boards next fall.

Barrett will sit out Sunday’s season finale for rest reasons, while Walter’s absence is due to a tight right hip flexor. Ochai Agbaji and Jamison Battle started Friday’s loss in Dallas and should retain those roles in San Antonio. Barrett has long been a better option in points leagues than category leagues, but he did make some strides in the former this season, providing 12th-round value in eight-cat formats. However, the addition of Brandon Ingram at the trade deadline does not bode well for Barrett’s fantasy prospects in 2025-26. The same can be said for Walter, as injuries limited the first-round pick to 52 appearances as a rookie. While Barrett can be selected with a late-round pick in standard drafts, Walter should be left alone in redraft leagues.

Quickley and Poeltl will end their seasons in street clothes, as both will sit out Sunday’s finale in San Antonio. While he finishes the season as a ninth-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats, injuries limited Quickley to 33 appearances this season. With the addition of Brandon Ingram at the trade deadline, Quickley’s scoring opportunities may decrease next season. As for Poeltl, the veteran center was a top-50 player in nine-cat formats and ranked just outside that threshold in eight-cat. While his scoring may take a hit next season, Poeltl does enough as a rebounder and defender to preserve most of his fantasy value. Jamal Shead and Jonathan Mogbo should remain in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game.

With Harrison Barnes shut down at halftime, Mamukelashvili started the second half of Friday’s game. The 2021 second-round pick had a productive night, shooting over 50 percent from the field and finishing one block shy of a complete stat line. Since Barnes is looking to play all 82 games, he’ll likely start Sunday’s game against the Raptors. But there should still be plenty of playing time available to Mamukelashvili, who can provide value in those situations.

The betting favorite for Rookie of the Year honors, Castle finished Friday’s defeat with his sixth double-double. He also only committed two turnovers, efficiently making plays for his teammates. Chris Paul (one assist and two blocks) only played 14 minutes on Friday; his focus is on playing all 82 games. If a similar approach is taken for Sunday’s season finale against the Raptors, Castle will again spend more time as the Spurs’ primary playmaker.

Champagnie started Friday’s game as Devin Vassell was out with a sore left ankle. Add in Harrison Barnes (two points, five rebounds and one assist) only playing 15 minutes, and there was ample room for Champagnie to put up numbers. He’s scored 20 points or more in four games this season, one more than his first two NBA seasons combined. While Barnes will likely start Sunday’s season finale against the Raptors, his minutes will likely be limited since the goal is to play all 82 games. That raises Champagnie’s ceiling, especially if Vassell remains out.

It has been a rough stretch offensively for Barnes. but after getting two games off to nurse his right hand injury, he was able to have some success on Friday. He had his highest-scoring performance since March 20 despite his abysmal night from the free throw line. It’s unclear if Barnes will be available for Toronto’s season finale in San Antonio on Sunday since they are locked in to the seventh-best lottery odds. If this was Barnes’ final game of the season, he was able to end a rough year on a high note.

Agbaji got off to a scorching hot start to Friday’s game and scored 17 points in the first quarter alone while shooting a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor, which included five three-pointers. Unfortunately, he didn’t do much over the final three quarters to add to his spectacular start. This tied his season-high for both points and three-pointers, both of which were set in a late-November win over the Pelicans. Agbaji has been in and out of the lineup recently, so his status for Sunday’s finale in San Antonio is unclear.

Lawson, who signed a contract with the Raptors earlier in the day on Friday that will keep him with Toronto through the end of the 2025-26 season, played well in his first game since signing the new deal. He recorded his second career double-double, with the first coming a little over a month before this one. Lawson should once again play a significant role in the season finale in San Antonio on Sunday, but he isn’t a player that will carry much value over to next season.

Vassell has snapped out of his recent mini-slump, scoring 45 points across his last two appearances. Over the past two weeks, he has been a top-60 player in nine-cat formats, by far the Spurs’ most valuable option in category leagues. However, with the Spurs officially eliminated from postseason contention, it’s fair to wonder if Vassell’s minutes will decrease during the season’s final week. If so, that would be bad news for Vassell managers whose leagues will be active.

Castle has scored 22 points in four of his last seven appearances, including Sunday’s performance. However, efficiency remains an issue, with the rookie shooting 40.5 percent from the field over the past two weeks. Add in an average of three turnovers per game and limited defensive production, and Castle is ranked well outside the top-150 in eight- and nine-cat formats. That said, Castle is worth the risk despite those issues since his availability is not an issue.

While Shead did not have a great afternoon shooting the basketball, he was excellent at distributing it. The first-round pick out of Houston is the seventh rookie and first since Deron Williams to have an eight-game run in which he recorded at least 53 assists and nine turnovers or less. Like fellow rookie Jonathan Mogbo, Shead has received additional opportunities because veterans have been unavailable. Managers whose leagues will be active during Week 23 should strongly consider adding Shead, especially if they need assists.

While Agbaji finished one blocked shot shy of a complete stat line, this was not his best performance. The turnover count was more concerning than the field goal percentage, as he racked up four. However, the Raptors’ current rotation looks nothing like it will when the team is whole. Fantasy managers watching Agbaji with an eye toward next season’s drafts should keep that in mind; even if he were to blow up, his draft value will be pretty low with a healthy Scottie Barnes, Brandon Ingram and RJ Barrett in the fold.

Once again filling in for the injured Scottie Barnes, Mogbo was excellent in Brooklyn. He recorded his first double-double, joining Jared Rhoden, Jamal Shead and Ja’Kobe Walter as Raptors who have recorded their first double-double this season. With the Raptors out of postseason contention, playing time should not be an issue for Mogbo during the season’s final week, regardless of Barnes’ availability.

Immanuel Quickley is resting, so Jamal Shead will return to the starting lineup against Brooklyn. Scottie Barnes’ hand injury will help Jonathan Mogbo retain his position for the time being.
