Barnes served as Toronto’s primary offensive catalyst in this one, shooting 60 percent from the floor in a one-sided affair. The 24-year-old briefly left the contest late in the second quarter with an apparent left hand injury but managed to return at the outset of the third quarter. The Raptors had six players score in double figures as they raced out to a 25-point lead by the start of the fourth quarter. Barnes will look to keep the momentum going when Toronto faces the Hawks on Friday night in a road tilt.

Durant struggled with his shot on Monday, making two of his eight attempts from beyond the arc. However, he did record a complete stat line, providing solid value in the rebound and assist categories. Thus far, Durant has been a top-20 player in nine-cat formats, which aligns with his Yahoo! Thompson came out hot to begin Monday’s game, scoring 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting in the first half. That’s the highest point total he’s recorded in a single half in his NBA career. The Mavericks did a better job defending Thompson after the intermission, but he still recorded an excellent overall stat line. His fantasy value has been low thus far, due mainly to turnovers and a low free-throw percentage. Ingram logged another productive stat line on Sunday, utilizing accurate shooting to finish the contest as one of Toronto’s best scorers. Nine of his 10 made field goals came inside the arc, while he also chipped in five free throws to help land his fifth 20-point outing of the season. The veteran forward has gotten off to a fast start in Toronto and is posting some of the best shooting splits of his career through seven games. He’ll look to stay hot against the Bucks on Tuesday.

Barnes did a little bit of everything on Sunday for the Raptors. On the offensive side, he was a productive scorer both inside and outside the arc while also functioning as the team’s primary facilitator. Meanwhile, he was the only Raptors player to log at least one steal and block on Sunday, with his six stocks marking a new season high. Barnes has gotten off to a productive start to his fifth NBA season and is displaying vastly improved three-point shooting thus far. If he can remain efficient from beyond the arc, he becomes even more valuable in fantasy leagues.

Despite a rough shooting night from beyond the arc, Barrett still finished as the game’s leading scorer on Sunday — high volume helped him nearly produce 30 points, as did contributions from the charity stripe. Yet, the seventh-year wing got his teammates involved along the way and recorded a season high in assists in the win. Barrett’s start to the season has yielded similar statistics to those of last year in Toronto, which suggests he should be able to maintain his current level of production throughout the year.

Durant’s unmatched scoring ability has elevated Houston’s offense to another level, as the Rockets boast a league-best 125.2 offensive rating through the season’s first week. The 37-year-old future Hall of Famer came out blazing in this one, knocking down 7-of-8 shots and pouring in 20 first-half points to give Houston an 18-point cushion at the break. He likely would’ve cleared the 30-point mark for the third time in six games had Boston kept it closer down the stretch. Sengun fell one assist shy of recording a triple-double as Houston’s sheer size and athleticism advantages were simply too much for the undersized Celtics. He shot just 38 percent from the floor in this one, but he was able to pull down 10 rebounds and served as the Rockets de-facto point guard for large stretches of the contest. Fred VanVleet (knee) suffered a torn ACL just before the start of training camp. While he has not officially been ruled out for the entire 2025-26 season, a DPE can only be granted if the player will not play. Per the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, the exemption would be equivalent to 50 percent of the injured player’s annual salary. VanVleet is due to make $25 million this season. Having totaled 11 points in his first two games as a Raptor, Mamukelashvili exceeded that number on Sunday. Poeltl played 19 minutes, finishing with four points, eight rebounds, four assists and one steal. Returning to the city where he began his NBA career on Thunder ring/banner night, Durant struggled with his perimeter shot (0-of-4 from three) and finished with more turnovers (four) than assists (three) in the one-point defeat. Things could have worsened in the first overtime, as Durant was signaling for a timeout the Rockets did not have. However, the officials did not acknowledge the request, so the game went into a second overtime. Durant, who was excellent in the mid-range, will find his perimeter shot in time while getting more acclimated to an offense that currently lacks a legitimate point guard. There’s no need to sound the alarm after Game 1, and his overall shooting and rebounding numbers were solid.
