Paul was waived by the Raptors on Friday afternoon and shortly afterwards, took to Instagram to announce his official retirement, saying, “This is it! After over 21 years, I’m stepping away from basketball.” Paul had previously announced that this would be his final season, but then tensions flared with the Clippers earlier in the year, which led to his departure from the team. Paul was a 12-time All-Star, 11-time All-NBA point guard, five-time assists leader, nine-time All-NBA defensive team honoree, and two-time Olympic gold medalist with the United States men’s basketball team. He averaged 16.8 points, 9.2 assists, and 4.4 rebounds in his career and will undoubtedly be a Hall of Famer.

The Pacers were fined $100,000 for violating the Player Participation Policy in relation to the team’s February 3 game against the Jazz. After an investigation that included an independent review, it was deemed that Pascal Siakam and two other starters could’ve played under the medical standard in the policy. The team could’ve also held those players out in a way that “better promoted compliance” with the policy, according to a release from the NBA.

Barnes has enjoyed an excellent season, and he will enter the All-Star break on a high note, even if it wasn’t enough for the Raptors to get a win. This was his fourth game with at least four blocks over the past two weeks, and he has averaged 18.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.8 blocks while shooting 54.4 percent from the floor during that stretch. After playing in the All-Star Game, Barnes will look to finish out the final two months of the regular season strong.

Poeltl suited up for the first time since December and was immediately back in the starting unit. He played 20 minutes and wasn’t productive, but it was a positive step to see him back out on the floor. It has been a rough season to this point for Poeltl, but he’ll get some time to rest more during the All-Star break. He’ll look to have a more productive final two months of the regular season.

Walker returned from a one-game absence due to an illness and was inserted into the starting unit with multiple starters sitting out. That led to his fourth 20-point outing of the season, which was enough for the Pacers to win their second straight game. Walker should continue to play a significant role down the stretch, and while there will likely be some inconsistency mixed in, he should have some big performances like this one.

Potter started the Pacers’ game on Tuesday but was pushed to a reserve role for this one. However, his minutes only decreased by two. He ended up setting a new season-high for scoring and recorded his third double-double of the season. With Ivica Zubac expected to be sidelined for a while, Potter should be a big part of the rotation in Indiana for the remainder of the season, which could lead to more productive outings like this one.

All five starters are new, with Walker back in the lineup after missing Tuesday’s win over the Knicks due to illness. While Ivica Zubac will have to wait until after the All-Star break to make his Pacers debut, Brown was part of the team’s bench rotation on Tuesday. While the former first-round pick’s production was solid, it wasn’t enough to make him a must-add yet. That said, keep an eye on Brown after the All-Star break, especially if the Pacers decide to do all they can to lock down one of the league’s four-worst records.

Active after a two-game absence, Jackson was inserted into the starting lineup on Tuesday due to Johnny Furphy’s season-ending knee injury. The two-way contract guard took advantage of his opportunity, shooting 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. In addition to the points and three-pointers, Jackson provided solid value in the rebound and assist categories as part of a complete stat line. With the Pacers playing Brooklyn on Wednesday, they’ll likely be shorthanded. If Jackson is active, he’ll be worth streaming if Pascal Siakam and Andrew Nembhard sit.

After recording two double-doubles in 2024-25, Nembhard dropped his eighth of the 2025-26 season on Tuesday. With Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) out, the Pacers guard has shouldered more of the offensive workload. While Nembhard’s fantasy value hasn’t received the boost that many fantasy managers hoped for before the season began, his role makes him a must-roster player. As for Wednesday’s game against the Nets, fantasy managers need to play for Nembhard not playing, as he’s missed one leg of each of Indiana’s last two back-to-backs.

The Pacers entered Tuesday with a 3-22 road record this season, but that didn’t prevent them from taking down the Knicks in overtime. As he’s done on many occasions this season, Siakam led the way offensively and showed why he’s headed to the All-Star Game despite Indiana’s poor record. The 30-point game was his tenth of the season and first since January 21. However, with Siakam having missed one leg of the Pacers’ past two back-to-backs, this may have been his final appearance before the All-Star break. Consider him questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Nets.

Nembhard had a rough afternoon in Toronto, continuing a slump in which he’s shot 12-of-40 from the field over his last three games. Having shot 36.1 percent from the field, his fantasy value is ranked outside the top 150 over the past two weeks. While his season-long fantasy value remains respectable, Nembhard’s value has not received the boost that many fantasy managers hoped with Tyrese Haliburton unavailable. He’s higher on opposing teams’ scouting reports, and that’s affected Nembhard’s efficiency.

Sunday’s game got away from Siakam and the Pacers in the third quarter, as the Raptors outscored them by a 44-26 margin. That factored into Spicy P playing only 24 minutes, which may be a concerning development for managers counting on him to deliver consistently excellent production through the fantasy playoffs. However, this was the first game since January 10 in which Siakam played less than 32 minutes, so there’s no need to panic. The Pacers play five games in Week 17, starting with the Knicks on Tuesday.

Jackson-Davis made the most of his debut appearance for the Raptors, recording a double-double. While 16 minutes aren’t a big deal for most players, TJD met or exceeded that number just 14 times with the Warriors this season before being traded. The issue moving forward is that the Raptors were shorthanded on Sunday: Jakob Poeltl (back) was out, and Collin Murray-Boyles left the game in the first half with a thumb injury. While Jackson-Davis played well, fantasy managers should not overreact.

Back in the lineup after sitting out Thursday’s win over the Bulls, Barrett had a good afternoon against the Pacers. All that was missing from his stat line was a blocked shot. Unfortunately, Barrett’s fantasy value has tailed off after a hot start to the season. But, in fairness to him, there may have been too much expected of Barrett in terms of fantasy value. While days like Sunday are certainly possible, Carter is a better option in points leagues than category leagues.

With Jakob Poeltl (back) still out and Collin Murray-Boyles exiting before halftime after aggravating his left thumb injury, the Raptors needed a bit more from Mamukelashvili on Sunday. As has been the case multiple times this season, Mamu stepped up, and he’s scored at least 14 points in four consecutive games. All that was missing from Murray-Boyles’ stat line on Thursday was a three-pointer, and that isn’t a category where he usually provides value. The rookie forward/center did appear to tweak his left thumb during the victory, but he remained in the game. Afterward, Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic said that the protective wrap will stay on Murray-Boyles’ left thumb for another five weeks. The only concern for fantasy managers is what happens when Jakob Poeltl (back) returns, as he could be back before the All-Star break. The 57th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Jackson-Davis’ playing time decreased in each of his three seasons with the Warriors. He was essentially passed in the rotation by Quinten Post, a second-round pick in the 2024 draft. Jackson-Davis appeared in 36 games this season, averaging 4.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 11.1 minutes. This transaction is unlikely to affect fantasy basketball, as the Raptors added a frontcourt player in last summer’s draft lottery (Collin Murray-Boyles) and in free agency (Sandro Mamukelashvili).
